Pua Melia is a spacious 2600 Sq Ft 3 bedroom office space with queen bed, 3 full baths, fully furnished home in a quiet cul-de-sac located minutes from Kailua town. Take a walk just a few minutes down the street to find Magic Sands Beach and Kahalu'u Beach Park for a great snorkeling experience. Easy access to all the sights and activities that Kona has to offer.

Enjoy ocean views as you watch the sunset from the lanai or while you cook in our fully equipped kitchen. A BBQ is available for your use.

Our private pool is the perfect place to cool off after a day of exploring or great just for a day of lounging at home. The yard is a great space for outdoor games or suntanning and very private..

Christmas in paradise

Description of the property was excellent. Having access to the beach supplies was very helpful. Walking distance to beach was very nice.

Great location, nice place. No A/C!

We loved nearly every aspect of this place. Beautiful house with nicely stocked kitchen and ammenities. Lots of room and nice pool, which was so refreshing! It was a short walk to the beach and a couple places to eat. Good location to airport and other attraction places if you have a car. We had to Uber to house until the rest of our party arrived and it was about $35 so not bad. The biggest draw back of this place (which I am not sure how I overlooked it) was there is no A/C. My husband was pretty upset with that. There are lots of fans available but that just did cut it if your used to sleeping cool. There were a few middle of the night pool dips to offset it. Tolerable but we would have booked something else had we known. Other than that a great neighborhood and a good time was had.

Ironman experience

This house is so lovely and in such a great location. We stayed during the ironman race and enjoyed every minute. The Magic Sands beach is a very short walk and you can see the ocean from the upstairs windows. Definitely recommended

Amazing Vrbo

Our stay was great. Only a few things not working. The home was beautiful. Minutes away from all the highlights of our trip. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a Vrbo in Kona Hawaii.

Beautiful property and a great location

The house was very clean, along with the pool and yard. The location is great and within walking distance of two very nice beaches. One is an incredible beach for snorkeling and the other was great for boogie boarding. I would stay here again.

Paradise!

We had the most amazing stay! The house has everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our stay. Julie was really great with communication and was happy to accommodate our requests. We were a little nervous there was no A/C on the property however it wasn't needed, the house has big fans throughout plus additional wall fans. The pool was all you needed to cool down, star feature!!Beautiful property, fab location. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, highly recommend!

Beautiful home - Great Location!!!

The home was beautiful and wonderfully laid out. It was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Location was great. Host was super nice and easy to get ahold of. Our family had a great time and would totally stay here again. The posting does not give it justice. It had for total bedrooms that were all great. Two living spaces. The lanai was outstanding and the pool was huge! Loved it.

Beautiful home with pool and ocean view!

Clean and well maintained property only a few minutes walk from Magic Sands beach. Our group of 8 adults stayed there in comfort. Although it is not air conditioned, there are ceiling fans in almost every room and even outside on the lanai. Beds were very comfortable and everyone in our group was happy with the home and the location. We recommend it, highly!

Nice place

We enjoyed staying in the house, it took us a while to get used to no AC, as it gets later it also got cooler. Having the windows opened you can hear the neighbors' conversations and various birds so you have to get up early.

Lovely home

Beautiful and spacious, lovely pool, stocked with everything needed for our stay, quality beach towels and chairs,umbrellas, well stocked kitchen,comfy beds Family of 7, the host took care of some small issues such as a cloudy pool and squeaky fan, Which she had made us aware of before check in Just an FYI, there is no hot tub as listed on VRBO, It’s a soaking bathtub in the master bedroom, and house is not air conditioned so to keep it cool all the windows and sliders must be open, might make some folks uneasy sleeping downstairs on the ground level. One member of my party had a difficult time tolerating the heat The house isn’t listed with AC, and I never thought to check Overall it’s a great place, I would stay here again If traveling to Kona

Perfect for our stay!

We absolutely loved this house. It was perfect for our family, which included my husband and I and 4 adult children. The kitchen had everything we needed, except a scale for weighing out our coffee beans! We appreciated the misc. spices (except no garlic) and the plastic wrap so we didn't have to buy those items. There were plenty of leftover containers, too. The lanai and pool area were our favorite spots.........I don't think we ever ate inside! The pool area and yard are so nicely done and well-maintained. We enjoyed the pool after a busy day out and about. Other pluses include the clothes line, faucet to rinse off after visiting the beach (short, easy walk away),the first aid kit and misc. sun products that I'm guessing previous guests have left, and the washer and dryer. Our only suggestions would be a few more hooks in the bathrooms and a bottle of some kind of cleaning product for wiping down the kitchen counters. We would definitely recommend this property for a stay in the Kona area.

Beautiful House!

We had a great time and communication with Julie was great. The house is big and comfortable, plenty of room for all of us, both inside and out. The upstairs kitchen and lanai was great any time of day, plenty of breeze, birds chirping, and a beautiful view of palms, papayas, banana trees, and others. Even though it was in a cul-de-sac with neighbors all around, it was quiet and felt very private, from upstairs, downstairs porch, the pool deck, and the lawn. The amenities were also very nice. Plenty of rooms and chairs to spread out or hang out together. We made use of just about everything provided in the closet under the stairs - beach chairs, cooler, cornhole boards, ponchos (for the volcano tour and a coffee farm - evidently it rains there a lot). The pool is big and it was great to have that when we weren't at the beach, or just wanted to relax at the house. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas to hang around at the pool any time of day. There are plenty of beach towels/mats, which cuts down on luggage. The 'leave-behinds' were a great addition, and it's nice to be able to leave things behind for the next guest so it doesn't get thrown away. Some refrigerator items, lots of spices for cooking, plenty of things in the pantry, laundry soap, bug spray, sunscreen, etc. We made use of some things we forgot to bring, and left some things we had to buy but did not want to take home. The kitchen is large and well-equipped; we cooked many meals and had everything we needed.

Lovely Stay

We had stayed here with my Wife's family as well as mine (total of 8 people). The 4 bedrooms was accommodating along with the 3 full bathrooms. The master bedroom is quite spacious where the 2nd bedroom with a king bed is quite a bit smaller (hard to tell from photos). The stay was nice and an easy walk to Magic Sands Beach if you are lucky enough to be there when there is sand.

Great House

I am so glad I found this house. We had two families of parents and teenagers. Everyone was able to have their own space when desired. The house is as advertised. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and we cooked many meals during out time there. The communication with the host was top notch, thank you. We didn't have any problems but I know they would have been addressed immediately. The host went out of her way to ensure we had what we need. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Kona visit for Wedding preparations and celebration at Old Kona Airport

We absolutely loved staying here. It was just what we needed to prep and prepare for my daughters wedding. It was also a nice retreat for relaxing in between running around and prepping flowers for the two events, ceremony and reception. Loved the fully stocked kitchen so we could save money by preparing meals. The pool was so relaxing and we enjoyed a dip in the pool even after the son went down as the pool lit up nicely at night. All the fans throughout the home made it confortable to enjoy the trade winds when we opened the windows. Thanks for helping us to create wonderful memories with our family. Definitely would love to stay again.

Wonderful Kona Home

We stayed in this home for a family trip, 7 adults and a 4 month old baby. Wonderful set up with a great pool. Enough beach chairs and umbrellas for us to take to the beach. No air conditioning but plenty of fans. The pool was a highlight of the trip.! Great, well set up kitchen. Nice outdoor living on both floors. We spent a considerable amount of time on the lanai off the kitchen. The neighborhood is wonderful and quiet. We will definitely stay again!

It has been our dream to have a house in Hawaii for many years. I grew up on the island of Maui. When I was 19 I left my family to visit a friend in Canada and I met then married my husband. We decided it would be best to raise our family in Canada but my heart always remained in Hawaii.
After many years of looking we finally found and purchased our land. We spent the next year building our dream. Eventually we would love to spend our winters in Hawaii and our summers back in Canada.
In the meantime we love that others can enjoy our home.
It is a comfortable, private home close to the town of Kailua.
We hope each and every person enjoys staying in our home as much as we do.
