Location & area

A lovely space that has plenty of areas to relax & spread out with you and many guests. Including a great little outdoor deck. Also love the location with the street having lots of great restaurants, a fantastic bakery across the street, grocery stores just out the door and great coffee nearby as well. Felix & Virginia were also extremely attentive - will stay again!

Excellent stay in Paris!

This spotless 3-bed, 3-bath home became our home-away-from-home for more than a week as we explored Paris on a 3-generation family vacation. We were not sure what to expect as we opened the almost hidden outside door and made our way up the dark stairs between two restaurants. The door to "our" apartment opened up to a bright clean space with a full kitchen, washer and dryer and plenty of space for all to spread out. The neighborhood has everything you could ask for in food, wine, bakery, grocery supplies and a nearby metro stop. We bought fresh produce, charcuterie and cheeses almost daily for a relaxing dinner in. Abdou was hired to assist our group of 6 (with booster seats!) to get to and from the airport and even Disneyland.It was perfect stay. Thank you, Felix!

Beautiful apartment in a great location

Everything about this apartment is beautiful and new, exactly as the pictures show, and we enjoyed our weeklong stay in this apartment with our four children (ages 16-23). The three bedrooms and three bathrooms are great, and the kitchen is huge. The host was very helpful to us upon arrival. The location is really great: there is a Metro station right there that is served by three different lines, so you can be anywhere in Paris in just a few minutes (get the Ile-de-France Mobilites app). The neighborhood itself has lots of restaurants and stores and there is a great bakery (Alexine) right across the street. We enjoyed several meals in the apartment as well. We would definitely stay at this apartment again.

Family visit to Paris for 10 days

Great location, comfortable spacious apartment, everything we needed and more. The host was super helpful and even arranged luxury transport from and to the airport. Lots of local eateries right outside our door and the best bakery across the street. Metro 2- 3 minute walk from the apartment. AC was great, living comfortable with a nice TV. Wi-Fi was consistent

Amazing stay in Paris

Our stay in this apartment was perfect. The space was perfect for our group of 7 people (3 couples and a single friend). The location is incredible, walking distance to many cafes, bars, and restaurants in a lively neighborhood and right at a main metro stop. The hosts are very friendly and communicative, ensuring we checked in successfully and knew how to use all the features of the apartment. I highly recommend this VRBO, especially for medium groups and medium-long term stays.

Great apartment

I cannot say enough about the hosts and the communication. Gracious, informative and professional come to mind. The apartment was also wonderful - spacious, extremely clean and comfortable. All amenities were great. Sadly, the entrance and building are old, dirty and there was a leaky pipe above the ante door to our unit that dripped on us as we came and went. This is the reason for 4 stars. Great bakery and market a few steps from main door. During the day, the neighborhood is fine. Lots of people at night but a bit sketchy.

Awesome home base

We stayed for a week in late spring with 8 people. A few had to sleep on couches but they were comfy. Having A/C throughout and laundry was very nice and not too common. Overall we had a great stay with the location being central, within steps from the metro and with tons of eating and shopping. Friday night partying was off the hook in this neighborhood, but once inside you would barely know it was happening. Felix and Virginia are great hosts too. Can't ask for much more.

Great Thanksgiving here

The apartment was really nice. Virginia was great. Location was good too. Everything worked and there was plenty of room for all 3 of us. Thank you for a great Thanksgiving. Entrance hall once you come into the building could use a paint job, but we have noticed several building are like that in France.

Wonderful Apartment!

The accommodations at this property were outstanding. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Communication with the owners was great and they were very accommodating to our early arrival. Located in a very vibrant neighborhood filled with amazing restaurants, patisseries and markets. A two minute walk to the metro. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. We had a wonderful Paris vacation!

Great apartment

We loved the apartment. Plenty of space for two couples. Apartment was as described. Neighborhood is immigrant working class, lively area, but inside apartment was very quiet. Many restaurants and grocery stores and bakeries at our doorstop. Short walk to nearest metro. Great place as a base in Paris. We would stay there again.

This is a large apartment in a great location. The other good reviews are accurate as is the description on VRBO/Expedia. This area is safe with innumerable dining options within walking distance for every price point, as well as numerous groceries. Felix is great. We arrived 1.5 hours before anticipated and our early arrival was easily accommodated. Maybe add more bathroom lights for those of us from the US.

Awesome Apartment

This property by far exceeded our expectations. Virginia was lovely meeting us on arrival and showing how things worked in the apartment. She was more than happy for us to contact her with any queries. The apartment had everything we needed from a kitchen that had every appliance possible and was very well stocked to the most comfortable beds and pillows! The "little extras" supplied were wonderful as most apartments don't have these. The apartment is located within a few steps of the Metro and is a superb location. We would certainly recommend this apartment to family and friends and will definitely stay here again when we visit Paris. Thank you for an awesome time in Paris. We were very sad to leave.

Construction Woes

Apartment was wonderful. However the jackhammers on the floor below from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm were intolerable. They cut electricity to the apartment, and as I understand, it was not restored until days later. The owner was nice enough to offer another apartment. Nicer neighborhood, but apartment was not nearly as nice as the Victory apartment. Really disappointed. More to the story, but this is enough for now. Owner and manager really nice people.

Amazing

This apartment is located in a fantastic location ease to restaurants, shops, train station and buses. It is bright, clean and well equipped. Really only sleeps two couples and kids sleeping on the couch. No sofa bed. Having two bathrooms made life so much easier for getting out and about quickly. The owner met us at the property to show us how everything works. This was greatly appreciated. There are 17 steps up a spiral stairs to the apartment and a large step into the shower which is difficult with mobility issues. We loved this apartment and would recommend it as the perfect stayz holiday apartment.

Paris Apartment

The apartment was wonderful. Felix and his colleague, Virginia, were very helpful throughout the booking process and on our stay. There was a mix-up on our first night in Paris, but Felix provided a satisfactory solution. The apartment has many amenities. One being an AC. Also, the apartment comes with an amenity tray with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body gel, shower cap and sewing kit. Another nice touch not often seen in rentals was a security safe. The Metro is across the street, as well as, a grocery store. The only recommendation that I would suggest is to have a shopping cart to carry groceries back to apartment.

Looooved our stay!

Rather similar to all the reviews we read, the street entry looks a little edgy. But the apartment itself is great. And once you understand the neighborhood, it doesn’t seem near as edgy. Felix & Virginia are fabulous hosts, and the location is actually pretty great. One block over and you’re in the beautiful 2nd district, one block in a different direction and you’re in the equally gorgeous 3rd district. Both the 2nd and the 3rd offer incredible strolls through fabulous neighborhoods with great restaurants and shops. The Metro is very close by and you are but a few stops away from some of the best of what Paris has to offer. Also, although the street looks a little colorful at times, there are actually a number of great shops and restaurants right nearby … just steps away. We picked up our morning bread and pastries at the highly awarded, fabulous and hip little bakery right across the street. We had a great time!

Great Location for Metro Access

There were four of us staying here and it worked out really well. The apartment is only one block from a Metro stop with access to several lines. There are some good restaurants within walking distance (really liked Bonne Nouvelle). Large living and dining area with plenty of comfortable seating for us. Bedrooms had plenty of shelf space in closet for belongings. They are small and do not have windows but we didn't spend much time in them. Water pressure in showers was lower than we would have liked. It requires walking up one flight using a circular staircase - but only had to take suitcases up and down once so no big deal. Area rug under dining table should be replaced as it was easy to trip over it. We all agreed that it was a pleasant experience for us and would do it again.

Paris Stay in St. Denis

The apartment is as described and shown in the pictures. Felix and Virginia are gracious, responsive hosts. Virginia met us upon check-in and even brought us a bottle of wine. She explained how to open the doors and left many eating suggestions. They even arranged a ride for our group from the apartment to the airport when we left and offered to do the same upon our arrival. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Lots of seating space for our group of five. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms provided everyone their own space. The large dining room table allowed us to enjoy meals together. My only caveat is that there is a strong smell of paint in the apartment. Having a washer and dryer in the apartment was a bonus as was having air conditioning. The neighborhood is very diverse, but we enjoyed that. Lots of great eating places nearby, and Alexine's bakery across the street was excellent--a must try! The Metro was very close, so it made getting around Paris very easy. Other nearby conveniences included pharmacies, mini-marts, and fruit markets. Be aware that there is one circular flight of stairs to climb to get to the apartment, but there is handrail. On our trip, we stayed at three different locations in England and France, and this was the best. Would go back again!

Location, location, location

I can't say enough about the location of this apartment. A 60 second walk to the metro that can get you pretty much anywhere you want to go. Close to the excitement of Rue St. Denis. Amazing restaurants steps from the door. Yes, all the other things about the sketchy look and smelly hallway are true, but you're in Paris. And once you get to the apartment itself, it's wonderful. We stayed two weeks and were offered a complementary linen change halfway through our stay which was very kind. Not a big deal, but apartment description pictures has a TV shown in the bedroom, but there is not one there. Communication with host was quick and efficient. Beds were certainly comfortable. Running the AC in the bedroom causes a pump to make noise which, if you're a super light sleeper could keep you up, but sleeping with the bedroom door open and the living room AC on kept it cool enough, even in the middle of July. Best bakery we found was Boulanger Patissier, a 3 minute walk up the street. Lovely proprietors. We also at at Derya (twice!) and Boullion Julien. As others have said, a guestbook with other helpful travel hints would be nice to have. Also, instructions on how to use the combo washer/dryer! Wifi was great, as were the TV options (not that we watched much! Thanks for a lovely stay.

A taste of REAL Paris.

If you are the type of tourist who prefers a “sanitized” experience like what you will find in the large hotel chains than this may not be the location for you. If however you are interested in a clean, modern and quiet haven in a vibrant, cosmopolitan part of Paris well served by Metro, RER, bus routes not to mention train stations with all major sites within walking distance than look no further…. We absolutely loved the week we spent in this apartment and would not hesitate to return. The facilities were exactly as described and perfect for two couples sharing. The fully heated and air conditioned quality of this apartment deserves special merit in a city such as Paris. Felix and Virginia were a perfect team. Felix always answered any of our queries promptly more often than not by returned phone call which always made us feel confident in our choice. Virginia was on site for our introductory tour and for any and all daily requests. One hair dryer and our Nespresso machine failed during our stay and we’re replaced within the day without question. The location was vey well served by a boulangerie across the street, a Carrefour City (grocery) next door, multiple cheese, wine, meat and vegetable shops steps away. A bevy of restaurants also line the streets. Of particular interest I would definitely recommend “le Bouillon Julien” for a typical Parisian dine-out from a bygone era in a fabulous decor located at #16. Highly recommend this VRBO and it’s owner/operator.

Bargain for Paris

We had a great stay at this property in the 10th arrondissement. It is really at the border of the 2nd, 3rd and 10th and was a easy jumping off point for anywhere you want to go either walking the surrounding neighborhoods or taking the Strasbourg St Denis Metro which is at most 2 minute walk. The neighborhood has a more city and less touristy feel with a lot of small butchers and grocers as well as restaurants. We loved Alexine Boulangerie across the street so much my wife bought 10 croissants on the day we left just to have it when we got home. The flat itself was spacious, clean, modern and comfortable. With five in our group, having a combo washer/dryer helped us with reducing our clothes packing needs. The AC was a godsend because it got hot and humid while we were there. Virginia and Felix communicated through WhatsApp and were easily reached when there was an issue that arose. Virginia greeted us on arrival and ran through the apartment with us including setting up the sofa bed for my son. Wi-Fi was fast and easy to connect to help plan the day. It was a single flight up the stairs to the apartment. The building felt very secure. Didn’t really get the cigarette smell someone else mentioned in a previous review. Compared with 20 years ago when we last went to Paris, the amount of smoking has gone down and it was great eating in restaurants that are all smoke free indoors! Would love to visit France in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to book this apartment again.
