About this property

Perfect location! Quiet street, but right downtown

If you're looking for a reasonably priced, charming, cottage with all the comforts of home, you've found it! You will not find a better deal in town. This 2 bedroom cottage is in one of Camden's quietest and most desirable neighborhoods, just a few blocks from the harbor, shops and restaurants. More affordable than a B&B and more relaxing!

The town beach is a short stroll away (beach chairs provided) and the cottage features a pleasant deck in the peaceful garden. The spotless, light and airy rooms feature cottage furniture and antiques. Accommodation includes a queen room, and another room with twin beds. Guests access the small room with twin beds by walking through the queen room. Also, accessed from the queen room is a large walk in closet with washer/dryer and a full bath. The main living area is an open room with dining area and also couch/chair area to view television or relax. Off of the main living area is a kitchen, and off the kitchen is access to a back deck.

We personally manage every detail & are close at hand if you need anyting. We are not a rental agency like many on this site! Camden is one of the most picturesque towns on the Maine coast, and combines great scenic beauty with surprising cultural amenities and sophisticated dining. We also have a sweet one bedroom cottage.

Perfect Getaway

Quant little house was just as advertised. Walking distance to town and a great location for a ME coast trip. The bed was a bit soft for my taste, but others may enjoy. I would stay here again.

Great location! Great Host!

We were in town for Thanksgiving week to be with family. The VRBO worked great! Fantastic location, good sheets and towels. We were working remotely with no problems. Simple and highly functional. Check-in/check out were easy. Highly recommend!

Camden Cottage

My family and I had a wonderful 2 weeks in Colleen’s lovely cottage. The location was PERFECT! We walked everywhere. Camden is a sweet little town and everything is easily accessible. We loved this place so much we have already booked our vacation for next year!

Lovely way to start our summer!

This was our second stay in Colleen's adorable Cottage. We had a wonderful two weeks of fun and relaxation. From buying lobsters right off the dock for our own lobster boil to stopping at every ice cream shop along the mid coast, we enjoyed every moment. Hope to be back next year! Great location!

Everything about the cottage was perfect! It is comfortably decorated and equipped with a full kitchen. An added bonus is the washer and dryer. We could not have been happier and will be back again!

Everything we wanted here and more!!

We loved staying here at our “3Acottage”. It’s charming and tasteful with beautiful water colors throughout. The Wayne’s coating wood work and wood floors were beautiful. It was so quiet yet so close to town. We could hear the clock chime from town in the distance! Charming! The walk to town is about 10-15 minutes which was a nice and pleasant walk along the water in some parts. The location is perfect for site seeing in this area of Maine as well. The owner, Colleen, was wonderful! She helped us plan some of our day trips as well as help us with restaurants and schooners in the Camden area. We will be back as soon as we can!! We had a great time and loved every minute of our week here!!

Perfect for a week stay

The location was great for our week long stay in Camden. The cottage has charm and warmth without being cluttered and cutesy. It was quiet so windows could be open at night.

Great Location

The property was well kept in a quiet neighborhood and great location. Colleen was great to work with and very helpful. The only negative is the walk thru nature of the private spaces.

Cozy, well appointed cottage

Close to harbor area, about 10 to 15 easy walk. Cottage is well decorated, but second BR is accessible only from Master BR. Not good.

Enjoyed our temporary home in Camden!

The cottage was in a wonderful location and we loved our stay. it is an old property but has been updated and decorated with special touches. The little nook in the kitchen to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine; the secluded deck off the kitchen for dining or just relaxing;. the air conditioner in the bedroom was helpful. The 10-15 minute stroll downtown to the harbor, where you can just admire the boats or actually take an eco-cruise or a sailboat ride add to the pleasure of this wonderful town.; and of course the great restaurants were all pluses. We appreciated having a washer and dryer available, too. The neighborhood was charming. Most homes had wonderful flower displays and picket fences that harmonized with the beautiful town of Camden.,so you could enjoy the views as you walked into town. It's great to feel like a local, if even for a short time.

Wonderful Location!

We couldn't be happier with our stay. The location was wonderful. We were so close to downtown that we walked there. We also within walking distance to the park with the dog-friendly beach. Colleen allowed us to have our two small dogs with us which made our vacation even better. Colleen was only a text away if we needed her, and she was also across the street. The home was also very close to Chestnut Street. This street allows you to exit/enter Camden via Rockport, which is much nicer than being in the traffic of Route 1. There are a few things you should know. The "master bedroom" is a thoroughfare. The guests in the second bedroom walk through the master. Everyone needing to use the bathroom walk through the master. Anyone doing laundry walk through the master. None of this bothered us at all, but it might bother some. Oh, the second unit (3B) is attached to this home (3A). We could hear a little noise. Again, it didn't bother us, but you should know. Finally, the deck is open to neighbors. There's a home very close on one side, and unit 3B on the other. I could see it bothering some, but it didn't bother us. This place is what my wife class "cute as a bug's ear." We'd stay here again without hesitation.

Great location of a charming Camden cottage.

The owners are so friendly and easy to communicate with. The cottage was perfect for our needs. It was comfortable and well stocked. We loved being able to walk into town. We especially appreciated the deck and yard as we had our dog who loves to sit out in the sun. This was our first time in Camden and we look forward to returning. We loved the hikes, great restaurants, friendly people and beautiful scenery.

This perfect little home is quintessentially “Maine” and screams “Charming Coastal Cottage”.

We arrived at this rental not really knowing what to expect...we were new to Maine and new to HomeWay. What we found almost blew our minds...it was a month-long home for our family on an incredibly quiet street that was just two blocks from the harbor and four blocks from the local bakeries, restaurants, bookstores, coffee shops, art galleries, the public beach and park, and everything else Camden has to offer. The location is insanely convenient! We also realized that we were directly across the street from our host, who dropped in and made sure we had arrived safely and had found everything we needed in her cottage, which is a perfectly preserved 19th-century home that she and her husband updated without removing any of its historical charm. The entire space was incredibly clean and SUPER comfy...our two children found a twin bedroom with boutique-hotel quality sheets, pillows, and comforters. We parents found the same high-level quality bedding in the queen master that also held a sizable walk-in closet, laundry, and tub/shower bathroom. Not necessarily needed, but appreciated, was an air conditioning unit for those very rare hot afternoons (I think we had 4 for the entire month). The kitchen was very well equipped (no dishwasher, but we just told our spoiled children that they were in a living history lesson and handed them the sponge and towel). We ate most evening meals at home and found everything we needed for preparing, serving, and storing. There’s a cute little breakfast nook that we used as a “quiet space” in the mornings. The living/dining room, though, is the real shine of this jewel...gorgeous plank hardwood floors almost mirror-shined and tongue-in-groove bead board walls stained and polished...it was absolutely beautiful! The entire home is thoughtfully decorated with original art, comfy and plush furniture, and antique cabinets, armoires, and tables. There’s a small library of videos to go along with the cable tv and a sideboard with family games that we put to use almost nightly. We enjoyed the flower boxes overflowing with blooms and the wonderful landscaping in front that frames this cozy home. There’s also a sizable deck off of the kitchen with a table/chairs and umbrella that we used a lot...the deck leads to a nice backyard that is kept mown by the host...our little lap dogs really enjoyed that! We hope to return what we have dubbed “our home again” often. It surpassed all of our expectations.

Lovely cottage just blocks from Penobscot Bay.

Great location, quiet and away from traffic, but just blocks to downtown. Perfect spot for relaxing week along the coast. Tree lined streets for walking our older dog. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen (even the perfect pot for cooking lobsters we bought off the docks!), breezy back deck. Owners were close by and very helpful.

We loved the two bedroom cottage. We used the second bedroom to store our suitcases and etc. It was extremely clean and comfortable. Its was a 5 - 10 minute walk to downtown and the harbor. Colleen was absolutely wonderful to work with!!!! And.... she shared a ton of info about the area, food and things to do!!!! I very highly recommend this property!!!!! Colleen is by far the best property owner we have ever worked with!!!!
