Perfect house and location! Loved how easily accessible it was to town and the beach and a great layout for a larger family. Appreciate the surplus of towels, bath products, and beach supplies.

Family Vacation

This home is very nice, comfortable, and spacious. It is also a short walk to Gooches Beach, which was very convenient. Kennebunkport is also a short walk. We had 6 adults and 5 children, and did not feel crowded. It was a wonderful stay.

Bride’s ‘Famly Stay

Great location. Very good space for hanging out. Kitchen was well appointed with big table and chairs. Then upstairs, the hallway, with its big open space and two tables, was perfect for the brides sister’s to help her get ready, lay-out hair paraphernalia and makeup. The only down side was the listening to all the acorns dropping on the roof all night long was a bit disconcerting.

Wonderful Location

.5miles to beach, .5miles into town. Didn't need the car once we arrived. House was lovely, cozy and well appointed. Very memorable vacation!

Perfect cottage for annual reunion

Lots of space for a friends reunion in the beautiful region of Kennebunk. Everything you need to enjoy the ocean even when the water is cold with the outdoor showers. Friends, surf and good food

Beautiful home in great location

This house was a great choice for us with its proximity to both the beach and Dock Square. The house is large and attractively furnished with plenty of room for our group of 7. The hosts provided plenty of beach gear, which we appreciated!

Great as always!

This was our third stay and it was amazing, as always. The house is very clean with a great layout for multiple families and everything you need. Check-in was seamless and the location couldn't be better. 10 minute walk to Dock Square and 10 minute walk to the beach, always something to do in the area. We love staying here and will continue our annual trips!

Great location for your family getaway.

Enjoyable experience. The home is in a good location for walking to the beach and the port. The only negatives were a dirty refrigerator and a noisy dryer that had to be duct-taped in order to operate.

Great house for family gatherings

This house is perfect for a large family or for 2 smaller families to share. The bonus game room was great for the occasional rainy day recreation. Although it is located on the main beach road the house is set back far enough so there is little traffic noise, and it is about a 10 minute walk either to the beach or into the port. The owner was very responsive to any requests. The only negative was that the kitchen could be better provisioned with some basics. The dinnerware is large and heavy, and not in sufficient quantity if you have a large group.

Lovely Home With Its Own Rainy/Snowy Day Plan

Our group of 8 (two nuclear families of four -- two parents with two children) spent a lovely week during New Year's at this home. It is tasteful and modern, as advertised. The kitchen and living areas are just as you might want in your own home. The ping pong table is a huge asset when the weather turns bad... our 11-year-old managed to take her game to the next level during a snowy day as we waited for the plow. During that day we also appreciated the Roku gaming/viewing system -- and let me give a shout out to "You Don't Know Jack" in particular. The home itself is well-located close to the town of Kennebunkport. (The recently opened Mornings In Paris coffee shop is worth a stop to fuel up!) This home is also two doors down from the White Barn Inn, so for gourmands who would like to enjoy an amazing meal (but not stay at the Inn), this would be a perfect rental. While the home is roomy and laid out pretty well for families, I can't quite give it five stars. In certain areas the home is not quite top-quality and/or might have been treated roughly. We reported some small issues to the owner, but I will also mention that the dining table has been rubbed raw and shows many gouges. One of the dining chairs collapsed under us as we sat down for dinner on the first night, and I wasn't too excited to see a wood screw on the floor near the bunk bed (which clearly had come out of the bunk bed). Mold has begun developing around the shower pan downstairs. The bedrooms on the first floor are not properly insulated and are very cold in the winter. And while the supplies in the kitchen are adequate, they are not generous for home cooking: No garlic press, no cheese grater, no lobster pot (in Maine!), just one casserole dish and/or bakeware, only one small cutting board, and more than half of the wine glasses are plastic. (Many cabinets are empty... plenty of room in this gorgeous kitchen.) Some small investments on the part of the owner could solve most of these problems easily.

Christmas to Remember

I rented this property to specifically accommodate my family Christmas gathering on the 25th. The property is exactly as described. Enough room to provide for cookie baking, meal celebration and gift exchange ( 17 of us!). We also had the fortunate experience of a power outage, thanks to the timing of mother nature, Brian and I were in constant contact as he wanted to be sure we were as comfortable as possible. Being able to use the fireplace was a bonus during this unexpected adventure. When power came back 24 hrs later again Brian was in touch making sure all was working as it should be. So grateful to have a warm place for my family ( as most had no electricity) to celebrate. Kennebunk is a beautiful area, even more so during the holidays. Being from Maine it is always wonderful to be back home. Looking forward to a future stay at this property.
