2 Bedroom, 2 Bath & Loft Room; Sleeps five (5) * Set on the shore of beautiful Duncan Lake in Ossipee, meticulously maintained and fully renovated open ranch house just 10 minutes from Wolfeboro.

No Pets; non-smokers only

Spectacular views and private lakefront. Nearly an acre lot lawn and garden with Foot Bridge. Master bedroom boasts cathedral ceiling with ceiling fan, sunroom including patio set that is perfect for intimate breakfasts & watching the sunset, master bedroom deck, large master bath & DVD player. Living room highlights perfect views of the lake with large sunlit windows and 45” flat screen TV with DVD player. Beautiful kitchen is fully outfitted. House has screened in porch area as well as beautiful dining area.

Experience the serenity & beauty of Duncan Lake with its restriction on power boats with speeds exceeding 6 MPH making it the perfect place for swimming, kayaking, fishing or watching the loons. Lakefront has perfect exposure with sun from morning till night. Enjoy barbecuing or spend the night under the stars.

For Fisherman Duncan Lake provides an ideal location. As described from the BAIT AND HOOK REPORT "Fishermen will find a variety of fish including rainbow trout, largemouth bass and brook trout here. Whether you’re baitcasting, spinning or fly fishing your chances of getting a bite here are good." A fishing license is required and can be easily obtained from the local hardware store.

Bedrooms are newly furnished and contain brand new queen mattresses (purchased 2019) and full amenities. House is WIFI equipped.

Although you’ll feel as though you are in a hidden quiet oasis, very convenient to shopping with a Hannaford Supermarket, Duncan Donuts, Walgreens & Family Dollar right around the corner in walking distance. Convenient to restaurants too with Lake Winnipesaukee boat cruises and Wolfeboro with its many specialty shops nestled in historic storefronts just 10 minutes away. Also located half hour from North Conway where you can find tax free outlet shopping with national name brand outlet stores or enjoy the picturesque views of Mount Washington, Mount Chocorua as well as many other popular family attractions i.e. as Storyland, Santa's Village, & North Conway's Historic Railroad.

Autumn rentals also available to enjoy gorgeous fall foliage. Area has been dubbed one of the best fall foliage viewing areas in the country by major publications.

Annual Family Vacation

We have rented VRBOs in the US and Europe and own rental property. I wanted to love this place for our summer vacation week with my adult children. It boasted a beautiful outdoor area on a quaint lake. However, the property fell short of the standards we’ve experienced with other rentals. There were multiple cameras inside/outside that we were told to cover with paper bags for privacy (audio?). The listing stated mattresses were new, but the beds sunk in the middle and were uncomfortable. The futon in the loft was uncomfortable and loft was hot without proper ventilation. The water heater stopped working the 2nd day. As the July days were hot and humid and the house unairconditioned, we decided to shower before bedtime and realized that the water heater was not working. The owner sent out a plumber early the next morning who reset the unit and it worked for a short time. We contacted the owner again and she sent a handy man that came in the afternoon, but was unable to fix the unit. We were told a plumber would be back the next day. Faced with the prospect of having to take more cold showers with unknown repair time, we decided to leave on the 3rd day of our 6 day reservation. Ultimately the water heater was repaired over 36 hours after it first stopped working. We requested a refund for the last 3 days we did not stay. The owner would only refund 1 day – their position being the heater was working the following day (ignoring the fact the issue lasted nearly two days)

Beautiful lake and relaxing trip

The lake was amazing and it was great having access to multiple boats. The house is a bit dated and the beds ver uncomfortable. It is also ver close to a main road with no good places to walk or ride bikes around the lake. But it was a very nice trip.

Relaxing getaway

Excellent hosts, property is as advertised. Very clean, plenty of space for our family of 5. Convenient location. Lake is very quiet. Bring noodles for swimming to experience it best as the hosts suggested. Water is shallow which was great for us with a little one. As you go out further the sand can get soft and sinky. Perfect for kayaking, great beach area with large yard area too! Loved our trip!

This is a beautiful home on peaceful Duncan Lake with a large private beach. Owners are lovely and most helpful. Beautiful town with all the essentials nearby. Lovely stay this summer! Thank you!

Perfect week!

Our week really could not have been any more perfect! The home was nice and clean and welcoming. The lake was perfect for all water activities. The weather cooperated with the exception of one day and we took full advantage of that and headed into North Conway for some shopping and sight-seeing. Overall, we had a fantastic time and thoroughly recommend this vacation home to anyone who is looking for a place to unwind and relax!

Beautiful

I have on suggestion concerning the in law. That a window air conditioner be installed. After all day windows being open we had to buy two window fans to keep the heat down. Other than that we had a great time and loved all of it.

Great beach-hope for a few future upgrades. 3 1/2 stars

Planning and arrival: prompt communication, easy to work with. Great attention to detail. Smooth day of arrival including troubleshooting The cottage: beautiful setting, very private with quiet family next door. Lovely lawn overlooking our bay with incredible transition to beach. Nice entry room with excellent storage of beach related stuff available. Good place to dry towels! Kitchen adequate and basics fine. Some missing essentials like cheese grater, heat tolerant stirring spoon and few saucepan options. General kitchen grade B-. Living room very comfortable. Essential ceiling fan. Reading illumination mediocre. Dining room very nice. Master bedroom nice with great view of the beach but bed/mattress requires upgrade. Second bedroom also nice with same bed/mattress issue. Mid August is a bit warm/humid 24 hours a day despite multiple fans. We had a very nice time with our good friends here. I enjoyed the kayak and paddleboard very much. The water was great for swimming at close to 80 degrees. The water's edge has some vegetation breakdown matter that can be avoided.

Perfect location and size!

I LOVED staying at this house! It's right on the lake, with gorgeous views, and minutes from a super market and other stores. The view of the lake is beautiful from inside the house, which has great sized-rooms and lots of space. My stay was so relaxing and enjoyable. The owners were extremely helpful and accommodating! Would definitely recommend!

WE had a GREAT week! Very nice house on beautiful pond. Hiked in Mtns, water skiied in Wolfeboro (which is a gem). And a Motown Concert last night! THANK YOU (We did not use the "garage room".

Amazing 4th of July Weekend

This is a most peaceful vacation spot. We loved staying at such a little slice of heaven for the long 4th of July weekend. We had a blast relaxing with the sand in our toes and truly enjoyed the fact that all we had to do was roll out of bed and we'd be at the beach. The variety of water sports available at this rental is huge and allows for everyone to be entertained at the same time. It's nice that it is close to shopping, restaurants, and gorgeous hiking so you really can never be bored. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for the perfect getaway!

Perfect lake house.

I spent a nice long sister's weekend at your lake house this past May. It was our first trip to NH, so we were excited to see some of what NH had to offer. We hiked, took a train ride, went to a craft fair, got ice cream down the block and when all was said and done, we came back to your place, where we could relax and enjoy the beautiful views of duncan lake, the perfect place to unwind. We would go back in a heartbeat, NH has so much to offer, even if all you want to do is take pictures, there is beauty everywhere you look.

Beautiful Lake House

Thank you for a wonderful stay! The home is beautiful and perfectly suited for our needs. The house is extremely spacious and well-kept. We loved using the paddle boats and kayaking on Duncan Lake. We got to see a snapping turtle while kayaking--very cool! Having the lake behind the house was wonderful, and we loved enjoying the peacefulness and scenery all weekend. We will definitely be coming back!

JK Manchester by the sea Massachusetts

The lake house with it's beautiful view of Duncan lake was as it was described with all the amenities needed. It was both spacious and comfortable as well as immaculate. My husband and I enjoyed kyaking and relaxing on the beach but the lake is not deep for swimming unless you go across the lake to the sandy beach. It would be perfect for families with young children since it's quite shallow but the water is clear and clean. Views of the moon were awesome over the lake and the area is so quiet and private and excellent for relaxing.The owners Lauren and Mason were exremely helpful and easily accessible. The landscaping and grounds were well maintained and we were able to pick blueberries and rasberries on the property. Just a wonderful vacation!!

Idyllic Summer Get Away!

Our family with 4 young children enjoyed 3 wonderful weeks here! The setting is absolutely picture perfect! The lake is very manageable for children and provides hours of entertainment! The house is very clean and a nice layout. It's close to grocery store, ice cream store and some restaurants. It's centrally located for several wonderful day-trips throughout the northeast. We would definitely come back!

Great Lake Home!

We stayed at this property over a long weekend with friends. It was the perfect house for our crew. We had two 2 yr olds to keep entertained and could not have found a better place. With tons of indoor and outdoor space everyone was entertained and relaxed. The home was spacious, tastefully done, and we absolutely loved the view from the living room of the lake. Additionally, a grocery store is located just around the corner so that made stocking up on supplies very easy. We would vacation here again if we could!

Duncan Lake Private Retreat

Duncan Lake is beautiful and private - no outboard motors above 5 hsp. We swam every day. There is no real beach so we jumped in at the only sandy part and swam laps around a small island. Crystal clear water and no weeds. The beach is mucky so it wouldn't be ideal for small children. The house was freshly painted, clean, newly renovated, beautiful kitchen. Normal supplies like dish detergent, toilet paper, coffee filters all ran out at the end of our stay. The rowboat was old and had terrible oars. Didn't get one good night's sleep because the mattress and the box spring were wrapped in thick, heavy duty plastic. This was too obsessive. Take the plastic off, please! Your guests want to sleep, not listen to crinkling plastic all night, not to mention how it felt. I'm torn about how to rate this. The house and Duncan Lake and the surrounding area is 5 stars for sure. Couples, or two couples, or a family of 4 would really enjoy this property. The plastic wrapped mattresses put a damper on sleep. Sleep is important. I encourage anyone to stay here but require that the plastic be removed from the mattresses. We will return if the plastic comes off.
