Antibes family holiday

We stayed at the apartment on our first family holiday with our two young daughters. The whole stay was fantastic! Firstly, the apartment itself has everything that you could possibly need and it is in a great location (near the train station, beach and central Antibes). Richard and Gail were very helpful in the build up to our visit and also for the duration of our trip. If we went back to Antibes we would definitely stay at the apartment again.

Well equipped, good sized, centrally located flat.

Short distance from everything in Antibes. Sometimes this is an advantage, occasionally a disadvantage. Car parking was a bit tight. Contact with the managers was OK and they were there to help (the bottle of wine in the fridge was a very welcome touch). The flat was well equipped with good quality furnishings and kitchen equipment. Easy to find for the restaurant delivery guys (1800 curfew and no restaurants were open whilst we were here but that wasn't a problem). Not noisy despite the location and local building work. Easy to get to local walks around the town and locality.

So disappointing !!

The building works to the front and rear of this apartment make it not fit for purpose at the moment. We arrived on a Sunday to see from the balcony four large cranes to the front of the property and a large JCB digger to the rear. Work commenced on Monday morning at 7.30am on both sites . On Tuesday it got worse when the building immediately to the front of the apartment was literally demolished !! We spent as little time in the apartment as was possible getting up when the workmen started work and only returning after 6pm when they had finished. Richard and Gail remain very friendly and the apartment itself lives up to previous reviews - although it does lack air conditioning in the bedrooms . At the moment though it should not be rented to guests.

Magnificent appartment near the old part of the city which is perfect for a family

Lived for a two month long period in winter. It is very near the historical sites like Fort Carre and the harbour which is only five minutes away. The appartment is very sunny and comfortable for a family with a view of Cap d'Antibes. Many thanks to Gail and Richard for their kindness and availability.

Most convenient location possible, however travelling to it. Nice big flat, superb balcony views.

We loved the property and the location, just minutes walk from everything. One felt part of the area as Antibes is so friendly. Richard and Gail were so helpful and kind, everything organised smoothly and efficiently, even helping with the luggage. Magnificent vistas from both the balcony and the bedroom windows (the Alps Maritimes). Spent a very happy month with different family members joining for different weeks. November very different from summer as regards numbers of people on the street,but probably more enjoyable for temperature - over 20 degrees in the sun- nicer than the 35 I have experienced in July, so one can get out more.Garage does need a little care when manouvering, modern cars have increased in size over the last 15 years, but the flat has masses of space for four people and we never felt crowded. All mod cons laid on, and clear explanations on how to use them, nice for TV watchers to be able to find their favourite English channels, but with the superb restaurants of Antibes to be discovered, who has time for TV anyway? To sum up, cannot recommend this property highly enough and hope to return.

Lovely spacious top floor apartment with sunny balcony and in great location

Lovely spacious well equipped apartment which was a great base just a short walk to the station, marina and bars/restaurants. Balcony had sun all day and private as on top floor. Richard and his wife made us very welcome giving plenty of tips on surrounding areas to explore. Antibes is one of our favourite places to visit with Nice and Cannes easy to get to by train, St Tropez by boat as well as some lovely towns in the hills by bus. We will be back again soon!

Great stay in this apartment in Antibes. Apartment in excellent position for all the amenities and attractions of the town. Richard and Gail met us at the airport and took us direct to the apartment and gave us lots of good information to help us have a good time. Simply the Best place in Antibes

We stayed in this fantastic apartment for 6 nights and we were totaly satisfied. It was our forth time in Antibes and it was the best one. The apartment is in perfect location - walking distance (more precisely - hand reachable) to everything, both wonderful beaches and the old town with beautiful bakeries and souvenir shops. The apartment is very well equipped, we did not miss anything for our comfortable stay. As you may see in the pictures - the view over the balcony is just stunning, It's one of those things that we did not want to leave. As we were with our own car, the private parking was a great benefit. Finally, I would like to mention exceptionally warm and attentive hospitality of Richard. Thank you very much for really pleasant communication. We sincerely recommend this apartment to everyone, especially for families as here is everything you may need for a wonderful holidays.

My most enjoyable stay in Antibes

I had such a fantastic stay at this apartment. It is located in my favourite area of Antibes, close to Port Vauban, the old town and the train station. Gail and Richard were wonderfully helpful and accommodating, and a pleasure to deal with. The apartment feels very spacious and bright. I loved that the bedrooms were facing the back of the building and were therefore very quiet at night. I recommend it highly and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Perfect for our family of four

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. Like other reviewers, we loved the location. It is just outside the heart of Old Antibes, more in the yacht area. This puts it close to the train station (SNCF), bus station (Gare Routière), and supermarket (Carrefour) as well as the tourist attractions. The property was clean and well-maintained. Our family of four -- my husband, myself, and our two adult sons -- were very comfortable there. The check-in and check-out went smoothly. I highly recommend it.

Just idyllic!

What a lovely apartment! We spent a week here in July and found it exactly as described - beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean.The lady who met us on arrival was charming and most helpful. The apartment is just a short stroll from the beach and numerous excellent restaurants. The secure parking is an added bonus in a town like Antibes where parking can be a problem. We particularly liked the fact that the apartment is on the top floor and was therefore relatively private and quiet. We shall certainly return to this delightful property in a beautiful part of France.

Location, location, location!

This apartment is perfect for a family stay in Antibes! Just a few seconds from everything you want to see: the old town center, the harbor, beaches, restaurants, and the train to Monaco, Cannes or Nice. The bedrooms are cozy and quiet, and the balcony is perfect for morning breakfast or an evening glass of wine with a view of Cap D'Antibes. We have stayed in many apartments in Antibes over the years, and this one is our favorite.

good location

A good apartment in a very convenient location. In need of some updating (who takes CDs on holday these days?) pros: safe, comfortable ,good facilities cons:let down by rental agency. despite leaving numerous answerphone messages there was no one to meet us. By the time someone turned up (only with the help of one of the residents )all the shops were closed leaving us without even a pint of milk- not much fun,especially for my 84 yr old mother. surely these days e- mail would be a far more efficient means of communication Also having reported a couple of problems these were completely ignored However Antibes remains a wonderful place for a holiday with lovely beaches,restaurants ,shopping all on the doorstep. a little more awareness that times have changed and small touches like nice bed linen,matching glasses, updated furniture can make all the difference

Perfect location !

Close to beaches, shops, restaurants, transport, what more can one ask in the way of location. From here we could explore the whole Riviera without a car enjoying the calm of the low season. The apartment was reasonably clean and well-equipped, the bedrooms quiet at the back. Even in February the balcony quickly became warm in the sun, and we enjoyed several meals there, as well as relaxing with a drink.

the balcony makes it!

Back from a week in Antibes in October. We had an excellent week. Antibes is a super place with beaches, a marina, open air market and a lovely old town. The apartment is in the middle of it all - a stone's throw from all the amenities including the main restaurant areas, the main square and the train station. The apartment itself is in a very modern building and has loads of space. It has everything you would expect for self catering but also there is plenty of gear for the beach - umbrellas, mats etc etc. For us, though, the best part was the balcony. It gets the sun all day and is perfect for a beer or glass of wine in the evening as the sun goes down. We had a great time and are planning another trip for next year.

Great apartment and fabulous location

We had a perfect week. The apartment is clean, modern and well furnished. It is a stones throw from the old town, market, beach and the train station. Trains here are great as you can travel fast and cheap to Cannes, Nice, Monaco and Menton. We were also glad of the car parking space as parking in Antibes is very difficult - although make sure you don't rent too large a car as the garage turns are tight. The balcony over looks the town so you get the best of both worlds - the buzz of the town during the evening whilst the bedrooms at the back are nice and quiet. Everything we needed was in the kitchen - we even manged to have some old friends round for dinner. We are recommending the apartment to our friends in London.

Great location, very basic property.

This property is in a fantastic location, very convenient to trains, port and Old Town. It is clean, bright and relatively new. However, the furnishings are very basic. I would expect any flat in France to have more than one wine glass! The living room furniture is uncomfortable and a bit soiled, there is only French TV and no internet connection (although the couple that run the internet cafe at the end of the block are very nice). The kitchen has the basics and having a washer/dryer combo was nice but it is lacking a dishwasher.

Antibes pied-a-terre

Great location in the town. Could see the old Fort Carre from our bedroom. Easy walk to old town locations. Used as our base to explore south of France and Northern Italy. Clean and well maintained facility. Lots of restaurants close by. Car parking is tight underground so no full size car if at all possible(medium or small preferable). Public transport very good. Easy train ride to coastal cities e.g Cannes, Nice, Monaco, etc .Would highly recommend to anyone.

We found the perfect holiday spot.

My husband and I love to go to this apartment and relax. The beauty of it lies in the variety of ways in which we can spend each day. We heard of it through a friend and it sounded OK but its more than that. I was going to list favourite restaurants but they are all good and much of the fun is in experimenting with them. There's super shopping here and the great Thursday market is accross the road from the apt. We can walk to either of 2 beaches for a swim. The no. 200 bus goes directly to Nice Airport. The theatre in Pl. da Republique hosts wonderful productions. The train station is nearby for trips to Monaco, Cannes, Nice and it's a lovely train trip to San Remo over the border in Italy for the flower.displays. Take the little white tourist train over to Juan le Pans. It's a lovely walk to (and around) Fort Carre. The balcony is heavenly if you choose to do none of the above! Of course, if you have a car with you, the possibilities are endless.
