House with Great Porch & a View

August visit was great, house met our needs and our family had a super time in Newport. House is on calm roads but around the corner from restaurants and prime beach so super convenient. There are more amenities than listed (there were plenty of beach chairs and kitchen is better stocked than described..so ask before you assume. ) Do note there are 2 full bathrooms plus an outdoor shower. Enjoy!

absolutely wonderful!!!

Listing was accurate and such a convenient location. We had the best time being with all of our family and grandchildren! Lots of baseball games in the convenient fenced yard and morning walks to the beach were a breeze. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

Wedding Week

This property was excellent for the week. My daughter got married at the end of the week and there was plenty of room for bridesmaid to get ready and snap some photos. Pretty yard and the first floor of the house was nice for some indoor pictures. My family and I enjoyed our time at this property and all its amenities. Well equipped, comfortable, loved the wrapped around porch and location was awesome.

Perfect Newport House

This property is conveniently located and the front yard and the wrap around porch were perfect for our family. The kitchen was very well equipped and provided plenty of counter space for extra seating when we needed it. We would definitely choose this property again.

Niece’s Wedding

Marc had so many homey touches from towels set out on each bed to a binder filled with so much helpful information to Christmas themed soap in each bathroom! The house was clean and spacious and a perfect location for my family! We felt so welcome in this home and can’t say enough positive things about it!

Great location and space

Great location and house space for a weekend trip to Newport. All guests had their own rooms and house was clean and spacious. We loved relaxing in the living room and outside on the wraparound deck.

Best bachelorette weekend!

This home is perfect for large groups - and feels like it is taken care like a home. There was plenty of space for myself and 9 others to spread out. The first floor is open concept, which was great for socializing. The porch and back deck were also set up for enjoyable late night evenings by the fire. We had zero issues this entire stay, and Mark was very responsive with the couple questions I did ask him. The neighborhood is quiet in the best way, but also close to everything. We had the best time, and would definitely consider staying again. Thank you Mark!

Fabulous in every way

We were seeking a vacation where our family can all be together and give the teens and friends the freedom to be on their own, and have a blast. The house and location was perfect for this! It was equipped with yard games, fire pits, outdoor shower, lots of comfortable outdoor and indoor space. We were able to cook large dinners at home, when we did not visit the amazing restaurants and bars that Newport has to offer, pack beach lunches and make breakfasts. The host communicated well, and was available for anything at all , however we needed nothing. Loved our time spent here!

A great stay!

We had a great time. As other posts have stated, the pictures don’t do it justice. This spot is a true hidden gem. The wrap around porch has views of the ocean and so much seating. The yard is big and lush. The rooms are all comfy and there is central air! Could not ask for a better spot.

Another Wonderful Week

this past week my family stayed in 24 Briarwood and just like last year it was great. the owner has the house perfectly setup up and all you have to do is come and enjoy. i rate this VRBO listing 5 Stars for the second year in a row. i should probably not rate it so high since now everyone will want to rent it. haha

Top notch location!

The house and location exceeded all expectations for our group. There was plenty of common and sleeping space, and we were able to enjoy the nearby amenities in Middletown and Newport. Marc was very accommodating and responsive throughout the stay, which was greatly appreciated. This was as good as it gets for greater Newport around Fourth of July!

Great Place To Stay!

The online listing does not do this house justice! The bedrooms were great, plenty of bathrooms and showers (including an outdoor one), great yard and deck and the kitchen/living/dining areas where fantastic. We had so much fun, there were tons of great places you could walk to (restaurants, breweries, ice cream, the beach, the cliff walk) and it was a super short drive to downtown. Marc was super-responsive to all of my questions and was a wonderful host. Would definitely rent this house again!

Great Vacation

I am a Portsmouth RI native living out of state, and we love the Newport area. This year we were lucky to book this property. The house was great location fantastic, and the vacation was a huge success. With 8 adults and four children, lots of moving parts and the house was able to make everyone happy. The garage is loaded with games, chairs and a huge refrigerator which we took full advantage of. We are planning 2023 and hope to come back.

Great Location, House Needs Some Work

Overall, we had a nice trip. The house is in a great location- Beach and lots of food options within walking distance. It has a nice big fenced in yard and fire pit on the deck. There are lots of outdoor kids toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. in the garage. The first floor is nice with a stocked updated kitchen with everything you need. However, there are some things that need attention in this house such as a leaky shower head that doesn’t stay on the holder, a broken faucet handle and broken toilet paper holder all in the same bathroom. The dryer lint catcher is mangled and is a fire waiting to happen. The upstairs is very shabby- bad paint job, marks on the walls and door jams, wall anchors exposed in every room with no decor hung and uneven floors. We also noticed small ants all over the house around the windows and doors, especially upstairs. For close to $900 a night, we would have expected something a little more updated and well kept.

Terrific Family Reunion

The house was lovely with ample rooms. We also enjoyed the porches and made use of the lawn for lacrosse. The house was conveniently situated to the many beaches, restaurants and other activities. All in all we had a super time.

Perfect location in MIddletown right at Newport's First Beach

We know Newport and MIddletown very well from over 30 years of summertime fun here. So when I saw that this house was a few minutes' walk to First Beach, I knew it would be perfect for my family - husband, three adult daughters with their spouses and toddlers and baby. The house did not disappoint - it is spacious, comfortable and has everything a large group needs. It actually has two full bathrooms plus a half bath - on the main floor right next to the main bedroom is a great bathroom with modern two-shower head shower; upstairs is a huge double vanity bathroom with a tub/shower plus another large half bath (vanity, toilet). Outside on the side of the house is an outside shower. The kitchen is large with all the equipment you need and in the garage are plenty of huge pasta and clam bake pots. The garage turned out to be a treasure trove of beach toys, beach wagons, umbrellas, lawn games. An extra fridge is in the garage, too, for any overflow. The porch wraps around a huge enclosed property that was 100% safe for our 3 and 4 year old active toddlers. Marc is very responsive to any question or issue and easily reachable via text message. We had a great time. One of our daughters just had a baby acouple of weeks before , so they could not come. But I think we would have had enough sleeping space and plenty of overall room if they had come. Upstairs, there are 4 bedrooms an enclosed porch with great view of the ocean AND a living room! We did not expect the upstairs living room. And almost every room has a digital tv. We will definitely keep Marc's house on our list. It is a perfect place for a week or more in Newport/Middletown.

Perfect beach house

We truly enjoyed our stay here. It is a very large and beautiful house with an expanded wrap around porch. It is a gorgeous property in a great neighborhood and is only a 5 minute walk to the beach, as well as some restaurants and stores.

Great vacation rental!

Stayed here with my mom, sisters, all the husbands and three kids — the set up is great for families. Plenty of beds and space for travel cribs/pack ‘n plays, cannot emphasize enough how family friendly the house is — spent a ton of time on the front porch and by the fire pit too. Easy walk to the beach, Flo’s for delicious seafood and Clementine’s for ice cream. Also so nice to be just over the bridge from Newport, easy to get there but staying a town removed was ideal for us. Marc was very helpful and responsive. We would love to rent here again!

Rented this property 4 times before it was up for sale. Bought it in 2016. Great for Family vacations. Have had a lot of great times here and hope everyone else renting will have the same experience! Besides renting the house in the summers we will spend some time here as well. Love the area! Close to everything you need. (Beach, Restaurants, Bars, Downtown Newport)

We loved the house cause of the price per week, size of the house, location and yard. Its very close to the beach and a safe walk for kids! The yard is fenced in for safe play for kids as well. Driveway has a basketball hoop for kids and adults to enjoy. Wrap around deck for BBQ's and relaxing.
