StoneCliff Friday Harbor

Stone Cliff was beautiful and exactly as shown. The kitchen was so well appointed. Nothing was missing. The house accommodated our party of 7 (and a baby) just perfectly. We had fun times around the large table and enjoyed the fireplace on our one rainy day. Close enough to town but so peaceful.

We loved the full ocean views, private cove excellent balconies and 15 acres of trails. The management company is excellent. We had mechanical issues with the hot tub which they promptly fixed. We loved the sunrises and spacious home. Highly recommend staying in this home.

Honestly one of the best places we've ever stayed. If you love comfort, convenience and nature you can't go wrong with this house. From the beautiful deck and hot tub we saw at least 15 species of birds, deer, river otters, harbor seals, and even orcas!!! House is well equipped and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Amazing, serene, beautiful waterfront home

Stonecliff is a beautiful home right on the water. We had amazing views of the sun rising over Mt. Baker every day. We had eagles, seals, and otters visit almost daily. We had easy access to Friday Harbor from our home. There was a nature trail behind the house. The hot tub was a nice way to end every day. House was clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend!!

Amazing Escape with Family

We came out for a short respite from the world, and were rewarded w/ a lovely, spacious home and amazing surroundings. We saw orcas, bald eagles, and a family of deer from the gorgeous panoramic views of woods, ocean, and mountains (Mt. Baker was lovely). The kids loved the hot tub, and Fran's Tea House was a lovely homage to the prior owners. The Zen Landscape is exactly what we needed. We'll be back for sure!

I highly recommended this rental and would stay here when I return.

Puget Sound Paradise

This property has the wow factor. If you want to stay at a top-notch property, this is it. We had a commanding view of the bay in front of our house. We left the property each day of our stay, however I think we could’ve stayed on property and had plenty of things to do like badminton, nature watching, puzzles, and games. The house had a pair of binoculars perfect for viewing the distant shoreline. Everything in the house was in working order, and the description of the property was very accurate. We suggest getting an updated TV for the living area. Unheard of in this day and age, we resorted to talking to each other! The hot tub was serviced on day three of five during our stay. If the hot tub is your hot button, this hot tub will seat two adults comfortably, maximum three adults. However, the water is very sudsy. The Wi-Fi was fast enough and strong enough for all five of us to stream at the same time most of the time. It’s a 15 acre property with well marked trails and nature viewing opportunities

We stayed with our adult children, their spouses and twin grandsons. The kitchen was well-equipped with cooking items. The bedrooms were roomy & comfortable. The deck and view were amazing. We had a fantastic experience and the house was perfect for our group. The rental company took care of getting us high chairs and pack & plays for the babies (for a nominal fee) which was very helpful to have them waiting for us. We've rented houses in Germany, Italy and in the U.S. so we've had many experiences for comparison. This house's rental price is on the high-end, but it was also very nice and clean. We highly recommend this property and the agency to anyone looking for vacation property on San Juan Island.

Reviewer Comments: A beautiful home with an incredible view from the decks, but be prepared that this house is located approximately 2 miles from the main road on a long unpaved gravel road. For the price per night, It should have provided comfortable outdoor furniture instead of the basic metal chairs with no cushions. It is time to replace the furniture!!Pros- Rooms were very clean and the views from the rooms were great. Loved the Critter scavenger hunt on the property, and each day we saw new wildlife on the property.Cons- Location was off the beaten path for our group. The 2 rooms located upstairs will share the bathroom with a jack-n-jill concept.The outdoor furniture needs an overhaul with a modern design.

Family Getaway - Water view, Not Waterfront

We prepared all of our meals in the large, well stocked kitchen and they provided everything we needed for cooking & barbecuing during our stay. The 3 king beds were all very comfortable and they provided plenty of bedding, hot tub towels & bath towels. We loved the nature trails and walking around the property. It is located down a very steep dirt road, but we had no problem getting there with our SUV and the excellent directions. We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and spacious property. The drawbacks were minimal, but should be noted: 1. Upon arrival the house smelled very musty & had to be aired out for quite awhile. 2. Although we knew in advance that check out was at 10am, it seems unreasonably early and doesn’t line up well with the summer ferry schedule, unless you plan on being in the ferry line by 10am for the 11am ferry. We had 4 hours between check out and boarding time, which is too long in Friday Harbor. A lot of the shops weren’t open or didn’t make it during Covid it looks like. 3. Be aware, the cleaning person arrives before check out and just waits for you to leave. Is it so they can collect another $200 from you if you’re late? It wasn’t a problem for us, but the next person will want to be prepared. 4. This is a gorgeous water view, but it is not a water front property. There is technically access to the water, but it is treacherous and rocky. You go down a path, over a log, and down the stairs. Once you get to the bottom of the stairs a rope is provided and it leads to the water and to very large slippery rocks, with no beach to enjoy.5. The hide-a-bed in the living room was uncomfortable. You might want to bring an air mattress if you need the extra sleeping space. 6. The bedspreads and pillow shams are ancient and need to be replaced (specifically in the master bedroom).
