Poor Management
The property is located in a beautiful spot. However, upon checkin the person working the front desk did not provide any additional feedback about the area until I asked her. Then, when we actually got to the cabin our bathroom floor was flooded due to a toilet leak. We promptly went back to the office to let them know and was very nonchalantly told it would be morning before anyone could get to us. They did end up sending maintenance out but we were told “it was a slow leak and they’ve put towels down there and it should be fine until morning”. However, when we woke up the next morning the towels were soaked and there was water puddling all over the floor. We were assured that maintenance would be out and we would be provided extra linens. When we returned to our cabin after hiking that day, we were given a trash bag full of linens and the floor was dry but it only took about an hour for the floor to be sopping wet again. We let the office know again. Nothing was done. When we checked out the next morning we were assured that a manager would call. No one ever called. I called back today (24 hours after checkout) because I received what looked like a receipt for an additional cleaning fee. I asked for the manager. HIs name was Steve. He promptly started interrupting me and would not let me finish a sentence and kept saying that because I paid through a third party they could not control that I had already been charged a cleaning fee and they only charged the cleaning fee. I was not overly upset until my conversation on the phone with Steve and felt like the whole experience was a minor/reasonable inconvenience until he was so rude on the phone. We would have stayed again except for his lack of management skills.
