Newly renovated 2 bedroom Park Model home located just 10 minutes from Venice beach and 2 hours from Disney World. Can sleep up to 6 people. Countless social activities throughout the park day and evening.
Unit is fully furnished with semi-private outdoor backyard patio area. Includes washer/dryer, AC and heated lanai, TV, fully equipped kitchen with microwave and coffee maker, linens and towels, outdoor gas barbecue, and 2 bicycles. Electric, water, wifi and basic cable included.
Renters have access to all Royal Coachman Resort amenities such as swimming, canoeing or kayaking, tennis, pickle-ball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, volleyball, bocce, fitness center, recreation hall and much more.

Review

It was wonderful as usual. The only complaint was they changed the code to the gate and we couldn’t get in to the rental and we had drove from Ohio and it was 4:30 in the AM and we were tired and it was hard to get anyone to respond to us. Plus this was the week they decided to tent for termites so the workout room and pool was not accessible. This was not any fault of the owners they were unaware of the issue until last minute. We enjoy this place so much and hope to stay again next year.

Roaches and sarcastic owner

A few days after we arrived, we started noticing roaches running across the counters. We hadn’t used the kitchen much prior to this, so I started opening cabinets and drawers. The amount of dead (and alive) roaches was stomach churning. We called the owner of the property, who basically said palmetto bugs (which is just another term for American cockroaches) are very common in Florida. Sure, seeing one or two may be common, but not 10-20. Also, there were not just palmetto bugs present. There were German cockroaches as well. The owner went back and forth with me and basically acted like he was doing us a favor offering to have a company come out to spray and exact words “sorry you’re not comfortable with palmetto bugs” his tone was very sarcastic. I’m not sure any person is truly comfortable with ROACHES crawling next to their food and throughout the kitchen. There were legs and dead bodies as well as lots of roach poop mixed in the drawers with silverware and also plates and cups. He said that he would have a company come out to spray, but we have no proof anyone actually came. There was no correspondence after they allegedly came out, nor was a note left or anything. After this, we kept seeing bugs and ended up cutting our stay short and leaving early. The cost of this unit was not cheap enough to suggest I should have to deal with roaches. The actual resort was nice and clean. It also had great amenities. If you are set on staying there, I would absolutely rent from another person within the resort.

Had a wonderful time!

For my husband, this was a return trip to Royal Coachman after 40 years. While the place has changes it still a great place to stay. The pool is wonderful. The park home is so nice and met all our needs. Would highly recommend staying there and we can’t wait for our next visit.

I expected this to be a true 2 bedroom however one bed is out on the enclosed lanai just 2 steps from the back storm door. I was unable to have my daughter stay with me as it felt insecure, even though there is a lock on the back door.

summer get away!!

My family stayed here for a week and enjoyed every minute. The pool was fantastic; the kids loved being able to get in every day. The house was charming and well maintained. There was plenty of room for my family of 4. John, Greg, and Cathy were wonderful and made sure we have everything we needed to have a great vacation. We are looking forward to your next stay.

Great location with lots of things to do in the park and surrounding areas.

A little small for 4 adults, (would be perfect for family of 2 adults and 2+ kids) was more than adequate for our needs. Lots of activities and events in the park to do (canoeing, kayaking, minigolf, tennis,swimming pool, and more), located close to public beach access and within 10-20minutes of major shopping. Park residents were very friendly. Owner and on site contact were friendly and very helpful with any problems we had. Would deffinatly consider it for future trips. Thank You.

We are Michigan snowbirds who love our Florida home in beautiful Royal Coachman Resort with its wonderful people, great amenities and endless social activities to choose from each day. We usually start with mixed beach volleyball in the morning, pickle-ball, swimming, afternoon shuffle board and bocce. Other days we might lay by the pool with a good book, go fishing in the Gulf, bike to nearby Nokomis Beach, get in some shopping in beautiful downtown Venice, or perhaps plan a weekend excursion to Disney World, just 2 hours away.

Why they chose this property

We've been winter snowbirds at RCR for over 10 years and finally decided to purchase our own park model, with plans to eventually retire there. The people, staff and park activities are outstanding, and it is conveniently located on Dona Bay, between I-75 and 41, with access to the Intracoastal waterway. Our last canoe trip on Dona Bay we paddled alongside dolphins and even manatee.

What makes this property unique

Unlike most park models in the RCR resort we have 2 bedrooms plus a pullout sofa to sleep up to six people. Also unique, the lania includes central AC and heat, with a full-sized stacked washer-dryer. Our unit is on quiet Osprey loop, just steps away from the recreation hall and many resort amenities.
