New 2024 SEASON .....8 in BLACKSTONE GRIDDLE. Upper level carpet is now gone. The home, if possible, feels even more open with the NEW LUXURY VINYL FLOORS and new AREA RUGS. Enjoy the most beautiful beach on the East Coast from this serene light-filled oceanfront home. The clean design and wonderful open floor plan make it the perfect place to bring family and friends, with the Atlantic Ocean as your front yard. Due to the unusual orientation of Bogue Bank, you can watch the sun rise AND set from the dramatic deck of this midcentury modern house.
Simple pleasures for all ages abound: long morning walks, body surfing, world class shell collecting, watching porpoises play from the deck, sunbathing and just getting lost in a good book. Food even tastes better on the screened porch! Serve up a casual seafood supper on the breezy screened porch as the sun begins to set.
OUTDOOR- PRIVATE HOT-COLD SHOWER that is a MUST experience!
Three comfortable bedrooms and two baths on the main floor, including a bright and spacious oceanfront master suite. The lower level with direct beach access offers an additional king bedroom, bath and a large bunk room to sleep 6, perfect for cousins or single guests. This is accessed from the indoor steps from the great room.
There are only ten steps to the beach from the lower level.
The home is located in a sleepy beachside community. The nearest major attraction is the wonderful North Carolina Aquarium less than five minutes away. Enjoyable restaurants are within a ten-minute drive.
This midcentury modern home was built in the late 1970's and has remained in our family. It has been enjoyed by four generations.
The views are incredible. All but one bedroom, have oceanfront views.
If your group is 'all about the beach,' this is the house for you.
The Pet Fee is per Pet and we do not take more than 2 Pets/2 maximum for Pets.

We stayed at the property for a wedding. Monica was very friendly and even let us check in early. She answered all our questions and helped us find items. The location was great. Right near everything we needed. We didn’t find too many shells but that’s ok. We had a great time walking the beach and looking for some.

Family Fall Getaway

The location is great! The beach access is fantastic and there are plenty of items on hand to use. The second garage fridge was awesome to have! The owners are easily accessible, although we didn’t need to contact them. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Monica‘s home at Pine Knolls. The location is superb. very private beach Just a short walk from the house. The aquarium is worthy of a visit! The house fit the 13 of us very well. And I do recommend it.

Relaxing Beach Vacation

Talk about a stunning location - just far enough away from Atlantic Beach to escape the crowds in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Direct beach access was awesome, as was waking up to see dolphins close to shore! House was great with more than enough space

Perfect family vacation spot

This house is in a great location on the beach as it is fairly secluded and not crowded. Deck is great for watching waves roll in and supervising older children on beach. The house is on the older side but if walls could talk I’m sure it would tell many family memories at the beach!

Monica’s place is simply perfect. We have two big dogs and one dog has cancer and we wanted to bring him to the ocean. He is a tripod. Monica is very gracious to allow us to stay. Her house is perfect and reminds me of mine where I grew up in FL. Thanks, Monica!

Family Reunion

It’s was an amazing place! Our family is spread out across the nation and because of the pandemic we have all not been together in several years! We had plenty of space for all of us. It was easy to access restaurants and grocery stores and it was wonderful to be on the beach!

Our family has created many happy memories here on the most beautiful beach in the country. This very special home has been the perfect place to celebrate retirement, new babies, family reunions, Easter, Thanksgiving and even a Spring wedding. We still vacation as an extended family every year. As the family grows, we fill every inch of this home with laughs and good times.
The home was designed for private spaces. You can get away from the activity and enjoy a spot on your own, be it on the hammock, or just in your quiet bedroom.

Why they chose this property

Quiet, restful, natural location where the ocean is front and center. You will definitely have your place of solitude and privacy on this near-empty stretch of beach. You just don't find this type of beach anymore.
The furniture and decor has been updated recently We recently added an outdoor,
hot-cold private shower and access to a volleyball setup stored in the garage.

Breezy screened porch, ocean front views from living room, dining room, kitchen, master suite and master bath. Wide deck overlooks the beach. Outdoor shower. No fuss simplicity and comfort - suitable for all ages. This beach house is forty five years old and has a midcentury modern design. The furniture and kitchen has been recently updated.
Before June 1st and after Sept 30th we will rent for 3 days or more.
