Pajaro Dunes Get Away!! Recently updated - Kitchen, and bathrooms!!
Nicely appointed & Bright 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo right on the dunes and steps from the beach. Enjoy beautiful dune and ocean views from the master bedroom, living room and a joining deck. Relax or visit all the exciting and fun beach spots just moments away in Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel & Big Sur – Featuring the wonderful Monterey Bay Aquarium, Santa Cruz beach & boardwalk, Roaring Camp railroad & amazing restaurants and shopping in Carmel. Take a cruise on 17 mile drive, perhaps some golf at the Pajaro Dunes golf course. Something to do for all ages. Sit inside and enjoy a cozy fire in the wood burning fireplace or venture down to the beach and enjoy a bonfire in one of the designated fire pits, roast hot dogs and make smores. Fish, surf, skim board, run, walk or possibly swim if you are brave enough to dive into the cool Pacific Ocean. If you are lucky and book during the migration season you may see whales, dolphin, seals or otter. There are basket ball and tennis courts available for free, just bring you gear and sign up.
The condo features a queen size bed and private full bath with shower in the Master Suite, with flat screen TV. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed and twin pull out couch, TV with VCR & DVD, just off the guest bedroom is the guest full bath w/ shower over tub.
The dining area is lovely, bright & seats six. There is a fully appointed kitchen. The living room is cozy, bright and inviting – you can see the city lights of Soquel , as well as watch the sunset. There is a large flat screen TV & WiFi. Sliding doors from the Master Suite and Living room lead to a covered deck for dining and features a gas burning BBQ for you to enjoy.
Parajo Dunes is gated & secure 24/7, as well as having fire and rescue on site. Watsonville Community Hospital is 7 miles away.
There is a gift shop/general store with the basic necessities – fire wood, ice, beer, wine, hygiene products, beach toys, some food stuffs, & Pajaro Dunes beach wear. As well, you can pick up a news paper, barrow a book or movie if you like.

Great little place

Great little place. We love Pajaro Dunes and the location to the beach with young kids. Place was clean and pretty well stocked. Our only complaint was the bed and bedding in the Master… the pillows were so flat and uncomfortable and there was only one per person, bed was too hard for our liking. Our kids loved the bunks and beds in the other room though, we did lay on that queen and it was pretty comfy! Would visit again. Thanks

Perfect beach escape

Highly recommend this property for a quiet adult stay, family with small kiddos vaca, or fun girls weekend! The condo is on the first floor, easily accessible for all ages. Access to the beach was steps away from the front door. The beach is clean and not crowded. You have a view of the ocean from the main bedroom and can listen to the crashing waves all day and as you sleep. I felt very safe during the time I was there alone. (My family had to leave earlier than me). The condo was very clean and beautifully decorated. There is plenty of sleeping space and living room seating for 5. I absolutely loved my stay and will be renting again very soon! stay

Very Cute!

Very cute place and well maintained! The only downside is there is not private WIFI, and the public one is a pain to use as it kicks you off randomly and you have to rejoin, so it made getting work done difficult. But, if you don’t need WiFi, it is a perfect place to stay!

Great beach house stay

Great small size condo. Always fun to stay in Pajaro Dunes and this was a great property. Good size for a smaller group, well appointed, good parking and access to the beach. Nice hosts, gave good info and were responsive when I messaged.

Great location!

A hand full of steps away from the beach and a very safe place to stay. There is a duck pond, pickleball courts, and a small bike path. The location is great- less than an hour from Santa Cruz, Monterey Aquarium, redwood forest, etc.. Great places to eat not too far away. It’s always a great stay.😊

Pajaro Vacation

This is the second time we have rented this unit for our annual 10 day Pajaro trip. Since last year there has been some great improvements. New mattress in master bedroom :) New bunk beds added to guest room. We had a great stay and plan to rent again for next year.

Great location, amenities and host

We’ve stayed several times at this property and enjoy the location right on the beach. It’s a great place to unwind, take walks on the beach, and not too far from Carmel, Santa Cruz and other destinations for day outings. I appreciate the extra amenities, well stocked kitchen for cooking, enough towels etc. I was happy to find new mattresses throughout and a bunk bed. Only issue is wifi can be spotty and difficult to log onto during peak times since it’s a guest logon with other units. It’s easiest to connect and stay on in the second bedroom if that’s helpful. We had plenty of other things to do so having a break from wifi was fine with us.

it was wonderful

hi dawn yes it was wonderful, the only thing was the tv 📺 wouldn’t work or maybe we didn’t no how to work it but, it wasn’t getting any channels and the other thing the lock box out side the door came off when we fist checked it we put the code in and it opened and came right off. other then that we had a wonderful time.

Nice Getaway

This place was steps to the beach and well stocked for our family of 5. We enjoyed being able to come and go to the beach with ease! If you have small kids I would definitely recommend this unit as you don’t have to use the stairs. The place was very clean which I really appreciated. Dawn quickly sent us all of our information and was very reachable. A few notes to potential guests: The second bedroom now has twin bunks and a full size bed. Plenty of room! The fireplace has a sign not to use (in case you were hoping for a winter fire). There are no fire pits (or fires) allowed on the beach from November-March per the state park regulations. There are several beach chairs and beach towels so you only need to bring the toys. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes, pans and cookware so I had no problem cooking for our family. The coffee maker is a drip machine and filters are provided. The living room has a couch and 2 chairs…so I would say it only seats a cozy 5. When we were there, the dvd player wouldn’t work in the living room and the cable wouldn’t work in the guest room so be aware that the tvs may not be as functional as at home. It’s basic cable and no apps so you’re limited there as well. The deck only has 3 plastic chairs and a plastic table so we couldn’t all sit so we really didn’t use it. The sunset view is beautiful and there is a peek-a-boo view of the ocean from the living room. Once on the beach, we saw dolphins and sea otters and enjoyed our getaway!

Great getaway

What a charming beach house we had for our Monterey Peninsula getaway. It was spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. A beach vibe added to the sense of place. As all three of us have back problems, firmer beds would have worked better for our group. A short drive to Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur combined well with a walkable beach right outside our door. Perfect for a ocean getaway

Perfect spot for a weekend at the beach. It was our daughters 9th birthday and she wanted to go to the ocean. We had a great weekend sleeping with the windows open and letting the sound of the waves crashing lull us to sleep. Beach access was perfect, just a short walk and your there. Would definitely book this place again.

Great place to stay at. Used it mainly for sleeping and cooking breakfast before going and exploring the the area different attractions. We were so close to the water you could hear the waves and beach access was just a short walk away. Would definitely stay here again.

This condo was absolutely perfect for us. We were in town for a couple nights with 3 generations of family. The condo provided a great home base to do daytime activities and allowed the grandparents a place to stay and take it easy while the grandkids were out. Has all the amenities you need. Would stay here again for sure.

Another happy time at Dawn's

This was the second stay at Dawn's Pajaro Dunes condo for our family group of four adults. Once again, we appreciated the cleanliness and well-maintained comfort of the place, the dune view and less-than-a-minute walk to the beach, the thoughtfully & abundantly supplied kitchen (though once again we couldn't find a soup ladle!), and Dawn's swift responsiveness to questions. The only amenities we found ourselves wishing for were more living-room lighting (it's almost too dark to read if you're sitting on the couch at night) and firmer mattresses (the pillow top in the second bedroom, at least, was too soft for our comfort). Overall, we were exceedingly happy with our stay and appreciative of the host. We hope to return again sometime.
