"Sandbox" er et dejligt sommerhus med 3 soveværelser kun 187 skridt væk fra den smukke Popham Beach, der tilbyder tidevandsbassiner, øer, fyrtårne, over tre miles af sandstrand og to gamle stenfort for dig at udforske.

Sommerhuset har plads til seks gæster med sovepladser bestående af to traditionelle soveværelser (en queensize-seng i den ene og to tvillinger i den anden) og en fuld størrelse seng beliggende i vores fantastiske omkransning af sunroom.

"Sandkassen" er beliggende i det historiske maleriske samfund Popham Village. Du vil nyde gåture, fiskeri, svømning, vandreture og indsamling af skaldyr langs stranden. Hvis du er sulten, kan du kun gå 5 minutter ned til Spinneys resturant for at nyde en morgenmad ved havet, frokost, middag ELLER is.

Sommerhuset har internet, spil, gåder, en propangrill, et DVD-bibliotek og en gaspejs til de tåge kystnætter, når du bare ønsker at bo i og slappe af. Den store solrum er designet til både at være et fælles rum, hvor venner og familie kan slappe af og lytte til lyden af havbrændingen, der omgiver huset, ud over at være et utroligt soveværelse.

Great Stay

We had another wonderful stay at Popham. The accommodations were wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time walking the beach and meeting some nice people. Ben and Lynn are awesome hosts!

Great family vacation

The whole family enjoyed our stay. The weather was good and we went to the beach every day and we walked to Spinney's for dinner one night. The property was as advertised - clean, comfortable, and a short walk to the beach. Thanks so much!

very chill and close to the beach!

We loved our days at Popham Beach. The house was the perfect size for our family, our dog was happy, and the beach access was phenomenal. The only dissapointment was that we couldn't enjoy the outdoor dining area or the deck because it was super buggy -- but that's how it goes some times! We loved the rental and hope to be back.

Glorious sunny days, fewer insects, cool nights in late summer. Nice dipping in the ocean. Walks on the beach. Just a very relaxed time. Nice neighbors!

A quintessential cottage in one of my favorite places!

What a wonderful property! Beautifully maintained, well equipped, easy walk to beach but also provided lots of privacy. Hosts were terrific to work with! Can not wait to go back!

Great stay!

This house was perfect for families! It was so convenient to have the property stocked with everything from kitchen essentials, games, linens, and outside/beach gear. Even though we had planned ahead an brought a lot of things we thought we would need (for beach/outside) it was nice to have the back up of more to pick from!

2nd summer

We have had two great stays! 2023 and 2024. The hosts are friendly, quick to respond to questions or concerns. Coming with children it is so convenient to have the house “stocked” with beach and normal home essentials. We packed less the second year! We love that it is pet friendly so our dogs are able to vacation with us.

Fabulous location, very well appointed Cottage.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. The location could not have been better. The large screened-in porch was a fantastic place to relax and read. We had wonderful long walks on beautiful Popham beach daily. What a perfect place to get away from it all.

Loved this cottage!

Beautiful, clean, lovely linens, large flat grassy yard, so many windows and bright cheery inside. We had 6 adults and 1 baby and were very comfortable. Thank you for a lovely stay! Want to return next year🙂

We have been enjoying this house for years. Lynn and Ben are welcoming hosts. Road in had a lot of potholes and due to rain they were full of water. A mess....not Lynn or Ben's fault.

Wonderful time at Popham Beach

We enjoyed every minute of our stay! Lynn's sweet cottage is charming and inviting. There is plenty of space and comfortable corner that allowed us to enjoy quiet time, meals outdoors, breakfast on the porch, and lots of time to relax. The location made it easy to spend the day at our favorite beach. Lynn was gracious and helpful -- she went above and beyond to make our stay a true vacation.

Sandbox stay

Had a lovely time. The Sandbox is homey and welcoming and comfortable. Some time was spent with family and some time as a solo retreat. The yard space is beautiful and particularly nice for pets and privacy.

Sandbox Love!

We found the Sandbox a few years ago and now have made it our annual summer vacation location. Lynn and Ben love their property and they also love sharing it with others. We are grateful. The cottage, the yard, the location to the ocean--- we love it all!

Lovely early summer stay

The wonderful wide, sandy beach abutting the State Park is just heaven. Pups loved stick play in the water. Early summer is rainy and sunny both and a bit cool. Definitely jacket weather and good sleeping weather. The wild beach roses were in full bloom and there were no crowds! All in all a lovely vacation.

Family Tradition

We have stayed at Lynn and Ben's Sandbox annually for four years. The cozy cottage has a wonderful yard for playing games and hanging out. The small neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The kids love to ride their bikes in the neighborhood and as a family we ride to fort, Library, and Spinney's for ice cream. We enjoy the board games and cards . We spend most of our time at the beach which is truly a short walk down the path. We enjoyed fishing, surfing, and boogy boarding. When tide goes out there are fun pool like areas that the kids love to play in. We love vacationing here and look forward to our home away from home!

Sandbox Vacation

We had such a fun and relaxing week at this wonderful property! The cottage was so clean and comfortable and offered all of the conveniences of home by being so well stocked with dishes, lawn chairs, inside and outside games and a comfy hammock! Lynn has clearly thought of everything her guests might want or need.We are already missing the beautiful porch along with the beach!

I am a Maniac. Born in Portland, and summered in Bar Harbor where both my Parents were born. I have lived in the Vermont, San Francisco and the Florida Keys but, Maine is where I now call home. I love the smell of the salt air, the endless adventures to the small seaside villages and the abundance of festivals, craft fairs and outdoor activities.

Popham Beach is such a magical place on the Midcoast of Maine. The beach has soft clean sand with PLENTY of room to spread out your blanket and have a quiet day relaxing and watching the abundant wildlife. The history of Popham is fascinating from colonial settlements to ship building. And, the proximity to Freeport, Portland, Boothbay makes day tripping a breeze!

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

This cottage is nestled on a one acre lot only 1-2 minute walk to the beach. It is wonderful to have the amenity of strolling, swimming and fishing however, getting away at the end of the day and sitting on the porch listening to surf at a private cottage is the best of both worlds.
