Early fall vaca

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Have stayed in this cabin numerous times. Really like the location and the friendliness of the campers around us. There have been some upgrades since we last visited but could still could use some tlc. Overall we like the area for the location to the park and restaurants.

Nice place to stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place to stay out of the way in Wears Valley. Relatively quiet cabin located in camp ground. Cabin was clean and supplied with the basics for cooking. Nice hot tub in a screened in porch. I called twice before we got to the cabin and the lady who answered was very helpful and informed about the area. I thank her very much.

Great location...but....

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The tiny home is nice however it needs lots of work. Deck boards are loose & nails stick out in some spots. The cold water knob in the shower stopped working but someone did come out right away to fix it. Lighting could be better especially in bathroom and hot tub area. The furniture needs a dust rag passed thru especially the tables underneath. The area is nice, it's well stocked with supplies and the bed was comfortable. What I was truly disappointed with was my dogs got fleas, not sure if due to the home (rug/furniture) or from grass area outside. I had to run to town and get flea shampoo, bedding spray and flea collars because it was so bad. As soon as we got home we all jumped in shower in order to not infest my home with the fleas and EVERYTHING had to cleaned.

Not Happy

The cabin was dirty and dusty! The bathroom shower faucet broke in our hand and we were brought a pair of pliers to fix the issue??? So much dust under the bed, it was gross! Ripped bed dust cover with large holes in it! All the furniture was broken down and you sunk to the middle with your chin on your knees. The tvs were a joke! The remotes didn’t work and the xfinity box never worked in the bedroom. Put in two maintenance requests and were told basically they don’t know why they don’t work and left! The bathroom vent and living room return were so filled with dust, they were plugged up. All the bed linens, lamps and bulbs are all out dated and very dim. The hot tub cover is all moldy! The stove and oven were gross and looked like it was never cleaned!! Do not stay here! This cabin needs a complete renovation and all new appliances and LOTS of TLC! This owner should be ashamed to charge for staying here!! Pictures online are WAY outdated and filtered!!!! I have pictures to prove this review!!

June 2024 Stay

Fantastic little cabin. Very nice atmosphere and the host was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again. I trailered my bike down with my 3/4 ton and 16’ motorcycle trailer and was able to drop the trailer and everything right in front of the cabin. I know when I look for places to stay that’s a concern I have, and this place had ample parking for truck, trailer, and bike. Very nice, would highly recommend!!

Almost Camping Too 5 Night Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: HelloOn 6-28-19 we checked into the Almost Camping Too Rental. After entering the cabin we were a bit disappointed with the condition that it is in. On the front door with the keypad, the mini blind is all broke up and has a hole in it about the size of a fist. The side door to the cabin going into the deck is so twisted you can see day light from the top. Also, on the back of the bathroom door one of the brackets to hold the towel rack on is broke off and screws are sticking out of the door! One of the people in our party almost hit their head on them. The remote to the tv in the bedroom doesn’t work and has to be turned on manually on the side. I just wanted to make you all aware of these issues with the cabin as we were a bit disappointed after a 7 hour drive. We also contacted Cove Mountains Cabin Rentals with the concerns and have yet to receive a response.

Camping Under the Stars

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love using Cove Mountain as our contact for cabin rentals in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. The staff make reserving a cabin so easy. The location of this cabin is convenient to the GSMNP and many of the major attractions in the area. The community swimming pool and catch and release pond is also very close by. This cabin is an older one and could stand to be freshened up a bit. Everything worked in the cabin but there was no DVD player. That's not a deal breaker for us, but if you have a need for one, you may want to consider bringing one from home. All of the windows have shades, but the front door does not and you can see inside the cabin all the way to the bedroom. We used an extra sheet as a make shift curtain for a little more privacy. This cabin has a stackable washer and dryer. Both work but the washer is a little noisy so it's best to do any laundry before bedtime. This cabin sits on a nice large lot and has plenty of room for chairs or hammocks for relaxing. The cabin has a screened in hot tub on the end where the primary bedroom is located but can only be accessed through an exterior door.

Perfect for two people

This was an awesome place to stay however, there were a couple things. The hot tub on the back porch ran all the time, it never shut off. The hot water ran out quickly. Two people could not take a shower at night. One of us had to shower at night and the other in the morning. Also there was a mouse problem. It was coming in from the fireplace and going up into the mantle every night. On the other hand this was a great place for my dog. I brought some gates to put up at the stairs and she was able to be off the leash on the deck. The deck was nice and big for her to run. She loved it out there! The campground was nice and quiet, none of the campers were loud and no one bothered us. The cows across the way really made it feel like home!

Great Smokey mountain cacation

The cabin was adequately equipped especially since our stay was for a week and we cooked most of our dinners in the cabin . Although the cabin is on the small size , it’s ideal for the two of us and our pet , and the cabin was extremely clean !I would highly recommend this cabin and I’m confident you will enjoy your stay .

July 2023 Stay

we did overall love the cabin and our stay. We couldn’t get the fireplace to work though! and the couch closest to the kitchen had woman’s underwear in it and honestly the couch smelt horrible, like urine. definitely would invest in a new one if possible or shampoo it.

We loved it and will be returning

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love the area and as staying 5 weeks wanted a cabin but needed to economise. A very quiet site (in May)& nicely laid out. Friendly people, especially the owners who we met. Walking distance to the fabulous pool and deli which is extremely well run, clean and food is great. Beautiful scenery surrounding. Cabin is not new & needs a bit of TLC in places but we were comfortable for 5 weeks, it had everything we needed (including hot tub) and after a few days we were completely at home.

Under the stars

Very clean, very easy check in. 10/10 would stay here again. The location of the cabin is far enough away from everything to feel peaceful but the location is convenient.

Upon retiring for the evening we found the bed to not have a flat sheet but the office got us one the next morning. Nice but small

The cabin was really nice and was very convenient but it is smaller than it looked in the picture. Fortunately both my boyfriend and I are short or we wouldn't have been able to fit in the shower. Anyone 6ft or taller would have a hard time staying here. The cabin is nice and conveniently located and very clean, aside from it being smaller than expected there aren't any other issues worth noting. Also it's important to note that while you do have access to the pool, the pool is a public pool where people can pay to swim so it is always packed. If you are staying in the cabin you can swim for free but due to it being a public pool it was always packed during our stay.

Anniversary in the mountains

Comfortable and clean. Location was great. Quiet and no really close neighbors. Would definitely stay again. Only suggestion would be to fix steps onto the deck.

To dirty for me

Left a day early due to bed being broken down on one side and very hard. Property needed a good spring cleaning and new blinds. The blinds had sections missing and smear marks on the window from past guest. The filter cover had a little bit of everything from many past guest. Located right next to the laundry cabin. Busy area. Hot tub cover was covered in mold. Went to use the vacuum and had to empty a very packed vacuum before I could use it. Emailed and sent pictures with a quick response of thanks for letting us know.
