Great place for home base for Charleston visit
We loved the location and the house was comfortable and well appointed. So many nearby excellent places to dine. The back bedroom gets really warm in the afternoon sun and needs insulated shades and the front bedroom is by street lights and needs room darkening shades. But overall we loved the place.

Great place!
We had a wonderful time in beautiful Charleston! We hit most of the tourist spots and enjoyed some fantastic restaurants. The property was perfect for two couples. We were able to relax and visit together comfortably, whereas in a hotel that would not have been as easy.

Great Location, Quaint, Clean & Fabulous Porch
My brother and our wives had a fabulous time here. The hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating. Walking distance to everything in the Downtown Historic District. Uber is readily available as we opted not to take advantage of the unit's parking spot.

Downtown Charleaton
I was very pleased with the property. It was conveniently located for entering/ exiting the city. It was surrounded by restaurant options and was a quick walk to King street. The property also has a very charming, fenced in yard that was perfect for afternoon cocktails and playtime for our dogs.

Great Vacation
This is a wonderful home in Charleston. It is a short walk to King Street and Bay Street as well as the Bay. The home is a beautiful with all the amenities you need for comfort. There is plenty to do and see in the area. The homeowners are easy to communicate with and deliver on what you see in the photos.

Great in town location
Beautifully maintained property with walk ability to downtown Charleston. The backyard was a wonderful oasis and just enough space to run our mini Aussie. Parking was very convenient through the back of the property. Restaurants close by, and we had all we needed to fix meals “at home”.

Cozy cottage in a location convenient to restaurants and sightseeing. Quick Uber rides down to the lower part of the peninsula. The only issue with the house, which is not solvable, is that the front bedroom is next to the street and is noisy at night from street and sidewalk traffic.

This house was adorable. It was perfect walking distance to downtown, restaurants, shops and beautiful Rainbow Row. It was perfect for our quick getaway. I will say that if you are a light sleeper, the front bedroom was on the street side and there were people walking past late into the night/morning so it was a little noisy. This room was also very bright as there is a streetlight right outside the window.

Two of us plus a dog stayed a month. The location is a block of King Street with many fun restaurants & bars. I frequented a bagel shop, Holey City, a block away and a sandwich shop,The Pass, a half block away. There was street noise so the front bedroom would have been an issue if it had been used. The bedroom in back was quiet. Its bed is softer & elevated. Only the front bedroom has a closet, which was enough for two staying a month. Both bedrooms have dressers. There are two nice bathrooms and a washer & dryer. The kitchen has a full size fridge, gas stove & microwave, All cooking essentials were provided including a crockpot. Street parking in the back is tight, but I drove a pickup and did fine. Street parking is hard to find and it's limited to two hours. It monitored closely and I saw several vehicles towed. The back yard was nice sized and fenced which was great for the dog. Overall, we enjoyed it very much and would certainly recommend it.

My son was getting married in Charleston and your property was the perfect location. We had an amazing time and the space was perfect for my husband and I and my daughter and her fiancé. The backyard was wonderful to get together with the new in-laws and toast the occasion. We will definitely be back for another visit. Thank you.

Not happy!
The bathroom in the front of the house was a disaster! The sink stopper was stuck shut until the guys in our group removed it entirely. We then put a pasta pot under the sink drain to use the sink . The bathtub did not have a stopper so a washcloth had to be used as a plug so the tub could be partially filled for a brief, half-filled, inadequate bath experience. Nothing was done by the landlord to fix either major problem. Very disappointing!

Lovely Home and Great with Dogs!
We spent three days enjoying this lovely, private home with a large fenced yard for our two dogs. Very good restaurants and a cute little store nearby made it very convenient. Downtown activities were a short drive away. With taxes and fees, it was quite a bit more than the base rental price, but we had a great time, nonetheless.

The house is cute and well appointed. We appreciated the small fenced in garden and porch for our little dog. The main issue is the level of noise from the traffic. It’s a main road and during our stay the only quiet evening was when it rained, there were less people driving around with loud music. Even the rear bedroom is noisy and there’s a need for darker blinds as it’s very bright from early morning. The host kindly included tray tables for dining on the sofa. Parking is not onsite and it’s a bit dark to walk to where the car is parked, although close by. The area feels safe enough to walk but be vigilant.. do bring walking shoes as the main areas aren’t as close as hoped. 5 nights Nov 29-Dec 4 Host was attentive but due to lack of sleep, would not stay there again. Overall a nice stay.

Why they chose this property

Charleston was one of our first trips together and where we fell in love! We returned many times since then and decided this would be a great place to have a second home. It has become a wonderful place to enjoy family & friends. Please, make yourselves comfortable and welcome to Charleston!

What makes this property unique

We put a lot into the remodeling of our home and wanted to keep certain artistic features. The bar counter was salvaged wood from within the walls and the fireplaces now exposed, were covered in plaster. They now make a beautiful accent to the living area and bedroom. Now, completed we have enjoyed it very much. It took almost 2 years to reconstruct. Countless trips back and forth from Greenville (3 hours one way) sometimes roundtrip in the same day. We love the location and simply walk to all our favorite restaurants and shops..
