Beautiful well appointed cabin

Beautiful cabin is nestled in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from everything. Home is comfortable and well appointed with every little detail for a comfortable weekend. Beds are comfortable, wifi is strong and floor plan is perfect for a family or two couples. We loved the cozy fireplace. Hosts were so kind by leaving is a bottle of wine and super responsive over text. Have shared the listing link with a few friends. Already planning our next trip!

Fantastic Home

We had an awesome weekend at Dovetails. It was our 39th anniversary and we couldn’t have had a better place to celebrate. A beautiful log home that is private and quiet yet very convenient to the area attractions. We look forward to returning soon!

Dovetails is a wonderful log home in a Flat Rock neighborhood. We enjoyed the easy access to all area points of interests, restaurants, and entertainment. The quality of construction is exceptional as are the furnishings.

Peaceful retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. It is so quiet and peaceful that you feel far away from everything yet it is within 5 minutes of restaurants, shops and parks. It was very clean and our bed was super comfortable. We loved hanging out on the porches and listening to the sounds of nature. We can't wait to return!

Perfect Setting

This home is ideal with all the amenities anyone could want.The home is settled among the trees and the privacy is wonderful eventhough it is in a conveniently located neighborhood. The unique architectural features throughout the home and the large fireplace are very cozy . It is convenient to the Flat Rock Playhouse which is a must do along with a visit to Carl Sandburg's home. I highly recommend this home

Beyond our Expectations

We have been visiting the Flat Rock/Hendersonville area for 30+ years and have stayed in many, many places but this was absolutely one of the best! The "cabin" is so much more than that. Perfectly laid out for 2 adult couples with 2 primary suites and attached bathrooms for total privacy. The woodsy setting, rustic furnishings and great deck make you feel you are tucked away in the woods but only short drives to terrific restaurants, the Flat Rock Playhouse, cute shops, walking trails and more. Our 2 week stay could not have been better. I would be remiss if I did not mention that the owners are unbelievably responsive and truly committed to making sure our needs were met and that our stay was better than expected. We love that they are lovers of dogs and made our Sadie and Cooper so welcomed. We will stay again if we return with friends.

Log "tree" house

Beautiful log construction, well appointed, home with great open decks and screened porches. Beautiful sitting room with vaulted ceiling. Close to provisioning points, Hendersonville, wineries, everything you want. Great host. Because of the backyard drop off, you're looking into the trees and birds, like a treehouse. Luxurious one.

Property is amazing! Split floor plan with main living area between the two bedrooms. Rear deck is large and inviting. Wrap around front porch to both bedrooms with their own comfortable chairs to enjoy either early morning coffe or a glass of wine sunset. On my list to retun!!!

Rustic Luxury - 5 Stars

Dovetails is a beautiful place. The craftsmanship that went into the home gives it a feeling of rustic luxury. It is also beautifully decorated and landscaped. I particularly love the layout of two master suites on each side, very well appointed. Everything is well maintained and very clean. The hosts were top notch in their communication, and they added special touches making us feel like welcomed and valued guests. Highly recommend!

Dovetails is a beautiful cabin in a great location!

We enjoyed our recent stay in this wonderful cabin! It was clean, so comfortable and the design is well thought out . The location is within walking distance of the village of Flat Rock, but it is so peaceful and quiet that it gives you a feeling of privacy and being away from it all. The owners are so welcoming and quick to respond if you need anything without being at all intrusive. We took day trips to Brevard, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, and Asheville so the location is great if you are looking to see some of the surrounding area. Thank you to the Hunters, Dovetails was a great place for our vacation and we definitely hope to return!

Perfect, Private, Immaculate, Going Back!

The home is immaculate and was the best VRBO home we have stayed in. Walking distance to restaurants/Carl Sandberg estate, easy drive to Hendersonville, and the owners are wonderful. The home is well supplied and has all you need during your stay. Beds are extremely comfortable and the furniture is very nice. The neighborhood is peaceful and the home is very private which is great. We had 16 inches of snow during our stay and just built a fire and enjoyed watching the snow fall. Being snowed in was a blessing in this home….. We will be back no question and had great memories and look to add to those again!

Everything we could ask for and more!

This property was amazing and we will definitely be back! The location was wonderful. The property was clean and thoughtfully set up with all the extras. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels. Hairdryers in the bathrooms. Firewood stocked for the beautiful fire pit. Extra pet bowls for the dogs. My daughters (age 11 and 15) loved the screened in porch with string lights. We played card games and board games stocked in the living room (Man Bites Dog was such a hit we had to order one for our house!). We enjoyed the coffee table books (photo book with the dog photos was especially loved!). Very comfortable with easy access to everything. We walked into town through the trails to get breakfast. Can’t say anything negative. We will definitely rent again!
