Amazing winter getaway

This was our second time to Las Gaviotas, our first time staying in Kristie's place. Everything was just great. Her place was super clean, very nicely decorated and well-stocked with everything you could want or need. (Love the CD and DVD collections!) The view is amazing! The whole community is lovely, very safe and secure. The security guards are friendly and were incredibly helpful in setting up a visit to the Cuatros Cuatro winery. The community is also in a great location, not far from the Calimex grocery, Rosarito, Puerto Nuevo and other attractions. Kristie was super friendly and accommodating throughout our entire stay. We highly recommend a stay here and will hopefully be back again in the future.

Fun, Stress Free, and Relaxing Holiday

We had a wonderful stay at Kristi’s home in Las Gaviotas! The house was very comfortable and charming. We enjoyed waking up, sipping coffee on the deck with ocean views, and taking a short walk for a nice morning surf. My two sons (age 17 and 18.5), myself, and my wife really enjoyed the location and tranquility. We also enjoyed making simple meals (including breakfast, lunch, and dinner) in the well appointed and clean kitchen. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Charming Mexican Beach Property

Pool area was closed

We were very excited for a weekend getaway at Las Gavoitas. The condo we rented was clean and fine, we were just very disappointed that the pool area was closed on Saturday for a private event. Had we known we probably would've made different arrangements, as we were looking forward to hanging out at the pool area on the beach. Just wish that would've been communicated.

Best beach house in Rosarito

Omg this place was amazing. The beach house was rustic with traditional Mexican decorations inside yet very modern. The community is gated, quiet and has a pool, jacuzzi, private beach and even a fish taco and smoothie stand. We felt so safe and relaxed here. The owner lives above us which I preferred having her close by cause she answered all my questions via text asap. The house itself was stunning and spacious. Rooms were big, shower pressure was great, view of the ocean was a total plus. Can’t wait to stay again.

Kristi was very kind and gracious, and very knowledge about Mexico . The home was beautiful and I love all the detailed touches to the house, the house felt like a home. I’ve stayed in this community before, but this stay was the best stay yet ! I definitely recommend !

Mexican decor on steroids!

When I’m in Mexico I like to know I’m there just by looking around me. There’s no mistaking it here! Kristi’s house is decorated to the enth degree with fabulous tile work everywhere, Mexican furniture, and a lot of high end ceramics and artwork. On top of that she’s the BEST host. The neighborhood was beautiful right next to the ocean. It was very safe and comfortable. The house was full of charm. The only thing you need to recognize is that the area could be cool weatherwise. We went in early July and had to break out sweatshirts and sweatpants!

Girls’ Trip!

We had an amazing time and loved this place! Beautiful views, very clean, cozy and safe. We loved the community jacuzzi and the brewery across the street was great and we enjoyed the live music. We all want to come back!

This is an amazing place

We had the best time at this amazing house. Great views from the patio and kitchen. Saw whales and dolphins and great sunsets. Kristi is a great host and you will love the neighborhood, so quiet. This is the best house in Gaviotas. It has everything you need. What a great time we all had. It was fun to just hang out at the home. It’s beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Beautiful vistas and a very nice and attentive host. We had 5 family members down for a wedding. Kristi was very accommodating and gave us lots of tips before our visit. I highly recommend her house to anyone planning a stay in the area.

What a beautiful place. So clean and cozy. Kristi was kind enough to decorate for Christmas. The fireplace was so nice to warm us after a day in Valle De Guadalupe. We all loved our stay here!

Great family get away

We had a great time at Kristi's property. The unit is just a short walking distance to the private beach and surf break. Also the playground for the kids is available. Super fun! The only comment would be that the Jacuzzi is off limits to kids under 15 yo and the guards enforce it (but they are doing their job). We'll be back again!

“Hecha en Mexico.” Raised in Huntington Beach, CA, I was born into a family of world travelers who in 1952, lived in Brownsville, TX. I can actually say, 'Soy hecha en México” as I was conceived across the border in Saltillo, MX!

As an avid traveler, I have visited over 30 countries which ultimately led me to explore Baja Norte, and Las Gaviotas. Casa de los Sueños, my House of Dreams was purchased in 2002.

I am an established interior designer. My passion for creating environments that nourish the soul, especially using Mexican tiles, was rewarded with the cover and feature article in Baja Lifestyle and Phoenix Home & Garden Magazines.

For those new to Las Gaviotas, you can see the many 'visible signs' of my gifts to the community - through the tiling of the many fountains; special tiled benches; the back splash in the homeowners lounge, Administration Office, and the beautiful tile work in the Clubhouse. My commitment to maintaining the beauty of Las Gaviotas is reflected in my volunteer work on the Design and Beautification Committees.
