The location was one of our favorite parts. We walked to restaurants and bars, walked to the grocery store and the bakery!

A nice little retreat

This was a perfect beach house for us. It was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. The location was particularly nice, right on the beach and close to beautiful resorts within walking distance for dinner. The food and service at the restaurants was exceptional, both The Green Parrot and The Maya Beach Hotel and Bistro. The owner and manager response time was excellent both to welcome us upon arrival and to help us when we locked ourselves out. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice propery

Very nice property, staff was easy to contact and helpfull tho we didn't need a whole lot of help. Pretty remote which would not be a big deal but most of the roads on the Island are in pretty rough shape. Nice beach and property was in decent shape. Would stay again.

Sweet place

We stayed December24-30th. The location is spot on . The best restaurant was Mangos. We caught our own fish & they cooked it for us 😊❤️When you go rent a golf cart. It’s all you need . The diving is spectacular . Highly satisfied all the way around

Greatest Time Ever

This was the best vacation experience of my life. We were picked up at the airport and brought to the most beautiful spot on earth. When we came onto the property it felt as though we stepped back 60 years into a Hemingway novel. Morning coffe on the veranda. Afternoons on the quiet and serene beach under the palapa. We had snorkeling, fishing and tours to the interior all arranged by Leo and they picked us up at the house. I don't see how it could have been better. We stayed at Ken's other house for part of our stay, but this one is literally on the beach.

Perfect Maya Beach Vacation rental

Just finished a 3 week stay at Caribbean Delites Beach house & it was absolutely perfect for us. Right on one of the best stretches of beach in Belize, very clean & very comfortable, nicely decorated accomodations & cooking facilities + outdoor charcoal bbq which we put to good use. We did most breakfasts & lunches in house but wandered to local bars/restaurants for a few drinks & dinners each week. It's very close to two of our favorites - the Green Parrot & Mangoes but there are several other choices within 1/2 mile walk. Grocery store is only 2 minute walk down road . The property manager is nearby & is extremely helpful to arrange tours, answering questions & ensuring your stay is pleasant. Close enough to Placencia to visit (much better staying at Maya Beach) to taxi in/out @ $20 USD or take local bus like we did several times for $2 BZ. My sister saw it & booked next year for 2 weeks already.

Spectacular!

I was pretty certain I was going to love this property so it was hard to imagine that it could exceed my expectations, but it did! It is every bit as gorgeous as it looks and very peaceful and quiet. We drank coffee and watched the sunrise from the beach every morning. And then if we wanted someone to prepare us a delicious breakfast, we walked a few steps to The Green Parrot. We were treated like VIPs by Leo and all the staff. The food at the restaurant was outstanding, but we had our own kitchen in our cabana to utilize as well. It was the perfect combo! We booked our amazing excursions through the Green Parrot as well and I received a glorious massage on our final day there. The massage therapist said we had found the best spot on the peninsula. I could not agree more. I will definitely return to Belize and I will definitely stay in this same cabana again. It was truly the vacation of my dreams. Thank you!

We really like the property.

We enjoyed our time there. There is a couple of things that I would have changed. The porch swing needs to be replaced. The air conditioner had a hard time keeping up. I would never have said the house was cool. I also dripped condensation on our heads at night, which was a rude awakening. Also we cooked out on the bbq, which was nice but we did not have dishes to serve the 6 people. If the house sleeps 6 there should be service for 6. We would refer this property to others and as a matter of fact, some guy walked up to us on the beach and asked us if we liked it because he had some friends coming that were booked into it. Thanks for sharing.

Unbelizable

There are too many good things about this property to type here. The property is exactly as advertised and sets just feet from the sea. Upon arrival Leo picked us up at the airport in placencia, stop by the local grocery for a few necessities( which is literally right across the street from the property, and dropped us off in paradise. We visited in mid November for 12 nights and the area was very peaceful and quiet. We really had the beach and surroundings to ourselves. A few steps out and you are in the sea. Upon arrival Leo had the Air running in the property. We actually turned it off, opened all the windows and enjoyed the cool sea breeze our entire trip. Previous reviews mentioned loud music, ect from the Green Parrot next door. Hmmm we did not experience that. However the entire staff of the Parrot should be the Ambassadors to the area. Licia, Cedric, Matt, Sylvia, Sheldon, Becky, Henry and the rest of the crew became our family next door. What an amazing property paired with amazing locals in the area. Thank you for an unforgettable visit.

Great House, Fun vacation

This house great - simple, clean and right on the beach as the photos show. The porch is so relaxing. Even when hot, the breeze from the sea was always there to cool you perfectly. Very clean and comfortable bathroom and shower. The two palapas with hammocks and beach chairs for the houses (same owner owns your neighbors) are perfect. Met some great people staying there as well as everywhere. We had no problems with sand fleas, mosquitoes or bugs so relax. I think any fellow traveler would enjoy this place. Good value for the money. The building is solid and the interior is simple, yet very well done. This house deserves a 5 star rating, but I had to knock it one for my fellow travelers due to the bar next door that basically touches the south side of the house. It may get very loud on a evening until 11 or so if a bad band is playing like it did for us. On other evenings the radio also plays, but much lower as long as the bar is open and it is heard through the wall - not a deal breaker, just something everyone should know if you demand absolute peace and quiet. I would also suggest you use that very bar's kayaks for $10/day though - the Green Parrot rented one to us for $10/hr - until we cut a deal next door for $10/day - we all paddled to False key which you see from the beach - it took 25 minutes and believe me, this DIY snorkeling adventure is worth your energy. Just trying to save you a few bucks. Leo did set me up with Alrin on a snorkeling/fly fishing tour of the islands in a small panga with a 50 horse and it was the highlight of the trip. Also, the Green Parrot would not do our laundry, you must go into town if you want that done. All in all this was a great place. Phone the owner - he has great ideas and info. Get on "island time". Thanks.

A little piece of paradise!

Our stay at the Toucan House was everything we wanted it to be and more. The location is amazing if you're looking for peace and quiet. Great restaurant next door, the Green Parrot. There's a store across the street - super convenient. Leo was helpful with everything and anything we needed. Can't wait to go back!

Nice beach spot

We stayed here for a few days on our honeymoon. Loved being right on the beach. They did a great job at trying to keep the beach clean. Having the Green Parrot right beside was great. They have good food and drinks. There is not much in the town of Maya Beach so we did a fair bit of driving to Placencia or Sene Brite for for and such so just be aware of its location. But we had a great time here! Thank you

Revisiting a Little Bit of Paradise

This was our second stay at this beach house. My husband and I find the location to be ideal. The beach is right there, and we can hear the water from the front porch. We settle in quickly to relaxation mode.

Very nice house right on the beach

I give the property a super rating, with reservations about other things. It's a great house, open, roomy, and solid. Leo was a perfect host. There are restaurants and a grocery store that are easily walkable. This pretty much is all I require on vacation--food nearby and right on the beach! There was a lot of seaweed on the beach on some days, and this is not a resort, so they don't rake the sand every day, etc. It wasn't really a problem; just step over it. One day it was too bad to swim, but it's Mother Nature and just one of those things. Nice beach otherwise and several lounging areas for sun or shade. The whole area is small groups of cabanas and houses, but it was quiet and never a lot of people. My one reservation, and this isn't the house itself, is that the small outdoor bar next door plays music all day long and I prefer quiet, especially in the house. It didn't go late at all, but I might have chosen the other cabin if I had known. Overall it's a great house in a great location!

Maya Beach is super relaxed and easy going, we love how the beach stretches out onto a flat expanse of sea before you, how the palms rustle in the tradewinds and how people have created a happy community here. Maya Beach is quiet, leafy and home to great restaurants and sun drenched beach bars. Nothing exciting happens after 9pm and everyone loves a sunrise over that beach - the birds and the colours will greet you early here.

Authentic hardwood cabins made luxe and modern - we kept the history, honoured the traditions and revamped it for the contemporary traveller. Formerly 'Caribbean Delite', our cabanas have always been a classic on the beachfront and we aimed to keep them that way.
