BAYSIDE TOWNSHOUSE AT THE INDIAN RIVER INLET- BETHANY BEACH, DELAWARE

Our Bethany Beach home sits on a point of land extending into the Indian River Bay at the Indian River Inlet. It is a multi floor condo with three totally private bedrooms and bathrooms. There is also a semi private 4th bedroom that has a full private bath and is a loft with an opening overlooking the kitchen.

It is our home for many weeks of the year and we initially open up the calendar so many others can enjoy the water of the Inlet, the water of the bay with gorgeous sunsets and an 82 slip marina on the third side.

The fourth side is the access point from the Indian River Bridge- Route 1, going out to the Atlantic Ocean .8 mile away. Walking to the beach, you will go past the community (South Shore Marina) tennis court and the clubhouse and outdoor heated pool. Passing through the gate you will walk along the inlet and watch all the boats and fishermen casting for their dinner. Closer to the bridge is the Delaware State Park with restroom facilities and The Big Chill entertainment center. The state park has a 600 space parking lot that costs around $10 a day for parking. Get ready for the beach as it is beautiful and lifeguarded in season.

Back at the condo, you will find all beds made up along with bath towels and ready to go. Go up half flights to each bedroom and enter the 20 x 20 kitchen with a huge table and chairs or step out onto the balcony and overlook all the comings and goings of the fishing fleet. Better yet walk down and meet them as they love to talk. Or rent a charter and go out fishing for the big ones.

The living room is about 20 x 20 and has a walkout balcony to enjoy the bay, especially the sunsets or since the tides constrict at the inlet, enjoy the water sounds as they rush by. During the morning dolphins will play along the jetty or in the inlet. Come dinnertime the heron will stalk its prey in front of your eyes. The seal may come up on the rocks out front if the birds are not carpeting the jetty. Look up and see all the planes going overhead up and down the coast or heading to Europe.

Beyond the jetty will be shallow areas where boaters pull up and have their bar-b-ques fired up. See who forgets the tide left their boat high and dry!

With free private WIFI, flatscreens in every room and spectacular sunsets, the garage which will accommodate one Lexus size car and two cars facing the garage, you will be very sad to leave. In fact 45% of those leaving want to reserve the same week next year which reduces the number of openings to new people.

ALL WEEKS DURING THE SUMMER ARE SATURDAY TO SATURDAY....but it never hurts to inquire at the last minute about a shorter stay and if available we can make changes in the VRBO platform to accommodate your needs.

Note- There is a stair climber that is available for rent during your week so if anyone has trouble with stairs they can use it and join in on the fun.

NOTE- EFFECTIVE 1/1/25 DELAWARE WILL COLLECT A 4.5% TAX ON (WE BELIEVE) THE RENTAL PORTION OF THE LEASE WHICH EXCLUDES THE LINENS AND CLEANING. SUSSEX COUNTY WILL ALSO COLLECT A 3.5% TOURISM TAX ON THE RENTAL. DETAILS ARE SLOW COMING TO US SO PLEASE BE UNDERSTANDING. WE DO KNOW IT WILL BE BEST TO GET BOOKED PRIOR TO 1/1/25 TO ESCAPE SOME OF THE TAX.
