House was very rustic and the view of the water was splendid , would highly recommend a stay here. Need to bring own cleaning supplies, trash bags etc, a few of the kitchen appliances need to be updated
Property was beautiful clean and functional! Further upon some confusion that had me pay a pet bill for non-existent pets I was refunded the payment immediately!
Our family of 4 stayed at the cabin for Spring break and it could not have been better! This cabin is absolutely beautiful and perfect for families with kids. I was worried about the road after reading some other reviews but it was not busy at all. The river is close enough but not so close that kids can’t play outside safely. We spent every afternoon playing in the water and canoeing. The back porch is screened in and was the perfect spot for us to play board games and spend the evenings. The bedrooms have beautiful views and were incredibly comfortable. The side/front porch was a perfect spot for morning coffee and had the coziest rocking chairs. My kids cried the whole drive down the mountain when we left saying they miss the cabin. We can not wait to book again!
We had a great time on weekend get away. With renting the cabin being a highlight. It is feet from the West Fork of Little River with a view from the screened porch (our favorite area). This home was very clean and we had zero issues. There are a few quirky things like the bathroom areas are a little tight. Kitchen is a little tight as well. But the extra room in dinning area, living room, and outdoor areas make up for this. We also appreciated the simple check out list. The only little warning was the neighbors outdoor dogs (which the owner doesn’t have any control over) they were very loud night one but by the next morning they calmed down and it was no problem. We would definitely stay again!
My sister & I brought my mom on a weekend getaway on what would have been my parents anniversary. When we arrived at the cabin, we couldn’t get the code to work so I called Susan. Without hesitation, she came right over & let us in. The cabin was immaculate! The beds were so comfortable & everything that we needed was there! I will certainly stay again!
Had the Most Amazing and Peaceful weekend away with friends. The cabin/home was Unbelievable!!! Even more Phenomenal than in the pics!! Checkin was super easy! Will definitely recommend!!
We needed a stay while we waited to close on our house and this was perfect! The fireplace was relaxing and the porch was our second living room. Beds were super comfy and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook whatever you want!
Our grandchildren already want to go back. Great location for hikers kayaking and site seeing. We will definitely stay again.

Great house...awful location
The cabin was really nice, well cleaned and well stocked. The drawbacks for me were that the house is located about 10 yds away from what seems to be a major thoroughfare for cars, atv's and pedestrian traffic. Not to mention, the neighbors dog howls ALL night!
Great size for a cabin. Property is landscaped nicely. Only yards from river.

About the host
Hosted by Susan Collins
I now live in Baton Rouge, La. but was raised only 17 miles from the cabin in Fort Payne, Al. I love the mountain and built the Guest House so I could be close to those who visited to enjoy their company when they are my personal friends and family but to give them their own space. This mountain is the most beautiful place on earth to me.
Why they chose this property
I originally looked at brow property but when I saw this property I was hooked. 6 acres, huge River Frontage, Dock to load and unload your boat. Close to everything I need yet truly relaxing, surrounded by nature.
What makes this property unique
Both Cabins on the property have large screened in porches furnished to just Rock or enjoy an outdoor lunch or dinner.
The grounds are landscaped with Rhododendron, Azaleas, and Dogwood, all natural to the mountain.
Your Dog will surely understand that he/she is on vacation with all the squirrels and birds they can chace.
You are within minutes of your daily excursion and you will never run out of interesting activities.
