What an amazing place to call home for a few days!! The house was extremely clean, our hosts were so generous even greeting us at 11:30 pm when we arrived! Will definitely choose to stay here again!!
Beautiful home,Sharon was so nice and helpful with everything we was looking to do in that area. The house had everything and more.I would recommend and will be returning.
Yes, the neighborhood might seem off at first bitterly was nice and quiet, the house is amazing, and it’s close enough to Uber into anything so you can park your car in the secured parking and leave it there. I’d definitely stay there again!
The house is beautiful and very clean. Close to all the attractions that NOLA has to offer whether you are driving around town or need to Uber. The owner Sharon was nice and always available. Will definitely stay here again!
Perfect for our get away. Property was well equipped with what we needed. Hostess was phenomenal. We had great time

This property was perfect for our stay. We were less than 10 minutes from the superdome (Essence Festival celebration). The host was really nice and easy to communicate with regarding the stay.
The floors in the house are beautiful.
Sharon was very nice and communicative! The property has a very nice kitchen and laundry to help travel at ease. The beds and bathroom were nice too which made it a great place for staying. The area is a walkable from a lot of great areas, but you do have to walk through some rougher parts of town so we felt safer ubering late at night to get back home.
There's not much else to say other than that. Sharon was a great host. Place was perfect! Made some suggestions on how to improve some things and she acted immediately! Was totally not expecting that at all. They were merely suggestions. LOL! The neighborhood is a bit rough, but there's not many other places within proximity that aren't. At no time did we not feel safe. Can't wait to stay again!
Nice and cozy! Sharon was very welcoming and had everything in order and ready for our arrival. The place was clean and supplied with all essential needs. The cutest thing, she has an info sheet to help guide you to great music and good food…we were very appreciative for that (the small things). She made sure our trip was nothing short of amazing. Thank you Sharon!!
P.S. I read a lot of reviews about the location but let me tell you, she’s in a secluded spot where there was not a lot going on. Very quiet. The most I witness was the train (which you can’t really hear inside) and a nice lady walking her dog. We felt extremely safe with not a worry in the world!! Will definitely stay here again.
The property felt like home. It was well decorated and the kitchen was amazing (I wished I cooked while there). The neighborhood was quite. I truly forgot I was on vacation. Sharon was very welcoming and friendly as well as informative about things to do in the area. I give this property 5 STARS.
Great property with a host that went above and beyond my expectations!
Coffee, sugar, creamer, even some instant oatmeal so you didn't have to run out for the little things. Being able to park off street was a huge plus!
Neighborhood was pretty rough but alot of New Orleans is. For the price point it was above what I expected.

We love this apartment. It's on ground floor and is nice and roomy with a nice kitchen and bathroom. We did not mind at all that the neighborhood has been described as not so pretty. There is a train track across the street but with the doors closed you can't hear a thing. It's only a short Uber ride from the French Quarter and Market and almost everything else. If we are lucky enough to come back to NOLA we would definitely try to book this property. Sharon, the manager, was also very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and gave us several good tips.
The place was perfect! Was the right size for my family. Although in a neighborhood that was upon first impressions probably not the safest, we felt at ease at night sleeping. Will definitely stay there again, but will bring our own transportation. Very close to public transit.

Terrible Neighborhood
I want to say all good things but unfortunately, I can not. This house is in a TERRIBLE neighborhood and as we were driving through to get to it, I had an intense sense of dread. In 3 days, to/from once per day, we spent $222 in Uber/Taxi fees for transportation - $9 Uber to the French Quarter is a lie. It cost $40 (with tip) to take a taxi from the airport which was cheaper than Uber/Lift (in fact, Lift drivers wouldn't come to this neighborhood) and $54 to take an Uber back. Train tracks directly are across the street and no businesses are in sight. My city is fairly high crime but there's no way we'd walk ANYWHERE in that neighborhood. I watched people graffitiing the closed building about 60 feet away while outside...that felt safe. The house inside is eclectic and comfortable, outside has a serious wasp problem and way overgrown grass. You may save a little money to stay here but you'll likely lose the savings on transportation and food delivery.
Very clean, quiet, great location in respect to tourism. The host was very pleasant.

About the host
Hosted by Sharon Welborn
After raising our children and getting them off to college, My husband and I moved from Hawaii to New Orleans in 2015. We enjoy living in culturally diverse communities. The flavorful food, continuous offerings of live music, and festival atmosphere are why we chose New Orleans as our new home.
Why they chose this property
This property was built in 1942. It is a solid timber and beam home that withstood Hurricane Katrina and the subsequent flood due to the levy breaks. It was a Hay and Food store for 30 years in the downstairs, and the owners lived in the apartment upstairs (which is where we now reside). The home sat empty for nearly 20 years, when the original owners son decided to sell. We were lucky enough to get to purchase the property from him. We spent nearly 2 years taking it from a gutted building to a charming New Orleans home.
What makes this property unique
Away from the noise of the French Quarter, but easy 5 minutes drive to the French Market and Frenchman street. 10 minutes to Bourbon Street.
