About this property

A Wave From It All

Relaxation and privacy like you've never experienced before. Your home away from home includes accommodations for up to 10 (comfortably) and is situated on 2.25 acres on a private road with 100 feet of Lake Huron frontage.

The house features many large windows taking full advantage of the Lake Huron view. The gorgeous sunrises over the water can be experienced from every room in the house, including all four bedrooms. Two private decks and a screened sun porch also await you to take in the sunrise with a cup of coffee or just to sit and listen to the waves rolling in. Rain or shine, every morning the sunrise over Lake Huron is different in its palette and kaleidoscope of colors.

Though in the heart of Rogers City, the home sits on a secluded and wooded site 400 feet from its neighborhood street. Guests feel like they're away from town, but are still within walking distance to Rogers City's restaurants, harbor, and other attractions.

This property is situated less than 500 feet from the Huron Sunrise Trail (an 11-mile paved trail that follows the Lake Huron Shore and connects the city of Rogers City to Hoeft State Park and 40 Mile Point Lighthouse), making it easy to hop on for a walk or bike ride through woods, across rivers, and along the undisturbed Lake Huron shore. The mouth of the Trout River is located just up the shoreline. For the gaming enthusiast, there is an outdoor shuffle board court and indoor ping pong table. Badminton and croquet are also available, along with a full cabinet of games for both kids and adults (for those days that might happen to be a bit less sunny).

The house comes fully stocked with linens, towels, pots, pans, plates, bowls, utensils, and other kitchen supplies.

Memorial Weekend

My family and I returned to Rogers City for a memorial service of the life my husband. The house and location were perfect for my family. The size of the home, the large yard, the location on Lake Huron and the hospitality of the Rogers City community made what could have been a very stressful time a peaceful reminder of what a great place Rogers City is!

Family get away

This house is beautiful and location on Lake Huron. There was plenty of room for each family to have their own bedroom. Lots of area to spread out and be alone if needed. The only thing we needed to bring was good. Lots of supplies for a campfire and s’mores on the beach. Bicycles and tandem bikes to ride. The kitchen is very well stocked to prepare any meal. I definitely recommend this vacation rental!!

Spacious clean property

We enjoyed our stay in Rogers city. The house was clean and spacious and well stocked. The owner was accommodating and accessible. The views were fantastic. The beach area is rocky, not sandy and not great for getting in the water, but my kids enjoyed throwing and skipping rocks. Just a short bike ride away on the bike trail across the street we found a great little beach area perfect for playing and swimming. I would stay here again.

Amazing get away!

We LOVED the property! Definitely the most well-stocked kitchen, nice space for our group of 10, easy access for my dad with some mobility issues (deck steps were sturdy and safe for him). games and game room were an added bonus for our family, and location was nice & quiet :) Our kayaks we brought were easy to get in and out of the water, and the runners in our group loved the trail! We also liked that the property was a close drive to a lot of playgrounds and sandy beaches :) Our family ranged in age from a 4y/o, teens, up to our parents in their 70’s.

Beautiful location, the house was spotless, plenty of towels, toiletries, kitchen items, easy clean up! The host answered quickly. The only disappointment was that we couldn't get the fireplace to work. It is not a deal breaker!!

Loving the Lake!

Our family and friends had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this beautiful home! We enjoyed the gorgeous morning views of Lake Huron! We did rock hunting, sun bathing, and story telling at the fire pit on the beach. The kitchen is spacious and very well stocked with everything you could possibly need; pots, pans, baking dishes, Tupperware, crock pot, really felt like home! Beds were a bit soft but the bedrooms had plenty of space with closets and drawers to store your belongings. House decor is very welcoming. We will definitely rent again!!!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful home! The house is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We loved the screened-in porch for meals, euchre games. The outside deck was perfect for reading and enjoying the view of the lake. We were able to paddle board and kayak from the shoreline. We loves the easy access to the bike trail which we took to the 40 mile lighthouse and into town. We were able to enjoy a bonfire on the beach with the firewood that was provided. The sunrise views in the morning were spectacular!! Jenny was a wonderful hostess and responded quickly to our questions. We are looking forward to returning to this beautiful home next summer.

Amazing!! I stayed at this rental with my bridal party for my wedding weekend. It had plenty of space and beautiful views. Perfect Summer Getaway

My husband and I, along with some family friends, wanted to start the summer off right by booking a beach house once our kids were out of school. We had two families with multiple children we had to account for so we took quite a while searching for options across Michigan. After about a month of searching we settled on A Wave From It All mainly because of the size and location. The owner reached out prior to our stay to fill us in on local attractions, eateries and grocery stores and checked to see if we needed anything particular that she could provide prior to our arrival. Once we arrived we were blown away at how perfect everything was: it was very clean, stocked with any household item you could imagine and absolutely beautiful inside and out. The kids promptly claimed the lower level, while the adults took the master rooms with attached baths. The bike paths located steps away from the private drive were a great way to start the day before settling on the beach to soak up the sun. The large kitchen allowed all the adults to mingle and cook every evening without stepping over each other. Every room in the house has a spectacular view to watch the sunrise in the morning and the waves crash all afternoon. The bonfire was used daily, with the firewood even being provided. This owner truly thought of everything! We had such a great time we were discussing what dates to book this property again before we even left and the kids shed a few tears when it was time to say goodbye.

Sea Glass Heaven on Huron

Our family had the pleasure of staying at this lovely cottage over Labor Day weekend. It is by far better and bigger than the photos depict! This experience was the most like staying at a friend's or relative's property than a rental. The kitchen was the most well-stocked of any place we've rented over the last five years (8 cottages). The areas in the cottage that have been updated have been updated tastefully and well. Note to owner: When the time comes to renovate the master en suite bath, please keep the mauve toilet, shower and tub! The bikes were a wonderful bonus and the bike trail was exceedingly scenic and enjoyable. The beach is rocky, but it is a treasure trove of sea glass and fossils (including a Petoskey stone). My only suggestions would be; Upgrade the outdoor seating at beach and on cottage decks Get the fireplace working! The owner was great in her communication and accommodated a couple of special requests. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful cottage. YHWH Bless You : )

Great stay in Michigan!

The property was excellent. We planned on 4 but complications resulted in only my wife and I. Even 8 would have been comfortable. Unlike some properties, I didn't have problems or feel compelled to fix anything. We reserved again for next year.

Great house for a small, active family

Suitable for a nuclear family or two couples with young kids, but not for larger groups or families with teens. 8 of the “12” sleeping spaces are in the basement, which was too cold for comfort even with all the windows open on a hot day, and there’s only one bathroom downstairs. Plus the quality of the downstairs bedrooms and bathroom are significantly lower than the upstairs rooms, which would make it hard to share this house equitably with another family. Consider it an 8 person rental max (4 adults + 4 kids with everybody sharing beds.) Kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook in, which is important because there aren’t many restaurants nearby. The screened porch and deck were pleasant places to eat or relax. Lots to do at the house or nearby (biking, swimming, shuffleboard, museums, golf, ping pong, lighthouse, bonfires.) Plenty of entertainment for an active family for a week. But only one tiny TV, so don’t count on family movie night as one of your activities. Beach is very rocky, so bring water shoes for swimming.

Residence was everything we were expecting and then some. Right on the lake. Firepit on the lake was the best. Jennifer (owner) was very helpful and easy to work with. 7 adults and 4 young grandkids had a great time. Thank you! Roger and Barb
