Nice area, friendly neighbors, beautiful views. Perfect size for 2 adults and loved having our dog with us. Bathroom needs a new shower head and cabinet. Easy drive into town.
House was located in a beautiful and quiet area we’ve come to love, the private dock and water access in a heat wave was perfect. A charming house full will be coming back
The day after we arrived was super hot. The house does not have A/C system. The owner Tim bought a window A/C for us and installed it. Really like the views and the owner’s help. We appreciated all he did to us. Will recommend this house to anyone who wants to spend a great time at Maine!!
The cottage was charming with a wonderful lake view. It was clean and well furnished. The dock was great for morning coffee and happy hour. The location was convenient to Camden and other mid-coast locations. Tim was very responsive.
The neat cottage could accommodate more than two… but probably not so much for four adults. The cottage had all that we needed … clean and well equipped kitchen… good Internet and lakeside near Camden.
We felt so comfortable in this sweet cottage! The weather was still a bit brisk for swimming, but the water was crystal clear. The sunsets! We spent every night down at the dock enjoying natures display of color. Was the perfect choice, and location, for us to unwind!
The perfect combination of lake, mountains and sea coast.
The cottage is quiet and comfortable with a nice layout for its size. The location is perfect for both activities and relaxation. With swimming and kayaking on the lake, hiking and mountain biking at Camden Hills and Ragged Mountain and visiting the nearby sea coast along Penobscot Bay, our days were filled with outdoor activities. And at the end of each day we enjoyed a wonderful sunset while relaxing on the dock chairs.
This well-appointed lake house was ideal for all ages....from grandparent to grandchild. Swimming, kayaking and fishing from the dock was perfect. Quiet, serene neighborhood was great for pup walking. With only a few minutes drive to downtown we had it all! Bonus was the prompt response from owner when we had a question.
Thank you. Hope to return.
Dealing with Tim was great: he was quick to respond to all our questions and he even arranged for us to borrow a canoe while we were at the cabin. The cabin itself was fine, perfect for the my husband and I. The setting is lovely: if a little closer to neighbors than we'd expected. But having the dock on the lake is a treat. Its proximity to Camden and Belfast and Rockport and Camden Hills and Lincolnville make it an ideal place as a homebase for day trips and good meals out. My only caution to prospective renters is that the area has a pretty severe brown tailed moth caterpillar infestation which can cause severe rashes at this time of year--as I found out very personally. Take precautions.
My family and I spent a relaxing week at Tim's cabin. It was a perfect size for our family of four and has a well provisioned kitchen. The bunk beds were switched out for a trundle bed so there wasn't a lot of floor space in the kids room, but the our 13 and 14 year old said they were comfortable. The cabin is only 10 minutes to Camden and about 30 minutes to Belfast and Rockland. Would highly recommend hiking the Maidencross trail which is walking distance from the cabin. Hopefully we'll be able to make it back someday when the weather is warmer!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay immensely! This cabin was very comfortable and was equipped with everything that was needed! The beauty of the lake was so peaceful!!! Tim was great! He was easy to get a hold of when we had questions! We look forward to our next stay at the cabin!
This rental was perfect. It was extremely clean, and just a perfect cozy spot to spend a week in January. Being right on the lake, the view was perfect. Brought my dog and we enjoyed some great walks and hikes in the area as well -- Maidencliff trail and Camden Hills State Park are very close. Camden center was a 5 min drive, and is a charming little town that has everything you could need.
This was a restorative winter getaway, and I would love to rent this house again-- any time of year!
Wow! What else to say. I arrived at this property later at night a day after it had snowed siginificantly. Tim was awesome at helping me get in the door and settled after a long day on the road. Immediately, I was impressed. The cottage was a perfect size for me, extremely comfortable, well maintained and had everything I needed for a great stay! My family from up the road came to visit briefly and loved it also (especially for the holidays). Not forgetting one of the best parts of being in the area - the outdoors! How amazing the space outside, right on the lake and beyond, was. Shockingly beautiful. Quiet and private. And the neighbors are extremely friendly - I actually miss seeing them. I hated leaving. When you stay here, you definitely don't want to leave. I highly suggest renting this cottage any season you can. I certainly hope to be back! Thanks again to the owners. Loved it!
We stayed for 1 month, and had a wonderful time. The house was great and the access to the lake was awesome. Timothy was super responsive and helped with anything that came up. Additionally, Camden had a lot to offer, as did the neighboring towns. We would definitely come back!
Loved this cottage in a great neighborhood. Easy to get to trails and to town. While it was a bit cold for swimming, I imagine the lake is terrific for both swimming and boating in season. The cottage had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable too.
We had a great time staying at the cottage and would definitely stay again. We loved spending time on the dock swimming, eating dinner, star gazing and reading.
The cottage was convenient to going into town, local hiking trails, and fun in general!
The cottage was clean and well equipped with everything we needed.
