Newly remodeled 1950's cottage in the heart of Orick, home to Redwood National and State parks. Surrounded by the Redwoods
2 bedrooms, 1 bath. 1 king bed, 1 queen bed accommodates a family of 4 nicely. Living room, a cozy sitting room with fireplace and open kitchen. 2 flat screens, satellite tv and dvd. fully equipped kitchen with major and small appliances, cookware,dishes and utensils provided. 2 recliners in the sitting room and a large overstuffed couch in the living room are inviting after your long hikes among the ancient redwoods.
2 minutes drive in any direction gets you to the beach or the majestic old growth redwoods.
A cozy wood stove provides heat for the cottage.
Kitchen is fully stocked with all utensils and cooking items needed. features a stove, microwave, full size fridge, blender, crock-pot and Keurig coffee pot!
Roll-away twin bed is tucked in the closet and available for that extra bed.

Perfect for an adventure.

Great little property for adventures in the Redwood Forest National Park. Only a couple minutes from main trail heads. There is a little road noise and the town of Orick has no amenities to speak of but your only a few miles from Trinidad which offers great food and views.

The location is 10 minutes from a nice beach, about 20-30 minute drive to the Redwoods, tons of hikes and Elk viewing right in the yard.

Quaint, centrally located home.

Home was located just where we needed it between Klamath and Trinidad. Comfortable place right off Hwy 101 with all we needed to explore the Northern California Coast.

Cozy little spot

Great little spot to stop after the redwoods and if you’re in the way south. Close by we saw some Elk very close up. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Redwoods Ready

This home is very comfortable! The two bedrooms were all we needed to make this a very cozy and pleasant stay. Orick is a very small, quaint town practically in the redwoods groves themselves. Whether we wanted to go to the coast or the National or state parks, everything was right there!

Beautiful place! It was fantastically clean with everything we needed. And the beds were comfortable. It was an easy drive to see the spectacular redwood trees. Would stay here again and definitely recommend this place.

Nice cottage

Cottage was clean and as listed in the description. Check-in was easy. There is a small market nearby for those last-minute items you may want/need. Overall a great place to stay while visiting the redwoods!

Great location for Redwoods Hikers

The house is very conveniently located for hiking in Redwoods National Park. Comfortable for two couples with well equipped kitchen and two comfortable bed rooms. The only caution: their are very limited restaurant options in Orick...closest are 20-30 minute drives away.

Great location lots of road noise

On 101, the main highway through Orick. Although the speed limit is 45 through town, front door is 50 feet from 101.

Great location

Location was ideal for redwood vacation. House is older but remodeled and nicely appointed. Elk spent the early morning eating in the yard. Need to bring your groceries and make your own meals. Nothing in town and burger stand isn’t always open.

Wonderful Stay

We enjoyed our stay at Redwood Creek Cottage. Walked to the market a half block away to get food to grill for dinner. Not much of a selection but they had what we were looking for. Everything was very comfy including the beds. Sat out on the deck with the dogs to enjoy the evening. The coffee in the morning was most welcome. Thanks!

Great Location

If you want to visit the redwoods, this location can't be beat! Just minutes to various trails and visitors center. Be aware there's not much food-wise in Orick, so come prepared with groceries or be willing to drive a bit for restaurants. The house was clean, and I really appreciated the ability to do laundry and how well stocked the house was. The listing does need to be updated - I believe when I booked it had listed a hot tub and two tvs for example, there was no hot tub and only one tv. Not that either of those things are deal breakers.

The cottage is well maintained and very clean. The location as far as distance to the redwoods is perfect Host was very nice and responsive Cons: I wish I had taken the negative reviews of literally no restaurants or gas anywhere close by. We finally figured out the closest place is 30 minutes away. We then bought groceries to have food after a full day of hiking. The VERY busy road it sits on is very very loud at night. If you’re looking for a quiet place this is definitely not it. Again the location is ideal for getting to the park just be aware

Great location to the Redwoods

The location is super close to the Redwood National park and also a nice quiet beach to watch the sunsets. Unlike some of the other reviews, we did not have any issue with noise from the nearby road/highway. The place itself was equipped with all the amenities listed and had coffee/tea available. Communication with the host was quick and easy. Key tip is there really aren’t many food options within at least a 20-30 minutes drive (and it’s a dark drive at night in that area)… and we learned that almost every restaurant closes early on Sundays so plan your food options. There is a small convenience store and liquor store just a couple doors away so you can buy basic snacks and drinks easily. Small inconvenience given the proximity to why we visited there (Redwoods) so highly recommend!

Great location for Redwoods visit

We recently stayed at this Redwood Creek Cottage and could not have been happier with the location so close to most primary Redwood hiking trails. The property was clean, cozy, comfortable, and offered everything we needed (including washer/dryer that came in very handy).
