Heartland House was hand-built in 1949 by the owners after a fire destroyed the original house. This well-loved and cared-for house has seen only 4 owners in its life. Perfect for families or large groups, enjoy 2 acres of spacious grounds, six large bedrooms, living room, family room, gourmet kitchen, plush furnishing and luxury amenities, such as a fully equipped kitchen, wood fireplace, wi-fi, cable tv and central a/c. Heartland house is a 15-minute walk or quick bike ride to downtown Saugatuck via the bike path located at the entrance to the property. Heartland House is sure to be a memorable place for your gathering of family and friends.

Fantastic, as always!

We’ve been having our multi generation women’s gathering here for several years. Everything in the house is set up perfectly for a large gathering and we love it. The location is perfect to walk downtown or to just hang out on the deck or at the fire pit.

Wonderful Getaway

Spent our annual girls getaway at this lovely home and had awesome time. Everyone loved it! Location is great, close to everything in town but in quiet private neighborhood. Large porches and yard with plenty of parking, fantastic well stocked kitchen, nice hot tub and clean comfortable beds. There’s plenty of seating inside and out for everyone. Also the host is very responsive and great to work with. Definitely recommend this lovely home!!

Everything you need and more

Heartland house was the perfect place for our family to stay for a getaway together. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of serving dishes, utensils, appliances, etc. Beds were very comfortable. The property was quiet yet only minutes from town.

We had a wonderful time in Saugatuck. The houses location was perfect for everywhere we wanted to go. The large dining table was the perfect place for our group of 10 to eat and visit. The private grounds were very nice especially the evenings we sat around the fire pit! Thank you!`

A Charming Cottage

This well cared for property is a little gem in Saugatuck. The grounds were well taken care and the outside sitting areas were perfect for our group (including reading in the hammock and yoga on the front porch). The well equipped kitchen had everything we needed for food prep and cooking.Our beds (all five) were comfy and we all liked our Beekman toiletries that were a nice addition in each room. Overall, the house is a charming Michigan cottage !

Girls getaway weekend

This house was wonderful for our girl's get away weekend. We have been doing these weekends for about 25 years. Loved the space in this house, the yard and porch are great. Right across the street is a walking path to town. We did have a problem with the refrigerator, but owner addressed it right away. Already looked to see if it's available for us next year and sadly it is not. But would definitely stay here again sometime.

We loved the property. It was perfect for the size of our group. It was very lovely and spacious. It had a very well stocked kitchen. We loved the outside deck. It has many amenities, including washing facilities, games, hot tub, grill. We were very pleased. The only problem was that the refrigerator wasn’t working. But we could use the downstairs refrigerator. We liked it so much, we’ve scheduled it for a week next year.

Family wedding ( son & new daughter in law)❤️

The property was magnificent, we had numerous family and friends in Saugatuck to celebrate our sons wedding. We enjoyed lifelong memories with family and friends with use of fire pit, hot tub, the home itself, back deck and yard games. We have been in love with the area for years and years and our looking forward to coming back. Thank you to Greg for sharing such an amazing space. He is also quick to reply if help is needed.

The perfect home for our ladies getaway!

Heartland House was the perfect home away from home! We were a group of 8 ladies who have known each other for over 25 years, and needed a large home for our 4 day getaway. This house delivered on all fronts. Well stocked kitchen, large dining room table, comfortable living room, plenty of bedrooms, outdoor living spaces and a hot tub. We didn’t use the downstairs family room, but the 3rd bathroom downstairs came in handy. There’s also a laundry room which was helpful for drying our beach towels that we used for the hot tub. Gary was so prompt and helpful in his communication. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Cozy and well-equipped home!

We LOVED staying at the Heartland House! The kitchen is gorgeous and well equipped for anyone to whip up any delicious meal. The refrigerator is on the smaller size, so plan accordingly if you have a large group. The bedrooms are ample and the house is well decorated for a cozy weekend in. Gary was highly responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had the best Thanksgiving weekend at Heartland House! As soon as we walked in, we felt the care and warmth that has gone into making it a home away from home. Every room is decorate with care and style that is both eclectic and classic. We were able to cook a full Thanksgiving meal and cook several other meals for our group of seven in the well-equipped kitchen. And we could all sit as a family at the dining table to enjoy the time together. Everyone had a favorite cozy spot, most of us enjoyed a dip in the hot tub, and we all had fun walking into town or around the surrounding country roads. Best holiday ever for our blended family, and we all agree that we cannot wait to come back. Thanks, Gary!
