About this property

Tucked Inn is a cozy cabin located in Monteagle, Tennessee.

Tucked Inn is fully furnished and features two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (with heated floors), a fully furnished kitchen, upstairs living room with large screen TV, a sunroom that is just perfect for afternoon naps, and 1,000 square feet of porches and decks. You'll also find a relaxing hot tub on the lower porch. Central heat and air is provided as well as a wood burning stove with plenty of firewood that provides warmth and ambiance on those cold winter nights. Wireless Internet is available.
Our guests are encouraged to enjoy our garden cottage, "Sunny Side Up". It is a lovely place to just hang out and enjoy a good book or catch a nap. The back porch of the cottage cantilevers over a forest area where deer and other forest animals have been spotted. A covered pavilion is also located near the cabin.
We hope our guests will enjoy the out of doors while visiting Tucked Inn. Hiking, walking, and biking trails are located on the property and it's always fun to sit around our large fire pit after a fun filled day in the mountains!
Tucked Inn is located only 8 miles from the heart of Monteagle with easy access to I-24. The University of the South at Sewanee is located only minutes from Tucked Inn.

Great cabin in great location!

We had a nice vacation staying at the tucked inn. It is very close to lots of good hiking spots as well as a few good eateries. The cabin was updated, had decent beds and lots of room to spread out! The outside area is well equipped with the hot tub, fire pit, and walking areas. Owners were pleasant and responsive. I would stay here again!

Another fantastic stay

We’ve rented this place 5-6 times, it’s a wonderful place that is close to where our daughter attended college. Cozy, but perfect for 2-4 people…as there are wraparound porches that increase the cabin’s footprint by nearly 40%. Very private & safe property not far off I-24, the owners live nearby but we’ve never had a reason to call.

The weekend wasn't long enough!

We stayed at Tucked Inn to attend a concert at The Caverns. Thee concert was terrific but the highlight for all of us was time at Tucked Inn! We enjoyed the quiet location and the ambiance, the best compliment is we all wished we had planned to have an additional day. Our friends who drove in from Dallas Tx are already planning on coming back to visit but with their grandkids to enjoy everything Tucked Inn has to offer!

Beautiful private property

We had 3 adults and 3 young children on this trip. The cabin was so lovely and homey. We had so much fun enjoying nature at exploring the huge property. Rocks to climb on, creeks to play in, and camp fires in the fire pit, our kids had a blast. After a long day of exploring and hiking, the hot tub really hit the spot. The water was clean, full, and hot. The cover was very easy to take off and put on. Looking at the clear night sky from the hot tub was a great way to relax. Thank you so much for having us, we can’t wait to visit again!

I have lived in Tennessee all of my life. I grew up in a rural town south of Murfreesboro, Tn. I worked as an educator for 37 years and recently retired. I now work as Master Clinician in the Department of Education at Middle Tennessee State University. The place we call "home is located in Murfreesboro, TN. Our second home and favorite home is "Tucked Inn".

Why they chose this property

After several years of walking the family property, visiting other cabins, and researching cabin plans Terry and I made the decision to build a cabin of our own. Terry is a homebuilder, so we built "Tucked Inn" from the ground up!
It was truly a labor of love and we are happy that we are able to share this little piece of heaven with others.

What makes this property unique

As you enter the property, you will get a good idea as to how the name "Tucked Inn" came about. It is truly tucked in among a beautiful forest of trees, plants, and wildlife. Porches containing swings, rocking chairs, and tables and chairs for dining surround the house. An upstairs sunroom is surrounded by large windows to give a birds eye view of the trees below as well as a cool breeze during the summer months. A cozy garden cottage is located near the cabin. It's a great place to just hang out or catch a nap. Tucked Inn was featured in the 2015 edition of Cabins & Cottages which included plans and photos of over 100 cabins and vacation homes throughout the US.
