Friend's Getaway at Bayview Estates Victoria Beach

This was our annual weekend getaway for a group of friends that have been meeting for 30 years. The cabin was very spacious, well set-up and in a beautiful location. There was access to the water and a screened in porch/veranda that was very well used and appreciated. I would recommend the property.

A beautiful beach getaway!

We loved our weekend escape to the beach at this beautiful cottage. The property is very charming with lilac bushes everywhere, potted flowers and lots of tree cover. The cottage is very well-stocked. We loved having the use of the BBQ and the hot tub. Can’t wait to visit again!

Great location with a big kitchen and yard. Excellent for multiple families.

The cottage was the perfect size for our group (four adults and four children between 5-11yrs). We found it clean and spacious. The screened in deck was nice even with the low mosquito numbers. We all found the beds to be comfortable with good pillows and linen. But the best part was the large kitchen/dining area, big yard and hot tub. The outdoor shower was handy for after the beach as well as before and after using the hot tub and it was used daily. We were able to have a bonfire on two evenings but found finding proper sized drift wood impractical because there was no saw or axe provided. A quick drive to collect a bundle from a friends nearby cabin in traverse bay was our solution so I would recommend bringing some wood of your own or at the very least you may want to pack a hand saw. I would also recommend bringing your own bikes. I thought I read somewhere on the listing that there were ten bikes available for use. The bikes are in poor shape at best. However we did manage to find three to meet our needs but they were all needing air and in rough shape. I get it, it’s a nice extra and no one is going to invest money on bikes but some basic maintenance is definitely required. My son was stung on his face by a wasp while walking from the van on the second day and we found three large wasp nests on the abandoned building next to the cabin. I don’t want to scare anyone off we had a wonderful stay and I would recommend it for sure. It’s beautiful, spacious and relaxing it’s close to the beach and well stocked. The tv room is good with lots of comfortable seating if that’s your thing. One of the highlights of our summer for sure. Kids had a blast.

Excellent get away

Was a nice cabin, great for our 3 families. Kids had a great time. A bit of a longer walk to the beach from the cabin, but on the bikes provided it was good. Thanks so much for an excellent stay

Beautiful property

The cabin itself is spacious and well cared for, but the real highlight is the property itself. Huge yard that leads right down to the lake. We took advantage of the numerous bike trails in the area, and the volleyball court in the yard! Ended each day taking in the gorgeous sunset from the hot tub off the deck. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Beautiful cottage.

10 of us had stayed for 3 nights and all of us really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is spacious (it fit 10 people comfortably), clean, and has a beautiful view of the lake. The property is close to Elk Island, and my group and I took advantage of that by taking a winter walk across the lake to the island and back. Beautiful cottage, excellent location.

Fantastic Victoria Beach Cottage Rental

I rented this cottage for our family summer vacation and we loved everything about it. The lake front location in the non-restricted area was beautiful and it is a very short drive into Victoria Beach for swimming at the beaches, a large play structure, a grocery store, and an amazing bakery! This cottage has a nicely designed interior with all the amenities you need including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. A screened in deck and hot tub were great to have as well. We had a wonderful time and are already thinking about renting it again next summer!

Wonderful Victoria Beach Rental

Rented this cabin with a few couples, we enjoyed the stay very much. All you need is there, very spacious, amazing views, beautiful beach close by which is a huge plus. The screened in porch and the hot tub were added bonuses! I would recommend this cabin to anyone.

Wonderful Long Weekend Getaway

My wife, our infant son, and my in-laws rented this cabin for the labour day long weekend. We had a wonderful time! The cabin was very clean and spacious. We were very pleased to find that the kitchen had all the utensils, dishes, bowls, etc, that one would need! We were very impressed with the beach at the end of Olafson Blvd. Beautiful sand and almost private; not crowded at all, despite it being a long weekend! It is perfect for families with children. The walk to Elk Island was also very pleasant. We also drove to the restricted area one afternoon. It is nice to be so close to a bakery! The cabin had several bikes to use and this was much appreciated. The screened in porch and the hot tub were added bonuses! We were very pleased to find a cabin that was dog-friendly! The yard is big and there was no issue with dogs on the public beach (early in the morning or later in the evening). We had a few questions during our stay and they were answered very promptly by the owner. The only con is that there was no access to the lake due to stairs being broken. Our energetic dog was still able to get up and down though and this also helped to tire him out, which is always appreciated. All in all, it was a great experience and we would definitely recommend this cabin to others!

Victoria Beach Rental

My family, along with another family of four, spent a week at this cabin. We had rented the owners other cabin in Traverse Bay last year, so we knew we would be just as happy with this cabin. The cabin was very clean when we arrived and the yard nicely maintained. They stock the cabin nicely with three jugs of drinking water, toilet paper and a selection of condiments. The cabinet had lots of games and the yard has a volleyball net. We took a bike ride with the kids to the restricted area of Victoria Beach (where cars cannot enter). It took about 45 minutes, but would have been faster if we were not with children. We also canoed to Elk Island, which was great fun and only took half an hour to paddle to. The only complaint we have is that there was no access to the lake because the stairs had been broken by the spring thaw/waters. However, there was a beach nearby and a spot even closer to launch our canoe. Make sure to take bug spray for flies. We thought that the mosquitoes would be bad, being that it's Manitoba, but the flies were biting us everywhere we went in the area.

Christmas Celebration

Our family spent our Christmas holidays at this rental and we were not disappointed! Our 3 grandchildren loved the deer that would wander through the backyard to graze every day. I really appreciated the spacious well-equipped kitchen for prep and the dining area accommodated our family of seven very comfortably. We had forgotten a few items and appreciated the general store that was close by that carried everything we needed. The house was clean and beautifully renovated and it was very special to walk in and have the house decorated for our Christmas holiday. Maureen was very gracious and quick to answer any questions that I had. We enjoyed going for walks through the area, there was beautiful scenery and everywhere we went people were very friendly. The availability of a laundry room was appreciated, especially with 3 grandchildren in the house with us. The beds were comfortable and we loved having a fire every day in the fireplace. We were able to make special memories with our family and would not hesitate to book this rental again.

Vic Beach Rental for family of 9

The first thing I would like to say is that this is the first time we have ever booked a rental. I had a million questions when we booked and during the time from booking until our arrival. Maureen answered promptly making us feel well taken care of. We booked this rental for our family of 6 adults and 3 small children. Our family is originally from the area and we were excited to come home for a family event. The view was beautiful and there is a private beach. The cabin had plenty of room for us all. There was a big table with enough chairs for everyone to sit together at meals. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed including a big island and we constantly used it to prepare our meals. They was plenty of supplies for laundry and cleaning. The beds were comfy and there was a 2 Piece ensuite in the master room. Plenty of space throughout the cabin for storing your belongings. We enjoyed the screened porch area which had chairs, table and a small fridge for extra storage. Big TV room with plenty of furniture. Spacious yard for game playing. There is a beautiful beach walking distance from the cabin and we brought chariots for the little ones (all under age 3) and we easily brought them to the beach. My husband and daughter in law walked the sandbar to elk island one morning from the beach. We also brought our bikes and we had rode into the restricted area for the bakery. There is store nearby if you need anything. We even ordered pizza one rainy night. The guys golfed and one night we went to bingo! We rented beginning of August and used more sunscreen than bug spray! A wonderful experience had by all!

Victoria Beach Getaway

Very peaceful and quiet, since there were no neighbours. The view was beautiful with a private rocky beach. Walking distance to sandy beach. Good spot for star gazing and making camp fires. Chalet was spacious and comfortable. The fact that the chalet is in unrestricted area is a bonus.

Summer rental for families

Cottage was newly renovated and clean. There was plenty of space for our family of five plus extra space for overnight family visitors. Nice little beach area behind the cottage that our boys loved exploring with adult supervision. Large yard space to enjoy as well. Unfortunately we chose a week heavy with mosquitos and black flies so we were grateful for the large screened in porch over looking the lake. There is a nice beach about 20 minute walk away but be prepared with a wagon of some sort because parking a car to get closer is not really convenient. Amenities of Victoria beach is about a 10 minute drive, which is nice. Nothing really closer in terms of ice cream shops ( for young kids) but great if you are craving something more private than that close community feel of places like Victoria or Grand beach.

A great Victoria Beach getaway

I stayed at Maureen & Derek's cabin with a larger group of friends and a pup. There was ample space for all of us, and we especially enjoyed the large kitchen/dining room that was perfect for cooking, family-style dinners and game nights where everyone could hang out together in the same space. Ditto for the large leather couch - perfect for group movie nights! The property is large and feels very private, and is a close walk to a beautiful sand beach. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

AWESOME LOCATION!

Walking in, everyone was amazed with the property. Huge lot, tons of room inside, and a veranda. Derek and Maureen were very accomodating for our group as we were a bit larger. They provided mostly everything we needed to cook and cleans. Tons if games and board games, outside is filled with outdoor activites. Definitely going return!!
