Beautiful country 'rustic' house approx. 20 minute drive from Malaga airport,and Marbella, consists of spacious lounge with fireplace, dining area and open plan kitchen, two double bedrooms and family bathroom. A separate Anexe / guest house provides the 3rd double bedroom, shower room, and new children's bedroom and shower room incl toilet makes up the 4th bedroom.
As well as the small fridge freezer in the kithcen there is also on the terrace a full American type fridge/freezer along with washing machine on the outside terrace.

The property is fully legal and registered with the Tourist Accommodation Vivienda Rural no. CTC-201625485.

A unique property for Spain in that its not the normal white painted villa but much more being as a full log cabin that is cool in the summer months and warm in the winter months.
Access to the truly stunning large covered terrace from the kitchen is the summer central living area for the whole property which includes gas barbie, outdoor kitchen, Heated Jacuzi, Pool Table, Dining and Lounge seating (sofas) areas with music system open log fire dart board, exercise bike and electric Yamaha keyboard.

From the outdoor swimming pool are views of the valley from a viewing platform where you can enjoy the sunrise or sunset or just use it simply for sunbathing purposes on the double 'chill out' bed complete with roof, Moroccan cushions and privacy curtains. Or laze with a drink on the Swing for 2.
The property is finished to the highest standards and features air conditioning on timed meters, at a cost of 1 euro per 1.5 hours, internet access (laptop/tablet required). Dvds, music system, covered terrace, pool table, jacuzzi darts board and and outdoor pool.

The new children's room and shower/wc increases the accommodation so a total of
10-12 can be housed very comfortably but not totally suitable for 6 couples. A mix of adults and children would be much preferred due to number of single beds. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO WE ALLOW FOR 12 SINGLE MEN OR 12 SINGLE WOMEN TO BOOK - WE CATER FOR FAMILIES WITH NUMBERS UP TO 12.

All linen and towels (inc. beach/pool towels) are provided.
There will be a 750.00 Euros returnable security damage deposit which will be held by VRBO against your credt card and will be fully refundable providing there are no breakages or damage to the property.

A car is an absolute necessity as the house is based at the top of a mountain and in 40 degree heat it is impossible to walk to the supermarket and carry back a week's shopping even though the nearest town is only an 8 minute drive from the house.

Holiday time

The property With its beautiful views and accomodations was spot on for our family. Outdoor and indoor activities and something for every interest. The host was wonderful and fixed every issue or question we had during our stay.

An absolute gem

The lodge is an absolute gem. Difficult to find but when you do it will blow your mind. You are in the campo so expect some of the campo to come and meet you. This was more than our expectations were and would book again if we need to. The facilities are spot on for a family. When the host say a car is essential, they mean a car is Essential although once ensconced in, there is enough to do for whatever length of stay you have. At night from the viewing deck, you look over the entire town of Alhaurin el Grande, and look up to see a full network of stars and watch shooting stars. Just brilliant. We went as a family including 8 and 10 year olds but also 15 and 19 years old and were not bored for one minute. Brilliant! The only negative is that not all of the bedrooms have fully functioning air con and that would have been a real plus. However it did not spoil our break. Do not think twice about booking. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic 5 star stay

We’ve just returned from an amazing stay at this villa. The pictures do not do it justice. From the very beginning everything to do with the villa was great. The villa hosts, Annie and Rick, were great. Brilliant communication including meeting us to take us directly to the villa. The villa itself is fantastic; so much to do and very well equipped….there was something for everyone! Was great being able to spend our days by the pool then bbq and play pool and darts outside in the evening! The views from the villa were spectacular…enjoyed catching the morning sunrise from the terrace. Thank you Annie and Rick….we’ll defo be back x

A really relaxing stay with amazing views

Really relaxing - brilliant amenities and outstanding views! Watching the sunrise from the veranda was such a wonderful experience. Lots to entertain the children- swimming pool, darts and a pool table to name a few. Annie and Rick were so helpful- there to answer any of our queries and to help in any way they could. The drive up the mountain is a bit daunting at first but once you’re used to it - it’s easy. I would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful villa with incredible views

We have just returned from an amazing week at the villa. The villa and grounds are beautiful (the photos don’t do it justice) and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was a good size and kept the children entertained for hours and we loved chilling out in the covered veranda area in the evenings. The drive up to the villa is very steep, however this was not a problem once we had got used to this and it did mean that there were incredible views from the terrace at the top. Rick and Annie were great hosts - they were really helpful and answered all of our questions. Overall a great week in a beautiful place!

A very beautiful mountain hideaway

A lovely week in a fun, clean and quirky cabin in the mountains. Lots of games and things to do for the kids (and adults) and a very refreshing pool. Everything was well equipped and the views were lovely. Rick and Annie were really helpful throughout. My only criticism, (and this is probably just because we had a freak 42c heatwave) was that one couple’s rooms just had a fan and didn’t have air con and they found it a little hot, but our room was lovely and cold! Location as advertised, it’s at the top of a mountain and you need to drive to get about anywhere, but we just did a few trips to the supermarket and had a wonderful time just bbqing and having pool side drinks. Nice to get away from the manic tourist areas and there’s restaurants about a five min drive that are really pleasant and good Value. A genuinely refreshing property, definitely one of a kind and a memorable trip for everyone :)

Beautiful retreat

We just returned from a great stay at the villa. We were a group of 8 ranging from age 11 to 77. We all loved the villa and there was plenty to keep everyone entertained from the swimming pool, hot tub and games area. Rick and Annie were perfect hosts and were always happy to help with local information and restaurant recommendations. We hope to visit again in the future.

Fantastic Villa, great stay

Our family stayed end of August 2022 for two weeks. Rick and Annie are lovely hosts who really make an effort to make you feel like guests. Fantastic outdoor area and we had many great evenings spent around the pool and playing the games. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, if you want a relaxing stay getting away from it all, we can all highly recommend this Villa.

Perfect setting !

We are home after 9 Nights at this beautiful place with stunning views. Rick and Annie are amazing and so so helpful. When we arrived, there was a little added excitement…due to a fire on the mountain but thankfully was got under control and we were able to enjoy our holiday. Rick was brilliant and kept us informed of how the situation was going. Anything you need or any questions you have Rick and Annie are there to assist. The cabin has everything you want on a holiday, a true home from home feel. Our kids were aged 7-20 and all loved the pool day and night fun! Not to mention the darts, hot tub, outdoor dining and pool table too! The location also is fantastic 30 mins pretty much from everywhere. We had a great day out at the lake recommended by Rick and Annie… absolutely must, so beautiful. Hopefully we will return soon. 😊☀️

A week in the Campo

What a wonderful unique experience. The property is different to anything we have experienced on a holiday. There were so many personal touches around the home it feels like your own. Nice attention to detail, beautiful location, pool amazing and the added advantage of the hot tub. Lots to do in very quiet and secluded environment, it was perfect for our group which ranged from 4 -50. We we able to light the outside fireplace which was amazing in the evenings and managed to meet some of the local wildlife with the gheko's and mantis doing battle most evenings. You will need a car and we used this as a base to travel to Gibraltar and explore the local towns which had everything we needed. Overall a fantastic place with wonderful hosts. Rick's collection of memorobilia etc is fantastic. Thank you both.

Brilliant, peaceful villa with great views

We rented this villa for a group of 9 - 3 couples and 3 kids from 10 to 20 years old. We absolutely loved our stay. As others have mentioned the location of the villa is off the beaten path, so you definitely need a car. But that means you get a wonderful sense of privacy and can do as you please without upsetting the neighbours. We would swim most nights at midnight, for instance, just to cool down. The villa is well equipped with everything you could possibly need, including UK TV and Wi-Fi for those times you need to take a rest from the sun. A couple of highlights were the pool and the outside cooking and dining area, where we ate all our meals. Rick and Annie were also very helpful hosts, always available for advice or assistance if needed. Overall a brilliant holiday and all of us would highly recommend it to anyone.

Great stay - lots of privacy

We had a great time at the villa. The location worked well for us as it was so private, with panoramic views - we didn't have to worry about people complaining about the noise! The villa had lots of communal areas to spread out in, and the pool was lovely! Kids (ages 1-5) had a great time. Lovely holiday and really helpful hosts.

Family holiday July 2019

Just back from a week at this villa with my 2 daughters and their families- 13 in total. A bit apprehensive about it all as it was our first villa holiday but everyone absolutely loved it. It is a bit away from everywhere but we had a small car to drive to the local town of Coín for shopping- it had a Lidl and a large mercadona supermarket. We ventured into benelmadena 2 nights out of our stay using a local minibus company who were brilliant aswell. We had kids ranging from 10 to 21 and they all said it was they’re best holiday ever. Just spending time with the family around the pool during the day and lazing in the hot tub and eating from the bbq in the evening was wonderful. Having no one else around to bother you - being able to jump in the pool when you wanted - even late in the evenings -was brilliant. The WiFi helped aswell when some of them wanted to just go and sit on their phones catching up with friends. Satellite tv was great aswell. There was definitely something to keep everyone happy and rick was on hand should we need him but there were absolutely no problems while we were there. No one wanted to go home and we would love to go back - thanks rick and Annie for allowing us to spend time in your wonderful retreat.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 14 of us in total and plenty of room for everyone. Loved the outdoor space with seating, music, table,pool, darts and hot tub. With a fridge, Bbq and hob outside meant the adults hardlly spent anytime indoors.. but the tv and wifi kept the kids happy if indoors. Rick on hand the whole time should anything go wrong. Can't fault the place. Car absolutely necessary. Hope you revisit in the future

Best villa in costa del sol

2nd time we've stayed, wouldn't stay anywhere else. Lots of room, very clean and owners very helpful and can't do enough to help with your stay . Not forgetting the very adorable dog who just makes the place feel like a home from home. Would recommend anybody to stay.

Amazing villa with epic views

We was a group of 14 with 6 of us adults and 8 kids and had plenty of space, this villa is by far the best villa we've been to, it had everything you could need and more the pictures don't do this place justice. when we arrived we was blown away by the villa and then had the privilege to take in the stunning views, the outside lounge area was a real treat for us as we spent most nights out there with the music playing and with some of us playing darts, using the pool table and the arcade machine and just chilling out in general a real plus point for us. The supermarkets are just 10mins away and there is a lovely little town that has everything you need about 10mins away as well. The bbq was special for me really great and had a lot of use from us as well as the jacuzzi. The owners Rick an Annie were really helpfull, Rick was there straight away if we needed anything or had any problems and he was real gentleman you were absolutely fantastic Rick so thank you so much. And thank both of you for letting us stay at your villa and letting us experience such an amazing, outstanding an impeccable place we will for sure always have lovely memories from there and can't wait to do it all over again, so hope to see you guys again next year thank you!

Fantastic villa with great outside space & views

We spent 10 days at this villa in June with 5 adults and 2 children and had a brilliant time. The accommodation was spacious and immaculately clean with everything you would need for a break away. The outside seating area and BBQ was a great addition and the BBQ was used almost every night. The Jacuzzi, dartboard, pool table and bowls made for great evening entertainment, when we weren't admiring the views with a drink in hand. The pool area and sunbeds were clean and well maintained, with plenty of space for everyone. The location of the villa is great for the airport and local supermarkets and not far from the coast to get to beaches. Everything was close by, but the villa was quiet and relaxing with great views across the mountains. We would highly recommend this villa for families or groups of friends.

Amazing place to stay

Absolutely brilliant. Stayed here a couple of years ago and had a great time. Returned this year to find the improvements made it even better. You won't be disappointed as there is everything you could possible want. I have already booked three weeks for next year. The town is only a couple of minutes drive but you proabably won't want leave the house that often. If you're looking for somewhere to chill and enjoy all the home comforts and more then look no further. You won't find better value. One small negative is the lack of air con in the children's room as it can get quite warm in there, but everything elso makes up for this.

Superschönes Ferienhaus mit viel Luxsus

Wir haben im Ferienhaus 2 tolle Wochen verbracht welche viel zu schnell vorrüber waren. Das Haus ist toll eingericht, der Garten mit Pool ein Traum. Wir hatten noch nie ein Ferienhaus mit so vielen Liegemöglichkeiten (Hängematte,Liegestühle,tolles Bett auf der Terrasse). Wir waren über die ganze Einrichtung und die Deko total begeister. Alles ist super, sauber und die Lage ist mehr als perfekt. Es ist abgelegen aber man ist in 5 Minuten im nächsten Ort mit vielen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten,Restaurants. Die Autobahn ist 15 Minuten entfernt. Wir hatten super Wetter, da es nicht so weit in den Berg liegt. Nick und Annie sind super nett. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! We have spent 2 great wees in the House that went away way too fast. The house is great, the garden with a pool a dream. We never had a house with that many reclining options (hammock, beach chairs, great bed on the terrace). We were totally impressed by the decoration everything is great and clean and the location is more than perfect. It is secluded but it is only 5 minutes away from the next town with many shops, restaurants and interstate. It is about 15 minutes of driving to the next motorway. We had great weather as it is not so far into the mountain. Nick and Annie are really nice. We are defenitely coming back!

Best Holiday Ever

A piece of paradise in a stunning location. The accommodation is superb as it easily coped with 2 family's. Lovely views at all times during the day and the stars at night with the soundtrack of the wildlife in the background. Plenty to do for kids with Jacuzzi, Pool, Pool table and Arcade Game. Play your favorite tunes as load as you like as no neighbours to annoy (Rick i loved the original eighties cds lol). Everything homely is there for you even your own pet dog (oscar you are a star) who will look after you during your stay. Would love to go back one day which usually says it all. CHILL OUT WEEK IN MOUNTAIN RETREAT

My wife, daughter and I are just back from a weeks golf break in Alhaurin el Grande and had the pleasure of staying at Annie and Rick's hillside retreat. We golfed every day and were glad to get back to the Villa for a swim then the hot tub, followed by the barbecue and a game of pool. Every thing you needed for a Family chill out experience was on tap at this fantastic accomodation. We even fell for Oscar the little terrier dog who was our companion for the week. We have been around the Costas over the past ten years in various apartments and villas and this house is right up there with the best. A first class service delivering a first class experience of the 'life of leisure' in the Campo!!! The McBride Family, Scotland.

Second time in this wonderful place

So here I am again back in the chilly blighty and pining for the weather we just experienced at Sodem Hall! We had another great 2 week stay here and Annie & Rick are to be commended with yet another dose of great hospitality and help. It was my wifes birthday on our first Sunday and Annie had arranged for a wonderful birthday cake as a surprise for my wife. We also celebrated our wedding aniversary the day after with a sumptuous meal at La Finca which is a horse sanctuary as well as top class resturant... I recommend any of the sea food dishes (prawns piri piri was top notch). We visited the Alhambra in Granada which is well worth the 90 minute drive and also Peuto Banus to see how the other half live... a boat for sale for 1.2 miilion euro's took our kids fancy!!! All the amenities at the house are first class and the air con is a god send during the days when the temperature reaches 42 degrees at midday. The pool, pool table and jucuzzi are great additions to a wonderful view across the valley that you never get tired of at any time of the day or night. Top class holiday with everything you need right on your door step. THANKS Rick & Annie for another relaxing and rejuvinating time, 2 weeks is spot on to wind down and revigor.

Séjour parfait

Un accueil parfait de Richard et Annie Une réactivité parfaite de Richard si question ou problème. Une maison situé à moins de 10 minutes des commerces (Carrefour à Coin) et à 40 minutes de Marbella et Malaga. Une maison très bien équipé dans un lieu reculé sans vis à vis et avec une vue exceptionnelle pour les sunrise et sunset. La dépendance avec une chambre double + salle de bain et toilette et la chambre avec tous les lits pour les enfants avec salle de bain et toilette. Le seul point que nous pouvons soumettre à Richard et Annie est de mieux préciser sur l'annonce le fait que le système de climatisation est manquante dans une des chambres de la maison principale et qu'il faut ajouter 1€ pour 1h30 de fonctionnement. Ce principe ne me dérange pas si il est expliqué car lors des années précédentes des locataires ont du certainement laissé les climatisations tourné en permanence ce qui n'est pas nécessaire, pas économique et pas écologique. Il manquerait peut être au niveau de la fenêtre de la chambre de la dépendance (celle qui a une fenêtre tourné vers l'Est) un volet ou un système de planche en bois qui évite que le soleil du matin tape et chauffe la pièce. Un grand merci pour votre accueil, vos conseils, votre aide, votre accueil. Pour les futurs locataires ces petites remarques ne doivent pas freiné votre demande dans ce lieu idyllique. Why they chose this property

Property consists of outdoor 8 x 4 pool which was refurbished at the beginning of 2018 and Indoor jacuzzi and pool table and darts board and exercise machine. Gas Barbecue and outdoor kitchen as well as outdoor dining and seating area for relaxation. There is also a double bed with privacy curtains on the unique decking overlooking the mountain towards Mijas.
