Kürzlich renoviert in einem lustigen, tropischen Thema, Amberjack befindet sich auf der Southard Street in der exklusiven Wohnanlage Truman Annex, ganz in der Nähe von Harry Trumans Little White House und mitten im Herzen der Altstadt Key West; ein toller Ort, um die Oktober Fantasy Fest Parade zu sehen, wie es seinen Weg vorbei an der Haustür webt. Amberjack ist nur wenige Gehminuten von Mallory Dock, wo der Sonnenuntergang jeden Tag gefeiert wird: Duval Street mit seinen Geschäften, Restaurants und Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten und Fort Zachary Beach, wo es ein Café am Strand und atemberaubende Schnorcheln. In weniger als 2 Minuten zu Fuß gibt es einen Deli / Convenience Store, Coffee Tea Café, Green Parrot Bar und Eaton Bikes, wo man Fahrräder täglich oder wöchentlich zu einem vernünftigen Preis mieten kann. Wenn Radfahren nicht für Sie ist und Sie nicht wollen, ein Auto zu mieten, Piraten-Scooter (gegenüber der Green Parrot Bar) wird Sie ein Elektroauto mieten. Der Wohnbereich verfügt über ein gemütliches Sofa, das sich in ein luxuriöses Queen-Bett mit einem Deckenventilator oben, zwei weitere bequeme Stühle, ein Flatscreen-TV / DVD, CD-Stereoanlage, Ipod-Dockingstation und Wi Fi Broadband öffnet. Es gibt eine voll ausgestattete Küche und einen Esstisch, der vier mit zwei bequemen Hockern an der Küchenbar sitzt. Die Terrasse ist mit Tisch, Stühlen, Sonnenschirm und Elektrogrill ausgestattet; perfekt für Al Fresco Essen auf einem balmy Key West Abend. Außengrill Der Gemeinschaftspool ist nur 25 Fußstapfen vom Terrassentor entfernt. Im Obergeschoss finden Sie die Waschküche mit stapelbarer Waschmaschine / Trockner und zwei Schlafzimmer, eine Königin und ein Zwilling (die leicht in einen König umgewandelt werden können) mit eigenem Bad, TV und Balkon mit Tischen und Stühlen.

Time for a refresh!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is time for a re-fresh of this unit. Most everything is original. There are some major and minor maintenance issues. One of the major issues is wood rot around the door and windows in the back bedroom.One of the minor issues is the cabinet door below the kitchen sink almost falling off.The front bedroom is especially noisy with foot and vehicle noise on Southard. The front bedroom door to the porch door does not close tightly which allows some of the noise in. Replacing the doors and windows with new hurricane doors and windows would help some. The front bed itself isn't the most comfortable and should be replaced.The stair carpeting is worn and your bare feet will show dirt from walking on them. The unit itself is a very nice but being over 30 years old, it is showing it's age and needs to be updated.

Reviewer Comments: We’ve stayed in several townhouses in the same price point and general location, unfortunately this one was the smallest and most in need of updating as well as some basic maintenance. If you’re looking for something a little more quiet, this is not the rental for you. Being at the entrance sounds like a great idea, but it is very noisy early in the morning with numerous garbage and work trucks rolling in and out.The cleaning staff did a great job and as always Compass Realty makes the whole process easy.

Very Clean

We love to stay in the Truman Annex and the Amberjack townhouse's layout is ideal for two couples or a family. The unit was VERY clean and the furnishings are nice. The fixtures are dated and could, maybe should, be updated. The only complaint we have is that the traffic, morning and night, on Southard Street is very noisy and will affect those sleeping in the upstairs front bedroom.

Great location!

The property was very nice and very well located. We didn't even rent a car, there is a nice bike rental place 50 meters from the front door. Easy ride/walk to the beach. Easy walk to Duvall (the main drag). Much has been made about the A/C. I understand the frustration but with ceiling fans, 75 was very enjoyable the whole week. My family highly recommends this house and world definitely stay here again.

Air conditioning needs repair. Toddler size toilets.

Nice property, excellent location, needs some upgrades. I will not go into the good as you can see that on the property listing. What you wont see is this taken from the Compass property management welcome letter paragraph 4 {Please keep the AC above 74: otherwise, you will freeze the system, you will become warm, you will get cranky, you will call our office, you will wait for the service tech and you will be charged for a service call to repair it, no exceptions.} This is not normal. I have lived in Florida over 40 years and purchased and repaired a large hand full of air conditioners. The AC unit in this rental needs repair to the condenser to stop the freezing issue. The result of not repairing the AC is that the property will feel very damp, and uncomfortable. This will also eventually lead to mold and other issues. The proper way to handle this issue would be to properly service and repair the AC, not to threaten guests against using the AC. We ended up making the best of our slightly cool and sticky rental with hope that future guests will not have to deal with this problem. Also please replace the child size toilets

We were disappointed with Amberjack. The biggest disappointment was cleanliness, specifically the floors. We did not feel comfortable not wearing shoes either in the house or on the outdoor patios. The patio's were totally disappointing. We had to clean all of the front patio furniture before using. The outdoor patio tiles were so dirty that there was no way to enjoy being outside without shoes. We own a rental in northern Michigan and the cleanliness of the outside is crucial. Our customers come to be outdoors not indoors. It should be no different in Florida. Also the knives in the kitchen. They were all so dull that I could not cut an apple...sounds trite but at the price we are paying we should have half way decent knives.

Thanksgiving stay

My family and I stayed at this property for the week golf thanksgiving. Easy check in and check out, area safe and in walking distance to everything! House was clean could use air conditioner vents to be cleaned and bathroom fan did not work other than that it was a very nice townhouse really enjoyed our time here!

Our stay

There are some areas in this house that are in disrepair and need some attention some light switches are broken and the toilets are running the back deck is totally starting to rot in. it’s very soft to step on we were afraid to use that very much. The toilet seats need to be replaced. Other than that it’s a beautiful home it just needs a little bit of attention The bushes and shrubs around the air conditioner all need to be trimmed back out-of-the-way because I’m sure that’s not good on the electric bill. Nice week with family

We had a wonderful time at condo. Linens were nice quality. Water pressure was great! Missed having a grill. A tad noisy due to location of condo. Easy walk to anything! We rented bikes which made the trip even more enjoyable.
