About this property

BLUEBERRY HILL CABIN

The Blueberry Hill Cabin is located in Willow NY, seven miles from the heart of Woodstock. I can tell you this cabin has been in the family for 50 years and just now fixed to have guests enjoy this one of a kind living space The winding driveway to the cabin is a small stone road that goes down into a field, and there it opens up to the large, open, sky. Parking for the cabin is straight ahead. The cabin sits on a two acre field with wild strawberries, blueberries, mountain laurel and is surrounded by 19 acres of non-timbered woodland. One can hardly catch your breath to view this truly private world. Enjoy the evenings and cozy up outdoors in front of the Grand Fire Pit. The Cabin looking like the old west, has four long steps spanning the length of the building and there is a porch swing to hang out on. Or enjoy eating outside on the ice cream table. There are stone paths the lead to the Fire Pit and a field dining table.
From the porch looking in through the Mullion Windows, one can see this great open floor plan. The inside has original hard wood flooring, rustic walls and high ceilings. The bathroom was constructed from the original lumber from the outhouse. Large wood Adirondack chairs for comfortable sitting. Rustic little kitchen area with a new four burner stove/oven, new Refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker and toaster oven. Plenty of dishes, pot & pans, drinking glasses and utensils for your convenience including the towels and linens for the Queen size bed. Take a relaxing indoor bath in the unique antique tin and wood bath tub or take a quick shower in the outdoor shower stall that has hot and cold water. There is a small electric heater inserted in fireplace. The cabin also has Apple TV and WI-Fi. There is also a 60's turntable to play tunes on. Please see all the great cabin photos.
Please call me if you have questions.
Cheers,
Diane

Charming, peaceful stay!
We spent the month here and it exceeded our expectations. While it is rustic (a little dusting, clearing cobwebs, etc. did the trick) it also is in the "country", and that privacy is unparalleled and a bit of "nature" inevitably comes with the territory. The cabin is gorgeous, sexy even (it comes with a record player, gorgeous stained glass chandelier, etc.). There are tall ceilings, a classic old tub, huge windows that look out onto trees, flora and fauna. It was very easy to adjust to the outdoor shower, too. Once we put in a makeshift light, showering out there was a no brainer. The porch is also a great amenity- it's perfect to play guitar on, eat a meal outside. There's a ton of lawn space (there were ticks, but tis the season, and once we messaged Mike, he helped immediately - he was very responsive) and we played bocce, croquet, you name it. Truly wonderful and not too far from either Mt. Tremper/Pheonicia, or Woodstock. So, while the quiet is there, the "city" is close by. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic property! Extremely charming cabin!
The property is located down a long dirt driveway in a secluded open meadow. We saw deer, turkeys and lots other wildlife walking in front of the cabin during our stay. The inside of the cabin is extremely charming and well decorated to feel very cozy. The owners we easy to communicate with. We would 100% stay here again.

This cabin is a nice place to stay for a few days and get away from the city. Cons: - a bit dusty - not enough hot water to fill the bathtub - the door doesn't lock Pros: - beautiful yard - nice firepit - great record player - beautiful interior - great location to everything the catskills has to offer

I was not impressed
Ten minutes after entering , I left . The building is pretty , but that is all . I know what I was getting onto (a little) , but this was worse than expected . I own property's that are old on the facade and brand new inside and are magical , this place was not magical at all . More like a Stephen King movie . It was 84 inside , no air , musty odors throughout ( could be toxic mold) , bugs on the walls , bathroom was dirty . All the furniture and blankets were made of wool . It was May 24 and very hot . The drive way . Ha ! What a joke , it was a path. The fee was way over priced for what you received . This cabin could work for a fall fishing trip , not for late spring or summer . The manager and agent were not happy people and a pain to work with . I am from NY/NJ/CT. and understand the north east attitude , but they seemed to hate their jobs and people too . Do not rent this cabin . It is a rip off ! I have been coming to the area for many years . I wanted to try a new rental . What a mistake .

Very nice rustic cabin
The cabin was very nicely decorated and romantic. It was a perfect getaway for our 1st wedding anniversary, not to far from Woodstock for entertainment and dining yet secluded enough for privacy. The only downsides I would say is that there were alot of bugs. I know it's a cabin and it's to be expected but we were only there 2 nights and must have taken out like 20 of these bugs that looked like stink bugs. Also the door didn't lock which I didn't like because we had taken out laptop with us. Luckily it is in a very secluded area and nothing happened but would have had more ease of mind if we knew our things were in a locked cabin. Also the cabin has no heating so be careful if you go in cooler weather. We went in early October and it happened be be very warm out that weekend so we lucked out. All in all, I loved it and would consider going back. It has a wonderful charm to it.

nice cabin and property
The cabin and property are beautiful. Very comfortable bed, usable kitchenette, lovely front porch to sit and watch nature and pass the time. Great location in terms of getting into the town of Woodstock or going out to restaurants. We unfortunately had cold weather during our stay, which we would have been completely unprepared for had I not contacted the owner to ask about heat and the use of the fireplace. There is no heat, it is a seasonal cabin and the fireplace is not operational. This is important information to know depending on what time of year you are planning your stay. Also keep in mind that the shower is outdoors, so when it's 50 degrees outside, bathing is a bit challenging. Overall, with the right weather, this is a great place.

Absolutely spectacular!
If you're looking for a weekend away, this is the spot you've been looking for. The pictures are exactly as it appears in person, and it's in an ideal location. Want to eat breakfast at a nearby diner? Hike to a waterfall? Swim in a river? That's all within a short drive of this dreamy cabin. As for the cabin, it has everything you need (towels, outdoor shower, adorable porch, front yard where the deer are grazing, full kitchen with dishes and pans). If I ever head back to upstate New York, this is where I'm staying.

Rustic Woodsy Cabin with So Much Charm
One of the coolest rental properties I've ever been in. I came in July for summer - so it was hot and sunny. The place was great as it had an outdoor shower, original bath tub, so much wood and charm and rustic feel. Old record player with real vinyl, but brand new kitch appliances and toilet. There were even deer in the yard in the morning. Overall incredible experience and I would highly recommend it to any city dweller looking for a dose of NATURE. Just 15 minutes to heart of Woodstock if you need a bite. An unforgettable weekend setting.

About the host

Hi I am Mike. I grew up in Woodstock around many of the famous musicians and bands that chose this area to live practice and record. Through these influences I became a guitar player, them recording engineer, onto record producer and artist development. Moving to NYC I had worked with many stars, credited on many albums and worked with most major record labels. Then produced music for commercials having been in the top 20 for Addweek two years in a row. Now living in Bearsville I look after homes and have a daughter.

Why they chose this property

It is a 20 acre peace of nature. The Blueberry Hill Cabin is the only structure that sits looking onto a field where you may see deer, fox, turkeys, eagles and outer wildlife. It is located in the most new and sot-after vacation places in the USA as CNN reported. The tunes you can play on vinyl, dinning in the field, fire pit and BBQ. There is a outside shower or bath in antique bathtub.
