Great stay

The house of perfect for our extended family coming together for graduation weekend. Atmosphere was inviting and perfect location. Close to restaurants, bars, and grocery store. The music nextdoor never bothered us but we usually were not home when the music was going. Great backyard for gathering. My son and his roommates want to rent this on their annual reunion get together. We loved the jukebox!

Great location and host!

We had so much fun on our trip. We were attending a wedding at Tipitina’s next door so it was absolutely perfect for us. The place is super cool and the back patio was my favorite spot. Adam was so accommodating for us. Thanks so much for everything Adam!! We hope to come back soon.

Great group house

We had an amazing stay at the tchoup house! Plenty of room for our group of seven adults. Great access to magazine street and plenty of awesome spots nearby. It was great to be able to catch a show next door and just walk home 20 steps to the house afterward. It is not a quiet neighborhood, but that worked out really well for us as we took full advantage of the integrated sound system and functioning jukebox. Would definitely boom again!

Mini Family Reunion

My grown children and I stayed at the property the first night and my brother and his family joined us for the remainder of the weekend. In total there were 7 adults and one teenager. Adam greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the house which was helpful. The house was just perfect for all of us as we each had our own bed/space and plenty of bathrooms. There were pool games, card games, and lots of time spent outside on the patio enjoying the "free" music each night from Tipitina's. The home is within walking distance of Rouses and Magazine Street and just a few miles from the French Quarter. The kitchen has enough equipment that we could cook breakfast a few mornings and enjoy a variety of snacks without having to worry about buying utensils for preparation. Highly recommend The Tchop House for a family weekend or guys/gals weekend getaway.

The Ultimate Rad Tchoup House

One word Location, Location, Location! This place has it all from the great location parked next door to Tip's to the Jacuzzi, Pool Table, Piano, Juke Box, and Poker Table. This place is amazing from all the fantastic art work, to the layout of the place, including the beautiful private backyard hangout. Will be back every year for our Annual NOLA Radiators Reunion. Can't wait to call this place home again!

Busy street but convenient to everything.

Overall a nice house in a loud area next to a really cool music club but it was only open one night during our stay.

Roomy and Convenient

This house was in a convenient location and had plenty of space for lots of guests. It is definitely set up to be a fun, party house; with a juke box, hot tub and pool table. The house has eclectic, fun decor and was clean. We enjoyed walking the short distance to Magazine street to eat and shop. Because it is next door to a "Club/Bar", it can be loud, but it's the same noises you'd have on Bourbon Street and what makes New Orleans the cool city it is. Street noises, music and nightlife are kind of expected...this is not the house, nor the city, to visit if you're expecting a tranquil oasis. Adam is easy to communicate with and we would stay here again. P.S....the sheets are the softest in the world!

Fantastic spot

We had a great time at the tchoup house. Great spot for a bachelor party and so close to a grocery store and not too long of a ride into town. Loved the spot and used the pool table and hot tub a ton.

Great location for the right group

Loved staying at this property. Adam, that owner, gave us a thorough walk through and treated us with great southern hospitality. Easy walk to magazine street where some of the best restaurants in the world are located. There is a convenience store caddy corner the residences and a music hall with all kinds of genres right next door. 10/10 would recommend!!!

This property is fantastic!

I stayed here with a few friends for a guy’s weekend. It’s uptown, so a great location for all the Tchoupitoulas and Magazine area bars and restaurants and only a short Uber to the French Quarter. Ita literally across the street from a supermarket, so getting supplies is easy. Lastly, and most importantly, the property is clean, nice with plenty of space for a big group, and the hot tub, outside bar, pool table, music, etc are all great additions. We already agreed that we want to rent it next year!!

Bachelor Weekend at it's Finest

The house was perfect for my friend's bachelor weekend! There was plenty of space for everyone to stay comfortably and we were only a 10 to 15 minute Uber drive from downtown. The outside deck areas and hot tub was the perfect touch for hanging out too. Adam was a gracious host and we'd definitely stay here again!

Fantastic place, great for a large group!

I rented this house for my buddy’s bachelor party and couldn’t have made a better choice. Had plenty of room for our group of 8 guys. Sound system throughout the house and the back yard was a welcome addition and made drinking at the bar and relaxing in the hot tub even more fun. The location was great, it is across the street from a grocery store and made stocking up on food and drinks a breeze. Not to mention it is 100 yds from a brewery and a few blocks from bars and restaurants on Magazine street. I will 100% be renting this place in the future

Great house, great host, great vacation!!

This place has it all. Even if the weather doesn’t cooperate you will never be at a loss for activities. The house has lots of fun stuff available. Right next door to Tipitina’s!! Perfect for our concert needs!! Huge grocery store across the street. 24 hour bar a couple blocks away as is the trolley line on St Charles. Easy access to the French Quarter if you’re driving. Parking right outside. We had a wonderful time. We had 8 people and there was still lots of room. Adam was a great host; easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. What are you waiting for...book this place!!

Over Priced

We had a great time, a few problems with the house. The front door was at times impossible to open. We had no hot water Friday, it was promptly fixed the next morning. Tipaitino's was awesome, but it's loud at night in the house, which we expected. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is not the house for you. Good location but, as stated in other reviews short Uber ride to the French Quarters, but got rather expensive by the end of the weekend. I have stayed in many VRBO houses for less money that was above and beyond our expectations.Overall my husband had a great birthday. We LOVED the hot tub and back yard the best. Adam was very accommodating.

Awesome place - Will definitely stay again!

We were a group of 8 guys and spent 3 nights at the place and had a blast. This is an awesome place for a bunch of guys or couples wanting to have fun in NOLA. The pictures accurately reflect what is in the house. There are speakers outdoors and they will make hanging out in the backyard that much more fun. Due to the location of the house you don't have to be concerned about being loud. The house is walking distance from many restaurants and bars and there is a full scale grocery store couple of blocks from the house. You have to park on the street directly in front of the house or on the other side of the street. We had 2 cars and never had any issues. Note: Don't let Google street view influence your decision. Very important: Adam is a great guy and very helpful. He will respond to your queries right away.

An Incredible Way to Visit New Orleans

A group of friends stayed here for a Bachelor party and it was an incredible destination. The house is well maintained, full of character, and Adam, the host, was very responsive and helpful. The back patio area is perfect for a group of people to relax or socialize. It's also located in a great neighborhood full of nightlife and dining options. The inside was just as the pictures looked and I would recommend it to any group of travelers who plan to visit the Crescent City.

Amazing and Ridiculously Awesome Time!

First off, let me say that the owner Adam was extremely pleasant to work with and made our stay easy and enjoyable! Second, this house was everything we could ask for and more! We came down with a group of 12 and had no issues sleeping everyone. We were there for all of Mardi Gras and the house made an EXCELLENT spot for doing anything/everything we could ever want to do in New Orleans. Tipitina's was right on the corner, which made for a great hangout with awesome tunes when we weren't at the parades or hanging out in the house. We also weren't more than a short uber ride to both Bourbon street and the Casino for when we felt we needed to venture a little further out. We loved the hot tub, pool table, and rooftop deck and spent most of our time in the house between these. If you're looking for a place to host an unforgettable (barring copious alcohol consumption) bachelor party, then this is the place for you! We will definitely be back again, hopefully for future Mardi Gras'. Thanks again to Adam for being such an amazing host!

Why they chose this property

And if you're really up for an adventure- make a roadie and walk to the Quarter. It's okay if you call a car half-way there! Or if you end up staying put at any one of the amazing restaurants or bars along the way. It's sure to be a fun time! It's the journey, not destination. You're already here!

What makes this property unique

The Tchoup House (pronounced "chop") is a truly unique property, situated in NOLA's newest hot spot; The Uptown District on Tchoupitoulas Street and just steps away from the iconic Tipitina's, breweries, shopping along Magazine Street and the best neighborhood bars and restaurants. During Carnival Time, we are right on the parade route.
