Magnificent Pacific Ocean View! Large private beach house.

A large, private, three bedroom, two bath, house with magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean. Each bedroom is luxuriously appointed. The living room and dining area have a truly incredible six window view of the Pacific with white water waves crashing over exposed rocks. The house has a fireplace and two wood stoves, a well equipped kitchen and a large deck for enjoying the sunset. In addition to the three bedrooms is a cozy loft and quiet areas to read and relax.

You'll be a five minute walk to lovely Agate Beach, part of the Duxbury Reef Preserve. There you will find access to the Pacific Ocean, a quiet beach area and tide pools perfect for nature explorers of all ages. Nearby is also Bolinas Beach, a great place to play in the sand or take a surfing lesson from the Bolinas Surf School. A short drive by car is Stinson Beach and Point Reyes.

Close at hand are some incredible walks along the coast, including some trails into the southern end of Point Reyes National Seashore. During your stay you can also explore historic Bolinas. Founded in the 1850's, Bolinas has long served as a weekend getaway for San Franciscans, though in earlier times they would arrive by boat. Bolinas remains a great retreat and maintains a local culture shaped by the 1960's counter-culture movement.

Update Regarding for Bolinas Water Supply Winter 2022:
The water situation in Bolinas has improved and rules imposed in the summer of 2021 that asked for water conservation and had the potential to lead to water rationing have been suspended. Rainfall in 2021 refilled the reservoirs, however rainfall in 2022 is again lower than what it has been historically, though not as bad as 2020. Out of caution, we still ask guests to make efforts to conserve water. Guests should take note that if conservation rules are re-imposed (in the past that meant guidance to use less than 125 gallons of water per day per household) we will ask guests to honor them.

Wonderful family vacation in Bolinas with stunning views

What a gem. We had a fantastic family holiday in Bolinas. The views from the property are amazing. Very clean house and very well-equipped kitchen. The adults really enjoyed the great audio system, the kids loved the motorized TV stand to 'hide the TV'. Thank you Heather for the great communication and tips reg. the area. We hope to be back soon.

Wow, wow, wow

I’ve stayed in many properties in the Ballina area for the last 15 years and this is my favorite. The location is outstanding with beautiful views of the ocean. The kitchen was highly functional and the house has spacious areas to hang out in. It has a great family room where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and ocean views.. I will definitely rent this house again.

This one is about location…

The view is amazing. Sitting in the dining room or living room with a cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea was the highlight of our stay. The property is walking distance from a beautiful walk by the ocean and driving distance from amazing day hikes. We stayed during Christmas so most of Bolinas was shut down. We arrived too late to try the store close by. The nearest grocery store open was 40 minutes away. But this drive in is fantastic. The kitchen is well stocked so we were able to make meals for 5 adults easily. The appliances all worked well. The host was very helpful and responded quickly. Easy communication. Easy check-in. Don’t be like us…make sure to download or print out check in info before getting into Bolinas (T-Mobile doesn’t work well out there). Wifi was spotty because of a storm, which is to be expected. But the wifi works well when there is no storm. The vibe is more cabin like. The only critic we have is regarding cleanliness…the place is older, musty and could use a good deep clean but at least we had everything we needed to clean up what we could. We always like to leave a property in top shape. It was rainy and we tried to be as clean as possible but with only a tiny mat at the entrance it was quite impossible. All in all it was a good spot. We would definitely stay again!

Better than the online Pictures!

Our stay at the house in Bolinas was amazing! It was spacious, cozy, and well equipped with all the appliances and cookware you will need. The hosts were great to work with and even reached out to make sure we were aware of the situation when there was a 60–70-year rare tsunami predicted for the area. The very best part are the Amazing views all around the property. You can see the ocean in 3 directions. And the sunsets were gorgeous. It was a 5 minute drive into Bolinas with coffee shop, market, beach, restaurants and nice locals! We loved this place.

Just a dream!

Nostalgic coastal cabin with modern amenities, lots of room, views! Family owned with supportive hosts. Highly recommend for a week if you can. Surfing and boogie boarding at Bolinas and Stinson beach, horseback riding at Five Brooks Ranch. Coastal cafe in Bolinas, kitchen is greatly outfitted. A favorite for sure.

Best R&R I've had in a long time

I've tried to think of a way to explain this little slice of heaven in Bolinas and it is tough to put into words but here goes. The house itself has charm and character which I totally appreciated. The location is in this little community that people are out walking there dogs, people wave and say hello as you sit on this awesome deck facing the Pacific. I read the story of the owners that bought this home I believe back in the late 60's or early 70's for a weekend home out of the city and honestly it just made this place that much more cozy and comfortable. Everything you need is there, fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils for cooking and I mean everything. We shopped at the little store in Bolinas for our grocery needs, I like to keep my purchases local to the community when I travel. It was so nice to be able to keep the windows open during the night and hear the ocean below and feel safe, that makes this place a total gem for me. This place is great for some R&R or family vacation or a place to just disconnect. I would stay again if I make my way back to the area.

A perfect spot

The Bolinas house was just perfect- beautiful vistas, plenty of unique spots to be alone and to be together, and very responsive hosts. The house was comfortable and well appointed with a perfect location for hikes, beach and access to the north bay.

Amazing location.

We could not have stayed at a better beach house. Every amenity is right there for you. I will always remember the breathtaking views from every corner of the home. I can’t believe all the different types of birds we saw. We can’t wait to come back again.

Location, location, location!

The sea views from the house are fabulous, and we loved our walks in the neighborhood. We enjoyed the quail, the bunnies, the deer, the hawks, the ravens, and we even saw a whale. The home has a well-lived and well-loved feeling to it--the kitchen was wonderfully well-equipped; we loved the big table, and enjoyed the decks over our 3-night stay. Only recommendation would be to update the decor (e.g.kitchen floor) to match the updated appliances. Loved our stay! Thank you.

The view never got old

The view is absolutely amazing! I sat at the dining room table looking out for hours. Never spotted a whale, but I kept trying. :) The house is very comfortable and well equipped for family dinners. Which is good since restaurants are a bit far and I would not want to drive most of the roads in the dark as they are very windy. We had a fabulous time in the area and would happily do it again.

Stunning Views and Spacious Home

We stayed for four days and felt completely nourished by our time in this house, at the beach and in town. The home rests on a hill with stunning views of the ocean and apart from neighbors for solitude. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need. Beautiful views

House is situated in an incredible location. Main town center not far and one can walk there along the beach depending on the tide. Hikes heading from Agate Beach, just a short stroll from the house, are spectacular. Plenty of space in house to read, eat, gather, play ping ping on rainy days. Perfect for a family gathering!

Perfect Spot for Annual Sisters Reunion

We loved our choice of this amazing property for our annual sisters reunion. There were 4 of us and we had plenty of space to relax, cook, play games, dance, and generally have fun! The deck table provided a serene atmosphere with sounds of birds and waves crashing - perfect for our daytime meals, games and visiting. The big dining table and couch seating in the View Room was cozy for our indoor gatherings - with a wonderful view! Our host was quick to respond to our single inquiry, and we felt right at home with the well-stocked kitchen and clean appliances. We felt very safe and enjoyed our walks around the neighborhood and to Agate Beach. All-in-all a great experience and we hope to return!
