Cosy 1 bedroom apartment in a historic canal house in a quiet and very popular residential area on the Amsterdam city island 'Prinseneiland', The island is like an old fashioned village within the center of Amsterdam, and is inhabited by a nice mixture of artists, expats and traditional Amsterdam people, close to the canals and main city’s attractions.

The apartment has a very nice feel with an 'authentic' style, an open, fully equipped kitchen in the living-room, a private bathroom with shower, wireless internet, a TV with international channels and of course a coffee maker.
Everything in this apartment is in great condition!

The neighbourhood is ideal located at about a 10 minutes walking distance from the busy city center with lots of restaurants and shops, The Ann Frank House, the Central Railway Station, the Red Light District, Dam Square and Westerpark and 3 nice markets on Mondays (arts and crafts-), Wednesdays (organic-) and Saturdays (farmers-).
In short, the perfect place to stay when in Amsterdam!

Wonderful quiet location - easy walk to tram and bus.Bedroom has queen bed and it is quite tight to get in and out of bed.Once we realized that the best way to communicate with host is through Whats App she was very good at returning texts.

Priseneisland stay

Emmy was a wonderful host. The flat perfectly suited our needs. It is located in a lovely quiet neighborhood, but everything in Amsterdam is within walking or biking distance.

Must-stay spot in Amsterdam!

This apartment had everything we needed and is in a quiet, very nice neighborhood. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room is spacious. There is public transportation just a short walk away as well as parks. Emmy is a fantastic host and we had great communication with her before and during our stay. Highly recommend this property!

Great Place to Syay

If you are in Amsterdam, you will not find a better place to stay! Emmy is very easy to communicate with and helpful! Her apartment is extremely clean, roomy and well equipped ! Often you do not meet the owner and she welcomed us to show us around and give us any needed information !

A quiet place with close connections.

This property is a fully-outfitted, immaculately clean ground floor apartment in a very quiet neighborhood. It is within a short walk to the sites of central Amsterdam, to Amsterdam Central Station (for day trips into the nearby countryside), to tram and bus line pick-up points and to convenient nearby grocers and eating establishments. Emmy Brant, the proprietor was most gracious and helpful at check-in, giving us guidance on where to find transportation, groceries, meals and nearby sites. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Perfect lodging in Amsterdam

We stayed 4 nights in a great apartment in Amsterdam’s northwest corner. A 7 minute walk to the tram stop, about the same to the grocery store and only 19 minutes to central station. A great neighborhood to see how and where the locals live. We loved every second.

Quiet Location

The apartment looked exactly as described and was a very quiet location which was nice after a very hectic day. It did concern me we were unable to lock the door when we left due to Amsterdam laws. I believe others were staying in the building and they would have had access to our lodging since we were not there.

Emmy is the perfect host

She was very responsive throughout the process. She anticipated our needs in advance. She seems to be a genuinely kind hearted person. The apartment was great. It’s in a very special/unique island neighborhood, but not far from the center of activity. Highly recommend.

Perfect location, clean as a whistle, well equipped, very comfortable, and on the ground floor? Yes, please! Emmy was a great host, and the apartment was exactly as described in the listing. There’s a tram stop, a breakfast place, a cute bar, and a grocery/wine store just a 5-minute walk away, and the neighborhood is quiet, safe, and charming. Can’t say enough good things about Prinseneiland 33!

Charming and Cozy Property in Quiet Neighborhood

The apartment was exactly as shown in the pictures and described. It was within walking distance to a grocery store and the bus and trams which made it easy to get around. We took a walk around the neighborhood and it is beautiful around there. It is a nice, quiet neighborhood which was quite welcome after spending the day in the bustling and crowded downtown areas. The bed was very comfortable (I like a fan at night so was happy to see it) and the kitchen had everything we needed. The apartment also has a smart tv so you can log into Amazon and Netflix to watch movies. Emmy was very responsive to our questions and requests. She is a great host. We enjoyed staying at her apartment.

Great appartment in terrific location!

Very nice accommodation in beautiful quiet area. Walking distance to all major Amsterdam attractions. We particulary enjoyed Westerpark where we walked in the evenings and vistited the local bars and restaurants. Emmy met us when we arrived and gave us a nice description of the appartment and surrounding area. We would defiinitely stay again.

We Miss Amsterdam Already

We loved our first visit to Amsterdam and were very happy in Emmy's lovely apartment! It's spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed for a 5 night stay. This is a perfect location for people who want to be within easy walking and public transit distance from everything in Amsterdam and surrounding areas, but not in the middle of the nightlife noise. Full kitchen, comfortable temperature with floor heating, great location, easy access to restaurants, shops, buses and trams, and the central train station. Emmy met us on arrival and explained how everything worked, and we had no need to contact her throughout our stay because she thought of everything. Highly recommend for couples and small families.
