About this property

Warren's Point in Little Compton - Blissful views, Victorian house

We rent the North End of this large and lovely house. You'll have a comfortable and private space that's perfect for a couple or small family. You'll love the ocean vistas, the large yard for playing games, the covered porch for reading and chatting. There are three bedrooms (double bed, twin beds, single bed) 1.5 baths, outdoor shower, combined living/dining room, a small kitchen, a large covered porch, a hammock under a shady tree, and a large yard with ocean views. The yard is well-suited for whiffle ball or other outdoor games.
The house is located on a private point, within easy walking distance to either the swimming beach (Warren's Point Beach Club) or the 'rocky beach.' The beach is private, so if you want access, you will need to become a temporary member ($450/week).
For bicyclists and runners, this is a delightful location because you can enjoy biking or running on shaded, scenic country roads. At night, you'll fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. In the morning, you'll wake up to the sun rising over the ocean.
You won't regret taking an off-season vacation; September and October are very nice, as are May and June (though the ocean is cooler for swimming then). The nice part about renting in before June 15th and after Labor Day is free access to the swimming beach; it is a private beach club during the summer and incurs an additional membership fee.

Note: The State of RI assesses a rental tax that gets added to your fee. The cleaning fee is an additional $80 (paid in cash at the time of departure),

A beautiful location, with the sound of the rolling sea.

A little less privacy than expected, as the owner lives in the other half of the house, but the beauty of the location compensates.

Perfect Place

This is a historic home in the prime location of Little Compton. The owner lives in the other half of the home (and is lovely and responsive) The house is filled with details and a sense of history of when the country was settled. The breeze and light are just perfect. We used the outdoor shower so the house really has two bathrooms. Small kitchen but there is a bbq...Loved it

Our Girls Enchanted Weekend

I, along with my daughter and two daughters-in-law stayed in this lovely home for our girls get a way! This house is charming and the grounds beautiful. There are water views from every window. My favorite place was the side porch. The neighborhood was lined with stone walls and trees! Think of “Anne of Green Gables” and you are there! Nancy , the owner, and her daughter Mary ,were so nice and close by if we needed anything! A quiet enchanted weekend. We all had a wonderful time!!

Little Compton rendezvous

Little Compton was a great in between place to meet up with family. On a gorgeous weekend we thoroughly enjoyed the stunning setting, with ocean views all the time, beach walks, and spring blooms. We took advantage of the yard, porch, house, gas fireplace. Pleased that we were able to bring our dog. It all worked for us.

Incredible views and beautiful walk to the beach!

This was a very special weekend with family, and Nancy made us feel right at home in her beautiful rental. She was close by and very helpful as we explored this amazing location. We spent the entire weekend on the large, wrap-around porch enjoying breakfast, lunch, and a wonderful cookout. Sunrise and sunset views are spectacular at this quiet, comfortable and fantastic rental! Walking to the beach was easy and we especially enjoyed being here off season. Will look forward to another off season visit to Little Compton!

Incredible views. Rest and relaxation.

The house sits on a peninsula so there's water on three sides. Wake up to the sunrise from your bedroom window, and see the sunset from the dining table. The views are spectacular--the meadows and stone walls leading to the ocean remind me of Ireland and England (though the sun shines more frequently here). The house is comfortable but expect to spend most of your time on the porch. Nancy is a lovely host.

Nice place to stay!

If you are looking for a peaceful vacation, this is the place to be. Just sit on the porch and read—or just stare at the ocean. Blissful, peaceful, beautiful location.

Fabulous spot

What a beautiful location. The pictures on VRBO do not do justice to the surrounding area. There are water views from most parts of the house, and the beach (two or three hundred yards away) is spectacular. The house itself is lovely with comfortable beds and ample space to lounge or play games in the living room. The owner was extremely nice. Bathrooms are a bit dated, but no problems with them. This house was just what we needed for a family of five. The weather the second week in October was a little cool in the mornings, but heat in the living room was all we needed to keep warm and comfortable.

Exceptional Oceanside Property in Little Compton, RI - the "North End"

Our family of four has rented this property year after year; no summer is complete without a visit. It's the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy summer in a quiet and gorgeous paradise, Little Compton. This "North End" property sits on Warren's Point, an exclusive spit of land surrounded by the ocean on three sides. These amazing views can be enjoyed from the stately home's porch. The interior is more than comfortable however we live on the porch when we're there and enjoy dinner on the porch each evening as the sun sets in the west. It's simply lovely. The home features historic details that recall another time. Our boys enjoy playing whiffle ball, croquet or volleyball on the spacious lawn. Even though there is wifi, this time away is always a good opportunity for them to unplug from the world and enjoy time together as a family. Warren's Point Beach Club is a leisurely walk from the North End and is worth the temporary membership fee for access to its gorgeous and uncrowded beach. Ask the owner about the diving rocks that the lifeguards open when the surf allows. It's a thrill! If you need a break from the sun and fun at the beach, there are several enjoyable sites close by including Carolyn's Sakonnet Vineyards and shopping at Tiverton Four Corners. Or you could take a drive to explore Bristol with its museums, shops and restaurants, or enjoy a day in Newport (45 min from the North End). Once you come to Little Compton, you'll be planning your next trip. Don't miss out on visiting this historic gem --- and only tell your closest friends! We don't want the secret to get out!

Little Compton Gem 2 blocks from the Ocean!

We had a wonderful stay in Little Compton. This is a great home in a prime location. There are great restaurants, vineyards and incredible ocean views in Little Compton and the surrounding towns. We came to visit friends and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners are wonderful to work with and the Wifi is great too. Very highly recommended! Thank you!

Beautiful Beach House in Little Compton

A group of friends and I had a wonderful stay here over Memorial Day weekend. The house and property are beautiful and kept in wonderful condition. We loved relaxing on the wrap-around porch with it's beautiful ocean views, and sitting by the cozy fireplace in the evenings. Gorgeous Warren's Point Beach is a very short walk down the road and there is a lot of outdoor space which we took full advantage of playing lawn games and barbecuing. It was a fantastic, relaxing, wonderful stay all around.

This house has been in the family for years. It's a classic RI summer house. We rent the North End; I grew up in the South End and we live there most of the time. The North End has it's own entrance, plenty of privacy, and is enjoyed by all who choose to rent it. Unused rooms in the middle of the house buffer the North and South ends, so noise and privacy are not an issue.

Why they chose this property

The house has been passed down through the generations. tilt in 1871, you will want to enjoy it's history, charm, and peaceful pleasures. The location is ideal ... ocean views, easy walk to the beach, big yard, wonderful porch. Our friends have referred to this as a "happy home", saying they love seeing the families on the porch relaxing, reading, enjoying meals, chatting, playing games ... renewing themselves. When you get our of your car, you'll take a deep breath of ocean air and your stress will then dissipate. Ahhhhhh.... peaceful!

What makes this property unique

What you'll love about this house is the porch and it's panoramic views. The porch is shaded, cool and comfortable, offers a peaceful ocean vista, and it so relaxing. Most renters enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinners on the porch, to say nothing of reading books and chatting with friends on the porch! You'll also love the yard -- perfect for whiffle ball, frisbees, and croquet. The inside is clean and comfortable, complete with jigsaw puzzles and games for a rainy day.
