Great area by Turtle Bay

Great area, near many activities, as well as a beautiful walk to Turtle Bay. Few minutes drive to beaches, food trucks, Foodland, Polynesian Culture Centre.Beautiful stay

Location was perfect to everything in North shore, tennis, pool and beach all within walking distance. Owner was great and responsive. Would use again and highly recommend.

Great Get-away

Very quiet and relaxing stay in Kuilima. Although I drove, the bus stop was very close to the unit and I caught the bus to Haleiwa and had a blast. Unit was clean and comfortable. Perfect for a few days stay. Mahalo!

Great Location, but Terrible Experience with Host and Property

This VRBO rental had some positive aspects, such as its proximity to the beaches and being located in a secure gated community. However, our overall experience was extremely disappointing due to the condition of the property and the host’s behavior.The property itself is rundown and in need of significant repairs. During our stay, insects got into our food, which was very unpleasant. Additionally, the rental was poorly stocked—there was only one roll of toilet paper for our entire stay, and no bath soap or body wash was provided.The host was the biggest issue. Two days before check-in, he sent us an overwhelming list of strict rules, including not staining the towels, not running the air conditioner during the day, and limiting laundry use. He also double-booked our last day and pressured us to leave early, which we reluctantly did.To make matters worse, after our stay, the host attempted to charge us an extra 3 per day for electricity, claiming we exceeded his estimated usage. He also repeatedly hassled my wife about a payment she had already made, forcing her to send multiple screenshots as proof.While the location is great, the poor condition of the property and the host’s unprofessional behavior made this a terrible experience. I would strongly recommend avoiding this rental—it’s not worth the stress and frustration.

This property was disappointing in several ways. The Dish Washer didnt work. The stove top was dirty and thappliances l couch we broken down.

Our condo was decent. Needs some repairing and cosmetic attention. The shower water didn’t get too warm but the shower was clean. But PERFECT location! We will be coming back that’s for sure!

A week in paradise...

The neighborhood was perfect and there were several food trucks avaible within a 10 to 15 min drive. The stay was clean but it does feel like an update might be needed. The shower was amazing. It had a washer and dryer which was useful. AC unit was only in the room which was fine for us since we were out and about most of the time. The owner answered all of my questions and was always prompt. Overall, it was a good experience without complaints.

Great stay!

Location was perfect in the north shore area and very convenient to access the pool, tennis court, and nearby beaches. I had no issues communicating with the owner; he was great and was responsive. The checking-in process went smooth and it had everything I needed during my stay. A few things in the condo needed to be fixed, but Kyle is aware of it. During my stay (beginning of Sept.), the weather was pretty hot and air wasn't flowing at all through the condo. However, the AC in the bedroom helped alot. Overall, great place. I would recommend and would stay there again. Thanks Kyle!

Great Location

Property is part of a large resort that is located at Turtle Bay. Lots of restaurants to choose from and perfectly located for golfing and swimming ... all within walking distance from the unit. The condo itself is adequate and the owner is pleasant and attentive ... but overall the condo is very 'tired' ... appliances are old and rusty, new comfortable couch would be welcome ... laundry closet was covered in mold, Louvre windows need servicing as only half opens in bedroom and living room. Overall though, we really enjoyed our time at Kawela Bay.

Should be better

The owner is very kind, promptly help us with doubts. I sugested that he can change the sofa and ilumination, was very very bad, Also the bathroom towels, that are old very very used. At the room was one window for insects broken and during the night with the wind it knocks several time that wont let us sleep. Small details that will improve the stay

cable tv and dishwasher not working

Property was ok but could not get cable tv to work. Dishwasher did not work and owner was aware of issue before our arrival. Owner was very nice on phone but issues were not addressed. Unit should have binder that detailed all the condos and turtle bays parameters etc. Despite these issues unit was satisfactory.

I'm a 61 year old chiropractor practicing here at my Santa Monica address since 1994. I live a few blocks away with my wife and daughter and ride my bike to work.

I graduated with a BS from Pepperdine University in 1984 where I played NCAA volleyball. I played competitive AVP Beach Volleyball for years, but stick with surfing, tennis, and skiing these days.

I love getting out of the city to beautiful Monarch Beach (where I grew-up and my parents still live) to surf & relax. I also get out to my Turtle Bay, Hawaii condo several times a year for more of the same. I fell very blessed. :)
