Cute vintage cabin that was pet friendly and close to everything in Cloudcroft. The kitchen had everything we needed and the deck was great.

We had the most relaxing and peaceful stay in Cloudcroft! The cabin was just what we needed - close to town, quiet neighborhood, large deck outside for enjoying the cool weather.

We had such a nice stay at this location. I have stayed at many vacation rentals. This one has everything you need. I took extra pans and cooking utensils and left them in the car.Do prepare for a sharp driveway. Angle into it and it is better. No air conditioning was no problem. Use the fans!And, if no dishwasher is an issue for you, use paper. We did. Clean, restful and a great place to stay.

Disappointed

No cookware except 2 skillets.No dishwasher(who knows if the dishes were washed properly). Driveway was so washed out we had to passby and turn around so we could come at it at an angle. Bathtub had black hair floating in it! EXTRA expenses almost doubled the cost. Won't be back.

Excellent 3 days and nights.

Wonderful opening impression of the immediate area as we saw about 10 elk within a few hundred feet of the property as we arrived. We had read a complaint about the property by someone who said it was dirty with bugs and had things that needed to be fixed. We had no problems with the house and the management staff was very courteous and helpful. We will share our experiences with friends who are planning a visit to the area.

Dirty Cabin

The cabin was filthy, also very dark and dreary on the inside. The deck was not covered, so we were unable to sit outside during a rain shower. We were extremely disappointed with the whole experience. The cabin is not private… houses directly across the street. The living room has sheer curtains. Totally see through. Would not recommend.

The spiders & some kind of insects were pretty bad made sleeping hard. We moved from bedroom

They need to spray for spiders, insects, & mice. We never saw mice but heard them. It was the spiders climbing on bed, couch, that was nerve racking-other than that it was a beautiful area

A Tired Cabin in a lovely town.

We were disappointed that property was very close to highway noise and looking at unattractive motel units rather than forest. Condition of worn, stained linens, window sills packed with bugs, loose shower doors, toilet alternately sticking, didn’t ruin our enjoyment of the town, but never again in the Reed Cabin

Quiet mountain getaway

Cozy cabin within the village of Cloudcroft. Close to everything. The area was quiet and the cabin had everything need for my stay. The property manager was responsive when I had questions.

Perfect Cabin, better than price but manager forgot to email access details

The place was tastefully done, cozy, walking distance to town stuff while being set back enough in the woods to enjoy. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we wanted. Would rent again for sure. The management failed to send us access information or respond to our message for hours after the contractual sign in however. I had to call and wait with some company for a while before the representative then emailed me several hours after we were supposed to have access. Make sure to stay on top of them if you do this cabin.

Reed cabin

Property was nice. Everything was great except the parking. The driveway wasn’t shoveled nor did it have salt on it. If I didn’t have 4WD I don’t know where I would have parked. The balcony wasn’t shoveled either

Cozy cabin in the woods

We would stay here again. Very close to town. The mule deer would come onto the property every morning. Plenty of room for three plus two dogs. You could sleep 3 on the sleeper sofa and two in each bed plus the recliner. The beds were very comfy. After traveling 14 hours to get to Cloudcroft we wanted a shower and the first thing we noticed was a wad of hair in the shower which told us it hadn't been cleaned. I found some cleanser and cleaned it myself. That was the only thing I found wrong.

Needs a little light on the subject

The house was neat, clean and well stocked. However, low wattage lightbulbs, dark interior, and scarcity of lamps left us feeling like we’re in a cave. I did not have enough light to read by, taking a shower was like standing in a cave. (Shower doors don’t slide easily and wall unit over toilet need to be affixed to the wall for stability). The kitchen too was very dim. Just a little more light would give the entire place an uplift.

Extremely disappointed!

The cabin was extremely dirty. There are stains all over the carpet in bedroom. Spider webs everywhere and didn't look like anything had been dusted it months,there was dust and trash under the beds and dresser. They let your pet stay but still charge for support dogs, against the law to do that. I was upset I had to pay a cleaning fee for a dirty cabin. I won't stay there again!! .

Reed Cabin

All went as planed with our stay. The booking process is easy and very straight forward. This was our second trip to Reed Cabin. This cabin is located on the edge of Cloudcroft. Location is 5 Star. This is a spacious two bedroom with one bath. The bathroom is clean but a little dated. I would recommend changing out the rug in there as it was same one from last year and could stand to go. The garage downstairs is accessible from the inside and has a nice washer and dryer that is handy. There is no WIFI at this cabin but there are several WIFI hot spots within a easy drive or walk. All in all a good place to stay and well priced for size and location. Terrie, your point of contact in Cloudcroft in always very responsive to any request you may have. Once again a great trip.
