Our cabin has been remodeled & newly furnished (2017). It features refinished 100 year old oak barn wood inside. It is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing vacation or a weekend to recharge. Peaceful location but just up the road from Pates Ford Marina & Fishlipz.
Please be respectful of our neighbors.
We are available by phone or email. We are in communication with our neighbors, who can also assist with any issues that may arise.
The cabin is on a dead end with a small turn around at the end of the road. Very little local traffic. Parking available (but please do not block the road).
There is a boat ramp about 2.5 miles down the road.
We allow well behaved pets & responsible pet owners. We do ask that pets stay off the furniture & beds. Please utilize a crate if leaving the cabin & do not leave pets unattended, and free to roam inside the house. We charge a one time pet fee.

It was nice, quite and the neighbors were especually nice. To call it a "Lake Cabin" might be stretching it a bit. We have a 4WD vehicle so, no problem. Price was a bit high for what you get but, all in all, it was a wonderful stay.
Beautiful area of TN with rolling hills and just far enough from a town for a perfect getaway. Easy enough to get to the water, ample state parks near by, and cozy home. The house had everything we needed for a little family getaway! Neighbors were kind and even our dogs enjoyed their stay! 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking to getaway from reality for a couple days (and still have WiFi for the kiddos if need be.)
We had a great time loved the cabin. It was definitely secluded. I was a little nervous the first night but it was fine afterwards. We did not go out after dark. :) The neighbors were really friendly. I would come again but I would make sure that I brought everything that I needed because it was a bit of a drive to go anywhere. It would be for a quiet restful getaway. If you wanted to hide away, this is the place to go......
It was in a desolate area and we did not feel safe. Also access was close to impossible when it rains. We did not even stay there because of the safety concerns.
This was a very nice cabin. Beautiful view. Clean rooms and bathroom. Very nice that the kitchen had food stocked. My kids loved the bunk beds. Perfect cabin for a weekend get away. Only 2 complaints: The coffee maker did not work and the grill was not useable. Because it was covered in mold. Besides that, it was a lovely stay.
Cute little cottage in the woods. Quiet and relaxed location. Easy to get to hiking and water activities at Rock Island, or for a slightly longer trek, to Fall Creek or Burgess Falls. Thanks for a great stay.
We spent 4 days enjoying this cabin,
Clean and comfortable. Great neighbors across the drive.
When they say secluded, they were not kidding. Enjoyed the deck and grill and laughter.
Thank you Mellisa
It was a great time. Didn’t have to contact property manager so can’t really give stars for that.

Short of expectation for price paid - deceiving presentation!
To start off cabin it’s not worth the price paid. It’s been the worst rental experience we ever had. I need positive note, the cabin is cozy and well presented-that I give it, but not clean! After driving 10 hours upon arrival I spent 15 minutes sweeping out the porch and removing spiderwebs, definitely not like the picture showed did not use the barbecue grill because it was covered with webs and it look nasty. The cabin Inside looked presentable but we had to dust the master bedroom ceiling fan-had about a quarter of an inch dust on it; had to take the vacuum and wipes to clean, also The spare bedrooms shelf had to be dusted so that my wife could put our grandson‘s clothes on it and NO-there is no closet, so we couldn’t hang up any of our clothes most of it had to stay in luggage or fold it in the dresser. My wife does not enjoy wearing wrinkled clothes so that was a biggie for us. We wouldn’t have rented the cabin if it did not have closet space. One may get by with a small family of 3-4, but anything bigger everything would have to be kept in the luggage’s. Also the master bed sheets were dirty we noticed at the end when we removed the comforter that the sheets had yellow and black hair n black spots on it towards the foot of the bed; third day in wife and I noticed that our back‘s and legs were starting to itch. we didn’t think anything of it thought it might be insect bite since we went to the falls but then realize it must have been the bed sheets. And last the refrigerator was full of open jars which with the COVID-19 epidemic is not a safe practice. As far as a view there is none all the trees are overgrown nothing maintained and that’s all you see right outside your window. I thought there was a view of the river but there wasn’t. In fact it’s a 15 to 20 minute walk to the river-once I got there it was not clean there was trash around n it smelt like somebody had just smoked weed in the area. I did reach out to Melissa, hostess in charge of our booking, via text-tried calling but my calls dropped, terrible wireless service in the area. I send her some pictures and she did quickly apologize for the condition of the cabin, but only offer me a refund of the cleaning charges, which was minimal. I replied, thanks. But for the work I had to do and the disappointment, I felt 20% discount would be appropriate. She never replied back n haven’t gone any refund! We wouldn’t recommend renting this cabin! Poor customer service!
We had a very relaxing weekend stay. The cabin is decorated nice and has a cozy feel. It is off the beaten path but we liked that. I saw other reviews mention tricky road conditions but they are not bad. I would point out that there is no icemaker so best to bring bagged ice. Very clean, cozy cabin. Perfect for a couple.
Our family enjoyed a quaint get-away in this wooded, river-side property! It provided a sweet location for a Thanksgiving dinner, game nights, and exploring. The owners responded quickly to questions, and the neighbors were friendly!
The house was fabulous! The neighborhood is quiet, and the neighbors are friendly. The house is completely furnished with anything you may need. Melanie was very helpful and quick to respond to all texts. I would definitely stay here again!
We wanted to stay close to this particular marina because our sons boat was docked there. As I had read in previous re Jews, the road to the cabin is much to be desired. However, don’t let outside appearances fool you. It was clean and had nearly everything required for dining and lounging. Thank goodness for WiFi, we had some communications. Cell phones don’t work in that area of the lake. Thank you also for quick response to emails and registration.
This place was super clean & decorated cute as a button. There was nothing I wanted for; this rental boasted everything our family of 7 wanted to be cozy after long days of hiking.... a large bathroom with a washer/ dryer, plenty of comfy seating & sofa blankets to DIY l enjoy a family movie together, & a dining room table big enough for the whole fam to eat dinner together. The kitchen had everything I need to prepare dinner each night. & I was so thankful she had plenty of extra clean sheets available, as I'd forgotten to bring along sheets for our portable crib. I'd recommend this place to a friend.
We had a great stay and were very comfortable. The place was clean and perfect for us. The instructions for the stay were very clear and communication was quick and responsive. We were very happy to have a place that allowed us to bring our dogs. It is a bit isolated so just be prepared to bring your groceries with you. I liked all the rustic decor. Very nice place!
Love this property and will continue to stay many more years

Felt like home! Thankyou!!!
Honestly we traveled for many years for work and this is defiantly #1 as far as relaxation! There are neighbors close by but are all very friendly and our 2 dogs were in heaven there! There are other dogs that roam free so if you have a dog that isn't good with others, I feel people should know this. The cabin itself was so comfortable! Felt like home!! The only problem we had was it was listed as a "lake view" property and you can not see the lake, but can hear the boats. When we come back to see my parents and sister will defiantly look to book here againn! Thankyou for sharing your home!
