Some life jackets are provided. The kids (and some adults) will also enjoy hanging out in the tree house and swinging. Enjoy a campfire on the beach each night while watching the sunset.
Across the lake is state forest with plenty of trails for your 4-wheelers and dirt bikes. In the winter, the snow mobile trails are easily accessible as well. Trails will take you to St. Helen and all of the trails available in the area. Fishing on the lake is fantastic. There are endless Bluegill and the occasional Bass or Pike that can be caught right off the dock all summer long.

The kitchen is fully equipped including a coffee maker, toaster and blender. There is also a grill on the deck making it easy to cook out (propane included). Please note, there is no dishwasher. A washer and dryer is available. Please bring your own laundry soap.
There are plenty of games to play along with a huge Jenga set. There is one TV with a DVD/Blueray player. Wifi has been recently added along with a Smart TV. The lake is typically quiet with the occasional jet ski or fishing boat going by.
There are no boat rentals on the lake. Also, there is no boat launch area. However, across the lake there is a campground with a dirt area where you can get a fishing boat in the water.

There’s a reason this home has such great reviews. The location and amenities make the perfect combo for your stay. Grateful we found this little gem in the woods!
We had a great time! The lake was great! We had fun swimming, fishing, kayaking and just hanging out. House was very nice with lots of fun board games.
Every year my brothers and i take a week long family vacation. This year was great we enjoyed the house with plenty of room for all, kayaks, lake and beachfront, had plenty of room or nerf wars and traditional hide and seek games. The only thing was no internet and phones did not get good service, so make sure to bring dvd for raining day's.
This was the perfect Christmas Gift that I could give my family!
I am a single Mom with a Daughter/ husband a 22 month old and 2 bonus sons (15yo &12 yo) And my Son/ Wife and their 15 month old. The home was perfect and the shallow beach was
We stayed here for a yearly family week vacation (ages 4 years old thru 86 years old) and had a great time. The cabin was very clean and very well stocked (best stocked with linen, towels, and kitchen needs we've ever seen). Updated linen, blankets and furnature impressed everyone, as did the many bedrooms and sleeping locations (kids loved the bed on the enclosed porch/dining area lol). The lake is small, but so peaceful, great fishing (lots of bluegill and big bass) and perfect for kayaking and nightly fires. Communication with the owner was top notch and very quick. All in the family vote to stay again.
We choose this property to entertain Grandparents, Parents, Siblings and Cousins ranging in age 6 to 67 for some much needed family bonding.
The basketball court, treehouse, good fishing from the dock and swimming were an intricate part of the selection process.
However, prior to allowing entrance to the tree house, an adult inspected it and found numerous raccoon poops on the front porch.
By the second day we were overwhelmed with ticks on our body and in our hair.
We are a family that loves the outdoors. But the brush in the yard and long beach grass proved to be a major tick breeding ground. We spent countless hours combing through Granddaughters waist long hair for peace of mind. Several family members found the critters on them.
We enjoyed the great fishing from the dock. Youngsters caught and released several large fish, including large mouth bass and a large pike.
The cabin was spacious and very clean.
The use of rowboat, canoe and kayaks was an added pleasurable bonus.
The basketball court got daily use and kept the older boys entertained.
The swimming was FIVE STAR for our Granddaughters aged 5 and 8 years! The water is just the right depth, with a dock to jump off and a sandy beach and sandy lake bottom.
We enjoyed the beachside firepit in the evenings but found it awkwardly too close to the neighbors dock. Having to look at and converse with them on their way to their pontoon boat as they embark for evening boat rides.
We would enjoy this property again if the brush were cut down and the beach grass mowed short to discourage ticks.
We had a wonderful time. The cabin was everything stated with plenty of space. We loved the decor. Our hosts promptly answered all of our questions. Our three-generation family had a lot of fun together.
This was a great place to have the family together and be able to fish, kayak, swim, hike, have bonfires and the house is beautiful big and lots of space. We all enjoyed the stay. Thank you so much!
The house was perfect! There were a lot of little touches to make your stay nicer. I would definitely recommend it as a great vacation for family and friends.
We are a group of 8 long time girl friends. This cottage was a perfect fit for all of us - plenty of comfortable sleeping arrangements, lots of space to move around and spread out. The cottage is a wonderful place to stay! Owners are very pleasant and communicate quickly with your questions. We will be booking for next summer very soon!
We enjoyed our stay at Loon Lane Lodge . It was very peaceful, smaller than expected, but the cottage was large and wonderful! It is a bit far from town for those needed items such as gas for boat and ice for coolers, that would be one thing we would have preferred. It is a very weedy area, but possibly a protected wet land area. Sand on beach was nice but swimming area is very very limited. We did enjoy the kayaks and row boat that were provided. Though we were a large group, the cabin provided many rooms to find peace and quiet as needed. Peaceful and restful describes this vacation home best.
My family spent a week at this cabin and loved our stay. It was absolutely so relaxing and peaceful. The cabin sits very secluded and the lake is calm most of the time. Watching the loons, hummingbirds, and woodpeckers were so fun. We used the kayaks and row boat which made our stay even better. Just a heads up, someone did make a homemade anchor for the row boat but I brought my own as well. The lake has a ton of bass and we caught 2 lb bass right off the dock. Would recommend and want to stay there again!
Loved the cabin, beach was amazing! Lake is beautiful and peaceful! Had so much fun kayaking, swimming, enjoying campfires on the beach and relaxing and unplugging with family! Great place to stay if you are looking for a quiet getaway off the beaten path. Communication with homeowners was great. Would definitely recommend and will return for future visits!
The second year was just as pleasant as the last time. The kids enjoyed themselves just as much. Staying a whole week allow us to relax more and not feel as rushed with wanting to get all the activities in. We did miss the sandy beach area but made up for it by hunting for frogs. The extended dock was vital for making it an enjoyable experience for all.
Loved everything about this cabin. The location was great. It was off the beaten path, in the woods, with a beautiful lake view. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. The fishing was really good, we caught Bass, Pike, and Perch. Would very much like to return again next summer.
The cabin was beautiful, clean and cozy. The lake was wonderful and the property was kid friendly, our children had a blast and us adults had a truly fun and relaxing time. We would highly recommend this cabin and will definitely be back again some day!
This is our second year coming to this wonderful home as a family vacation. It has everything you could possibly want in a vacation home on the lake! We love the kayaks and the nice shallow, sandy beach. The home is beautiful, and has plenty of space for everyone to stretch out.
We will most definitely be back!
We had a great stay in our cabin at Richfield Township. The lake was great for paddleboarding, kayaking, and tubing and the Cabin had all needed amenities.
We really enjoyed relaxing on the beach area and taking in the stars at night!
Our stay was amazing. We enjoyed the swimming, taking out the various boats provided, campfires by the lake. The campground across the lake and the island provided a great scenic backdrop.
Excellent property, everything was wonderful. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. This rental was a wonderful experience in every way. The family had a great time and we plan on returning soon!

Two families bought Loon Lane Lodge in 2010 and have renovated it over the years. As our kids all have gotten older and busier with sports, we decided to rent the cabin in 2017 so others can enjoy this amazing, relaxing vacation spot.
What makes this property unique
The cabin features great view from the screened in porch. Loons, Bald Eagles and even swans swim by all summer long. The lake is smaller and not busy with loud speed boats. In 20 minutes you can be to civilization with grocery stores, restaurants and even an outlet mall.
