Our family homeplace will provide you a great vacation escape. Bring your boat and dock it on the beautiful, clean Satilla River. Swim in the heated pool or fish in the pond. You can even learn pickleball or play tennis on your own private court. Home sleeps ten--so it's the perfect place for a family gathering!

Woodbine is a small Southern coastal Georgia town within an easy drive to Brunswick, GA, St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, and Amelia Island, FL to the south. There's a cafe uptown that serves lunch on weekdays, a local hangout called Captain Stan's that has pretty good food, and a grocery store to meet your needs. The big city of Jacksonville is 45 minutes away, and the airport there is even closer. The Okefenokee Swamp provides a fascinating view of raw nature (alligators!) and is only 45 minutes away in Charlton County.

This home is ideal for those who want peace and serenity with river access.

Our outdoors campfire area will prove fun on cooler evenings. Roast weenies and marshmallows, sit around the fire, and swap stories. Create memories at Cypress Point!

Another pleasant stay

A short stay to enjoy the pool and the property. In addition to a very nice house, with all the comforts and amenities, the grounds include historic mossy cypress trees and are immaculately maintained - beyond any similar property I have stayed at. I look forward to returning!

Great place to stay

Beautiful area. The house was spacious, and clean and the beds were as comfortable as I have ever been in. The owner was great to work with. If you like a beautiful, quiet place this would be it. There is everything from pickleball courts, to a nice fishing dock, and bikes and a golf cart to explore the area.

Peaceful Girls Crafting Getaway

We were two sisters and a SIL staying for a restful long weekend away to relax, have fun and do some crafting. This beautiful property in an idealic setting, on the waterfront was perfect. It was secluded enough to be quiet and peaceful, but not so far away from civilization that you had to come completely prepared! Joel, the host, was very responsive, checked on us once via text to see if we needed anything and to let us know to feel free to reach out if needed. He even left us oranges from the trees on the property! We would definitely stay in this comfortable, well-kept, as advertised home again and highly recommend it to others, especially those with families!!! The home was built to accommodate and keep many more than just the three of us entertained and comfortable. Thank,s Jeol!

Exactly what we needed in a time of emergency

My family and I were displaced due to hurricane milton. This home had everything we needed and more. Plenty of space for everyone, pet friendly and all tge comforts of home. We were able to cook all of our meals here as the kitchen was full of pits pans spices and coffee. Internet speeds were great allowing me to be able to work as well. Joel was very gracious and caring. My only gripe is the water had a bad smell, im assuming its because of the well but im not sure. It also would have been nice to have Netflix or other streaming services but that really is me being nitpicky. We cant wait to come back and vacation in this home.

Private and Peaceful

We have room to roam, private pool and pickleball. Our favorite of the amenities is probably the bikes though. We love riding the bike path in the early mornings and late evenings. Joel is great and makes sure we have a wonderful stay.

Beautiful setting for relaxing

Beautiful property. The house is solid, full of light and quiet. We enjoyed the swimming pool, tennis court, bikes, and kayaking on the river. The Satilla River has 7-foot tides. We timed our kayaking to ebb tide. Between tides, the current is very strong. Most rooms in the house are spacious. The large dining table was great for meals and playing games. The bunk room is small. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and built wonderful memories.

Great Propery

We enjoyed our stay here, it had everything we needed. The house was so clean, which was very much appreciated! It’s a little dated as you can see in the pics, but fit our needs. The only suggestion we have is maybe some updated living room furniture. We didn’t use the front sitting room at all, but the other living area only had recliners loveseats, which limits seating. Overall, gorgeous property and views and pool!

Beautiful setting

We enjoyed our weeklong stay at Cypress Point. There was dock fishing and swimming in the screened-in pool to enjoy. There was also serious relaxing happening. Joel was fabulous to work with. There was an issue with a cable and Joel had someone there first thing the next morning. And he followed up to make sure the issue was resolved. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

My family enjoyed our week at Joel’s rental home. The house and grounds are beautiful! It included all the amenities you need. My grandson loved the pool. It is central to visiting Jacksonville, Jekyll Island, Amelia Island, Okeefenokee swamp, St Simons and more. We visited them all! Thank you for letting us stay in your house.

Beautiful home right on the river. Screened pool for bug free fun and grilling.

Beautiful home right on the river. Nice view from the charming screened porch off the master and one of the other bedrooms. More views from the main TV room and pool. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness of this home. I have weekly maid service for my home and she’s good; but she cannot touch whoever does this home. The gas “golf” cart was excellent for carrying supplies to the well lit boat dock with its own landing. I don’t pickleball, but everything you need is provided. There’s somewhere around 10 bikes, but I didn’t count them. I have never stayed in a rental so well stocked. In addition to a regular coffee maker there is a Keurig pod maker. There are TV’s in all the bedrooms AND kitchen. The main TV room has seating with 4 independent electric recliners. The TV includes too many channels and Netflix and more. Joel is a phone call away, but I missed meeting him. He doesn’t bother you unless you have a question. Check in is very seamless and flexible to use the pool upon early arrival if cleaning is not quite finished. Washer/dryer/dishwasher/a large pedestal fan for someone used to sleeping with one, but each room has a ceiling fan. The grounds are beautiful. There is a Dollar General and grocery store and a gas store not 2 miles away. It was just a great place and I very highly recommend that you don’t hesitate to make it your next family stay. John

Another great stay

I keep coming back to this beautiful and comfortable home for many reasons: It is in a quiet an accessible location, and has all of the entertainment and conveniences you could desire! A significant feature is the outstanding scenery in a spectacular private park-like setting and the riverfront location. I also love the heated pool! I am already looking at the calendar for another visit.

Fantastic house and vacation

Loved the house. All the amenities you need for your family. We stayed a week and loved it. Everything you need is in the house. Pool was fantastic. Did some fishing from the boat dock. Fish were jumping in the river, but did not like our bait. I will be booking this house again for a family vacation.

Henry Williams, Sr. and his wife Bebe built their home--Cypress Point--outside of Woodbine, GA in 1959. Current owners are brothers Joel and Henry Williams. The brothers participated in land-clearing, pond-digging, and some brick cleaning during the building. Bricks for the house came from the historic Oglethorpe Hotel in Brunswick. It's a family joke that Henry, Sr. was a hard taskmaster, paying the boys 'a penny a brick' for knocking the old mortar off the bricks. In reality, the boys cleaned very few bricks, but the story persists. Joel and Henry sincerely hope that you enjoy your stay at Cypress Point with all its Southern charm and beauty!

We've turned this property into a VRBO because we grew up here and love the land. We want our grandchildren to have the fun we had growing up. The opportunities are endless! Fish in the pond, ski in the river, play pickleball or tennis on your own private court, swim in the heated pool, learn to paddle a john-boat, roast marshmallows over the fire pit, hop on the golf cart for a town tour, ride the bikes around Woodbine or on the beautiful trail, or go to see one of our local sights: the Okefenokee Swamp, Cumberland Island National Seashore, historic St. Marys, Amelia beaches, quaint Fernandina, picturesque St. Simons Island, or the beaches and historic millionaires' cottages on Jekyll Island.
