The beautiful Villa is in one of the popular suburb in the city and is called Mosfellsbær.
It is just 15min from the city and 45min from the Keflavík airport.
It has view over small ocean bay with mountain and city view.
The Villa is in the hottest area in Mosfellsbæ in closed family street and only large houses build around.
Has 2 privat parking in front of the Villa and more just few steps from the house on the street.

In the garden is hot tub for 10-12 person and nice stone terrace.
The Villa is large almost 400sq feet and has 5 bedrooms with 3 WC,all with shower but the main WC has both shower and tub.

Luxury and comfort in a perfect location!

Our 2 families--2 couples and 5 kids ages 7-11 stayed for 3 nights at this wonderful house. Herdis met us upon arrival and walked us through the house explaining everything. I imagine it's hard to find another house with as much space and as well-stocked, this home is live-in ready from hundreds of towels, double washers and dryers, to every amenity. The hardest part about staying here is that it is so nice you don't want to leave...but when you do leave it's 20 minutes from Reykjavik city, and less than 30 minutes from the entrance to Thingvellir National Park. Plenty of convenience shopping within 10 minutes as well as some many places that will deliver to the home. It's the perfect place to launch Thingvellir & Reykjavik adventures from and even better to come home to at the end of the day for relaxation and a good nights sleep. Not a complaint from any of the 5 kids (who love to complain) about the house! Thanks Herdis!

Gorgeous view, incredible house

We loved the views and the “posh” feel of the place. There were 8 of us: 2 couples and 4 singles, all over 50 years old. The beds were incredibly comfy, the kitchen was completely tricked out, there were pantry staples in the kitchen as well as a container of milk and almond milk, butter etc… It’s a little bit farther from Reykjavík than would have been convenient, but frankly, if it had been in town, it wouldn’t have that incredible view from the wall of glass.

Our family adventure in iceland

Very well equipped home. Plenty of kitchen extras and upgrades. Would have liked some closet space in bedrooms. Only closet was in master. Beds were super comfortable, and we are very picky on beds. Hot tub was wonderful—fresh water and no chemicals. Water out of faucet very yummy—don’t buy water! Beautiful views out of the windows. Very safe area!!! All of Iceland very safe!! Great trip!!!!

Great place to stay!

I have stayed at a lot of VRBO rentals over the last 8 years and have never had a better experience. The host communicated with us every step of the way and even welcomed us when we arrived! She showed us around and explained a lot of things that was very helpful. When my children walked across the street to see her horses, the host’s daughter greater them and was so friendly. They really appreciated their interaction with her. The house is beautiful. What a view! If I ever go back to Iceland I will not stay anywhere else. Thank you!

The Perfect Home Base

Amazing home! Herdis was a terrific host and checked in to make sure all was satisfactory. This was the perfect home base from which to explore Reykjavik and the sights of Iceland! We spent New Year's Eve watching the fireworks from the hot tub. I have never seen anything like a New Year's Eve party in Iceland! For an hour and a half, fireworks were exploding around every corner of the house and all across Reykjavik for which we had a front row seat! The entire stay was perfect!

Great location, plenty of living space, cozy beds

Traveled with my 10 family members. The views were beautiful. The horses were a treat. The jacuzzi and fire pits were so nice to come home to after long days of exploring. We brought wood at the grocery store. Great location not far from all we wanted to do and explore. Rooms are smaller but beds were very comfy and lots of living space. Clean & plenty of towels & blankets. Herdis was helpful upon arrival she met us for a tour & explanation of everything. She texted to stay connected and was very responsive once there.

Beautiful Villa

We had the best stay at this beautiful house. It had plenty of room for our family of 10 and the view of the Icelandic horses was so amazing. Herdis was so helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this to any family coming to Iceland. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful house with a beautiful view

This is a gorgeous home in a great location. The house is very well equipped and exceedingly comfortable. Our family had plenty of space to spend time together, but also plenty of space for quiet, private time. The hot tub was large and easy to use. And the view of the water and many Icelandic horses from the front window was incredibly relaxing. The host was very attentive and responsive. The location is a real plus. Being just outside the city, all of the major natural attractions were easier to get to than if one would be if one were in the city. But the city is close enough that it was easy to access as well. We hope that we will return soon.

Living in a post card

House was fabulous. Everything one would need. The windows across the back and sides made you feel like you were in the picture. The horses and mountain outside the windows were awesome. We used hot tub whenever someone wanted to soak. Beds were so comfortable. Black out shades did their job. Owner was available and very helpful. Local town had everything you would need. We loved staying in this beautiful home.

Family adventure

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous home. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us. The views of the horses in their pastures with the water beyond and mountains to the side are so peaceful. The location of the home is very convenient to all activities and you’ll look forward to coming back “home” to relax and enjoy the amazing hot tub. Highly recommend! Bachelorette Perfection

We stayed at this beautiful home for about 4-5 days to celebrate my bachelorette with 11 girls. We had plenty of room, even to spare. The house was amazing, super beautiful in the winter with tons of great activities. The host had great communication with us. The house was stocked with all the spices, condiments, olive oil, equipment needed for home meals so we didn't have to buy all that many groceries which was great. Our only hiccup was that the hot tub gets scorching hot. It has to sit for about an hour after you fill it up, because we made the mistake of trying to go in right away and it really burned us. Made for a good laugh though! Will definitely try to come back in the future :)

Modern, Spacious and Private View Stunner!

This very spacious and off the beaten path, modern home is a must. From it's stunning views, thermo hot tub, loaded kitchen and comfy beds to the heated floors and amazing showers, you will be in heaven. We were actually able to see the Aurora Borealis from the hot tub 3 nights in a row! It's in a quiet, easily accessible area, too. There's a couple grocery stores right up the street and a bakery as well. Herdis was kind and quick to respond to any requests we had and made a few recommendations for us on things to do. I don't have anything more to say, other than it was perfect for our group of 7.

Icelandic Adventure

Home was set up well with lots of amenities. Plenty of room and very close to stores and bakeries. Large glass windows overlooking the meadow, ocean and beautiful horses. We was a group of 10 on a 3 generation family vacation. We had a great time.

Great spot to see Iceland

Family of 11 from 14 to 78 found this home to be the perfect home to use as a base to see Iceland. The property is very clean, spacious, and has everything you will need. The host is very responsive to any questions and works very near the property so is always quickly available if needed. The best way to communicate with the host is via text and she will respond quickly. She will be at the home to let you in, show you around and explain how everything ( GREAT appliances ) works. Having a view of her horses only added to the experience. Would definately stay here again.

Great stay in Iceland!

Our group of 7 adults had a great 6-day stay here. House was beautiful, clean and very well appointed with everything we needed. Herdis was a wonderful host, very helpful and available to answer any questions as needed. Location was convenient for day trips to visit National parks and other Iceland attractions. Especially enjoyed our daily view of the Icelandic horses grazing in the field across the road! Highly recommend!

Great home base

We were able to see the Northern lights our first night from the driveway! The property is beautiful and worked well for our group allowing us to go out on separate adventures during the day and gather for dinner at the large table at night. Our host was delightful and very attentive via text to ensure our stay was comfortable. We will be back!

Highly recommend!

We brought a group of 11 for a small wedding, which the host allowed us to do right at the villa, and it was a beautiful backdrop to our special day. The host was very responsive and helpful, as it was our first trip to Iceland and we had lots of questions. We will definitely be back!
