These 4 quaint, authentic(built in 1940's) Key West style cottages are cozy and very clean with 'Old Florida' charm, were completely renovated in 2014. The saltwater pool, and heated jacuzzi, outdoor bar/grills in the fenced back yard (5000 sq. ft.) are shared between the 4 cottages. You will not have ANY screaming kids around this compound...just peace and quiet for ultimate relaxation.The tiny cottage sleeps 2 adults comfortably. Each cottage has a small private fenced back yard. Romantic screened porch. Plenty of parking on the compound. 2 bikes, 2 chairs, beach buggy provided for each cottage. Very quiet, dog friendly neighborhood. You can walk to the beach, dining, shopping and water activities. ONLY 2 PEOPLE PER COTTAGE.
YOU CAN BRING A SMALL DOGGY (25 LBS MAX) THE PET FEE IS $150 PER PET AND CERTAIN BREEDS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
Starting 2023, January is a 2 week minimum rental. February & March are 1 month or longer.
The world-famous John's Pass Village and Boardwalk is a stroll away gives you an oasis from the ordinary. This cozy fishing village has tempting restaurants and unusual shopping. You will find quaint shops that offer antiques, arts, crafts, clothing and jewelry.

A 6 seater electric beach cart available to rent. It is street legal.
FREE beach parking and FREE John's Pass Village parking.
$700 for a week.

Peaceful oasis near the beach!

Loved this quaint tiny cottage near the beach. So relaxing and well cared for pool and landscaping. The other cottage couples were a delight as well when we met up with them at the pool area. Very close to beach and easy to walk or bike to restaurants or shopping. Would definitely stay here again! Loved the Mermaid cottage!

Ideal Host and Location!

We had a wonderful relaxing getaway at the Mermaid Cottage and were more than pleased with the property (great pool, comfortable king size bed, hot shower) and the host! With bikes to ride on the beach as well as a quaint front porch to sit out on and feel the tropical breeze, this rental was one of the best!! Won't hesitate to rebook in the near future and I highly recommend this spot to all travelers in the Maderia Beach, Florida area!!

wonderful

he stayed there last year, and once again, everything was perfect this year. The location is fabulous, the cottage is the perfect size, and having the pool and grills right out your door is absolutely awesome! As far as the hosts, you need to clone them. We had trouble with the TV the first night, and Drake was over immediately. Anytime i had a question, they were a text away. one of the top hosts i have ever rented from and i rent a lot.

Great way to relax

This property is the best for a relaxing time. Judy and Drake do an excellent job of maintaining the property and very responsive to calls. The pool invites you to relax. The cottages are filled with all needs so add a swimsuit and your favorite foods from close shopping to enjoy. All four cottages have a beach theme and the beach is a short walk from the neighborhood where cottages sit. Catch a sunset and shop John Pass to totally enjoy the location.

Retreat from winter

The Mermaid Cottage was everything that the ad promised plus more. Judy is a special hostess who wants you to have the best vacation possible by supplying the extras like beach chairs, bikes, helmets and a cart for the short walk to the beach. The pool and Jacuzzi are great and only shared by the 4 cottages in the compound. The Mermaid Cottage is a few steps above any other efficiency that one could rent as it is a luxurious cottage complete with BBQ and fenced little yard. We travelled with our dog and Judy made him welcome. She even supplied dog litter bags. The cottage is a short walk to John's Pass' shops and restaurants. Madeira Beach seems to be the center of great vacation spots - visit to St. Pete's Dali Museum, Fort de Soto and the beaches of Clearwater and St. Pete. During our month long stay, we decided to book our return for next winter before the word got out how wonderfully perfect this cottage is.

Paradise found at last

We stayed in the Mermaid cottage for a week in April and wish we we still there. The cottage was everything we could ask for in a vacation property. Judy makes sure you want for nothing and is available if you have any questions. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage with it's own private driveway and backyard. The decor is beautiful and comfortable. We spent a great bit of time sitting in the screened in porch in the morning with coffee and late in the evening with a cold beer.. Wonderful! The pool and spa were great and the grill area. There are two bikes provided with every cottage and we used these every day. This was a real bonus to the rental. Everything was close by. We even biked to a Winn Dixie just pass the Tom Stuart causeway(about a 15 minute bike ride away). We put on our knapsack and away we went. The beach is less than 10 minute walk away. Johns Pass is about a 15 minute walk away. Gulf Blvd is the main road and on the bus route which includes the Jolly Trolly. Next time we visit, we may not even rent a car. We will return again and hope to book for two weeks next year.We want to tell our friends about this paradise but maybe not....maybe we want to keep this our little secret..only kidding.

Comfort and Location

The cottage we stayed at was very clean and very comfortable. It is modern on the inside with beautiful light tropical colored walls. The furniture and decorations are suited to make one feel that it is a home. Appliances worked well and the Keurig coffee machine was a blessing. The back patio was like an oasis snuggled in the surrounding residential neighborhood. Tropical trees and plants surround the patio. The screened-in front porch is a nice touch and the common breezeway was like a gathering place. The bed is king-sized and possibly the most comfortable one my wife and I have ever encountered. Judy has created a beautiful pool area with a hot tub which cascades water down into the heated pool. There are several outdoor grills for use in addition to the full kitchen in the cottage. The cottages are located approximately 3 blocks from the Madeira Beach. Judy has bikes, beach chairs, coolers and other articles available to use to enjoy days at the beach. There is a 7-11 store within walking distance and a Publix grocery store nearby. John's Pass is also within walking distance and provides a nice change of pace with all the various shops and water activities and restaurants when you've had too much sun. My wife and I agree this is the best vacation we have had. Judy was always available for questions or assistance and is a warm, friendly person. Playing and relaxing all day on the beach was an experience we were looking for. But after a long, exhaustive day we were ready to go home to the cottage . The cottages are a home away from home. A unique experience we totally recommend to others.

Relax before the busy holiday

After our place was canceled in Venice Beach I was going to just cancel my trip. Im so glad I found this little hidden gem. It was the perfect place for me and my husband. The cottage has everything you need. Johns pass is perfect to walk to or take the bikes that come with the cottage. Judy is a wonderful host. I would definitely recommend staying in these cottages. They are in a very quiet neighborhood. The neighbors are very nice.

Great getaway for two!

My fiancé and I stayed here for 11 days. We also brought our dog, Maverick. Great set up here perfect for the three of us. Plenty of dog beaches around. The best one is on the south end of Treasure Island, but make sure you go at low tide. Fort de Soto has a dog park and dog beach, but a little further away. Judy was great and has a really nice set up with the cottages! The pool, hot tub, and grill were great amenities to have while staying there. Everything was clean and in good shape! Book this and enjoy!

Great vacation cottage

We absolutely loved this property! The cottage was so well appointed and had everything we needed. It is perfect for two people and a pup. We travelled with our older and ailing dog who just loved this place. (He has an extensive medication schedule that doesn't make it easy to find someone to watch him so it was important we could take him with us.) We found great places to sit (in the breezeway, on the front porch and under one of the large umbrellas by the pool) where we were able to stay cool and relax. The pool and the pool area were extremely nice and offered nice seating. Each cottage is also provided very nice beach equipment (wagon, chairs, umbrellas, etc.) and two bikes to use. Although we didn't use them there are also multiple grills for people to use as well. Just a lovely place that is just a couple of blocks from the beach and John's Pass. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was perfect for 2 people. The pool and outdoor facilities were fantastic- great grills, pool furniture. Judy has this set up great even if flying in she has all the needed beach supplies and good new bikes! The bed was great! Definitely would stay again!!

We had Everything that we needed. The cottages are with in walking distance of the most beautiful white sand beaches in Florida. Plan on revisiting again in the near future.
