The home was a great landing pad for visiting friends and family nearby. With a few updates it could be even better. It's an old home so the floors squeak upstairs , so was a bit noisy to navigate while others are sleeping. A couple of the bedroom doors don't shut fully, so if those got fixed would be better. Adding a small shelf or storage in the upstairs bathroom to put your things down when getting ready would also help.Overall though, a great experience, easy to check in and out. They were responsive when any issues came up. .
Delayed home renovations meant I couldn’t host my out of town family for the holidays, but finding this house literally saved the vacation for everyone. The house was warm and cosy with everything we needed to celebrate together. There is great storage in each bedroom & plenty of space so we never felt crammed in together. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of basics and plenty of cooking utensils and pans so it was actually pleasant to cook in, even when cooking large holiday meals! The only thing probably missing for the number of people was a dishwasher for longer term stays. The house is likely nearly 100 years old (as are most of the homes in the area), so if you expect even floors this might not be the place for you, but if you love character, this house has been well updated and freshly painted which makes for a clean and comfortable stay and it feels instantly like a home. It’s in a great location, close walking distance to the cinema & diner & a bunch of great restaurants, bars & coffee shops all nearby too. Being right next to the 490 gives you access to most parts of Rochester in 20 mins or less. This is a new rental and we rented with only 24 hrs notice so there were the expected issues with making sure everything was exactly as needed, but they were all handled quickly. There was good communication with the property management company so I wouldn’t expect those to reoccur for future renters. We are definitely taking away happy memories from our stay!
