Ongeacht het seizoen is Skytop de ideale uitvalsbasis voor uw avonturen in Methow Valley. Gasten genieten van een spectaculair uitzicht, betoverende flora en fauna - allemaal op loopafstand van het centrum van Winthrop. Het huisje is toegankelijk voor rolstoelgebruikers.
Het hoofdgebouw werd in 2014 voltooid en een tweede slaapkamer - de elegante Treehouse Suite - werd twee jaar later toegevoegd. Voorzieningen zijn onder andere de opladerpoort voor elektrische auto's, gerecycleerde werkbladen voor bowlingbanen, gashaard en barbecue, een uitgebreide bibliotheek en dvd-collectie, supersnelle wifi en zelfs een bekende beroemdheid: 'Sue', een replica op ware grootte van het veld De beroemde T-Rex-schedel van het museum. De keuken is voorzien van een gasfornuis, magnetron en vaatwasser. De aparte Treehouse Suite beschikt over een gashaard, vrijstaand bad en adembenemend uitzicht op het tweede verhaal. Skytop-gasten kunnen het huren voor een extra $ 100 per nacht, rechtstreeks aan de eigenaar betaald. (Sorry, geen huisdieren.)

Perfect lil retreat

I stayed here for a week while in Winthrop for a workshop. Skytop is so lovely and is really what rentals should be - all the comforts from home plus little extras that make for a special stay. Everything was perfect and the view is unbeatable. I even had a sweet lil deer visitor on my porch one morning! Would definitely stay again.

A very special place

We had a great time at Skytop. Perfect location, very cool architecture, one of a kind decor (in a good way). We had guests in the Treetop Suite on a few weekends and they love it. The host is very responsive and accommodating. Definitely a wonderful place.

Fantastic Place

Stayed 8 nights. Expectations met in every way. The property is as-described or better. Very clean, very well maintained, and very well appointed throughout. Arrive with a bag of clothes and a couple of sacks of groceries and you’ll be all set. There are good grocery stores in both Winthrop and Twisp (real grocery stores, not just convenience stores). Highly recommend and hope to return myself.

Skytop Gets Top Marks

We had a lovely stay at Skytop. The location is perfect and the views are serene. The vacation rental is well appointed. Access to North Cascades and the popular hikes is an easy, straight forward drive. Our communication with Michael was positive - he was very responsive and helpful.

Great location and artistic ambience

Skytop is truly a work of art! The setting and views are magnificent. The location is fantastic. The style of the house and the many artistic touches blend perfectly with the surroundings. It is both an aesthetically pleasing and comfortable experience. The house is really well equipped and a joy to cook and eat in. And Michael is a very attentive host. Kudos to this fabulous VRBO!

Wonderful house that worked very well for our visit to this area. Saw a deer and family of quail out the kitchen window on different days. Kitchen had everything we needed. A/C did a great job keeping things comfortable with the 90 degree heatwave. Would gladly stay here again.

Winter Getaway

Once again our family had a lovely winter getaway at Skytop. This gorgeous home is conveniently close to Winthrop yet feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. We can't wait to come back next year!

Well worth it!!!

My husband and son enjoyed their week long getaway together. They were very impressed with everything! My husband is disabled and this place worked very well for him. They're ready to stay here again next year!

We want to come back to Skytop! It's great.

My wife and I stayed at Skytop for several nights to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. And what a great place it is! From its well-equipped kitchen to its funky industrial theme (including electrical insulator table legs), we enjoyed it immensely. The bed is comfortable, everything works well, and the rainfall shower is pretty neat. And then there's the T.Rex skull over the fireplace and all the cool metal art both inside and out. The location was perfect for us, being close to Winthrop but away from the "maddening crowds" there. We've stayed in a number of vacation rentals, and this one is our favorite. We'll be back!

Wow! Skytop is so beautiful! It is a must to stay here if in the area!

We stayed here as our home base for our hiking days. It was such a joy to come back and enjoy the front or back outdoor sitting areas and enjoy the mountain views. The interior decorations and comfort of inside were exceptional. We enjoyed having Pandora available. We were too enamored wire our place to waste time on TV! Our place was clean and kitchen utensils and personal items were all nicely available. We loved our stay!

Skytop is amazing, a work of art! Beautiful hilltop location. Our favorite time each day was sitting on the patio in the morning and evening enjoying the quite, just birds singing in the background and deer grazing near by. So peaceful.

A uniquely refreshing retreat

The home was perfect for 4 of us, and even better than expected, as the many prior reviews have noted. Very calming and zen like after a long drive. Listening to the Rhythm and Blues Festival from the home’s patio was a bonus… Early a.m. coffee on the patio included deer, chipmunks, and a gorgeous view. Michael was very flexible and accommodating. Would love to return…

Wonderful Winthrop Stay

Skytop was an incredible property! We stayed three nights and loved every minute. The views are incredible, there is wildlife just outside the front deck and the cabin is close in to the town of Winthrop and just a short drive to the Eastern edge of North Cascades National Park. Our host was friendly and responsive and the cabin was well stocked with anything we could need. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Fabulous getaway!

My mom and I traveled to Cascade National Park for an early birthday celebration. The place was minutes from downtown town Winthrop. The house was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The own is very accessible by phone, email, and text.

We were very happy with our accommodations. They were very spacious and comfortable. We had space to park several vehicles. You could sit outside, in the sun or shade depending on which side of the building you chose. The metal exterior and interior accents very novel and added to it's uniqueness. A deer visited us several mornings. We were out of town but yet close enough to walk there. Everything was provided to make our stay as homey as possible. Could of used a water hose to clean off the dust off our bikes at the end of the day. By no means a deal breaker. Would rent it again for sure.

Fantastic home base for all of your Methow Valley adventures

Beautiful home and property with all the amenities you need. The location is perfect, just a short walk into Winthrop and short drive to Twisp and Mazama while still feeling quite remote. Michael is a wonderful, communicative host and the property was spotless and very well equipped with dishes, cookware, and pantry essentials. This was our second stay and we plan to be back frequently, highly recommended!
