About this property

Large modern house with huge open great room and four large bedrooms with baths

Blueberry lodge was built as a family vacation home suited to social gatherings. The lodge is 4200 square feet, with four large bedrooms with en suite full baths on the ground floor and a 2100 square foot open great room on the second floor.

Designed by renowned architect Piet Van Dijk, this modern lodge is designed to comfortably accommodate the needs of different family arrangements while providing a gracious and convivial social space.

The master suite contains a king sized bed, a kitchenette, dressers and large closets and a large bathroom with a double shower and vanity.

The second bedroom has a king that can be converted into two twins and a full bath with large shower.

The third bedroom has a queen sized bed, a full sized fold out futon and a full bath with shower and tub.

The fourth bedroom has a king that can also be converted into two twins, a queen sized murphy bed and a full bath with shower.

The entry hall is large and open with plenty of winter clothing storage and a couch. There is also a large separate laundry room on this floor.

The ground floor is heated with radiant 'in floor' heating which is very comfortable in the cold weather months.

The great room has a cathedral ceiling and a monitor that adds light and regulates heat in the summer. It comprises a large open kitchen, a formal living area, a dining area, a full bar, a gaming area, a billiards table that doubles as a ping pong table and a media viewing area with a 42" TV.

The lodge has DirecTV and high speed internet. There are also two wood burning stoves and a large exterior deck with a gas grill.

Renters will be able to use one bay of the separate three car garage.

Outside there is also a large slate tile patio under the deck, a wood storage shed and a covered entry way with a small patio.

There is a 'Boules' court and picnic table to one side of the house.

Finally, while Blueberry Lodge is deep in the mountains of southern Vermont on top of scenic Ames Hill, it is only twelve minutes from Interstate 91 in West Brattleboro Vermont so it is surprisingly convenient for visitors from the south.

THE best cabin

Truly one of the best rentals I’ve ever stayed in. Beautifully built cabin, gorgeous design and decor. I loved all the art on the wall as well as the furniture. The large upstairs room was so fun for our group and we really enjoyed playing ping pong, watching tv by the fire, games and meals at the large table, and making dinner together in the spacious kitchen. The beds were sooo comfy and rooms so cozy. We never needed anything and appreciated all the wood to keep the fires going all week. Fun to visit the sugar farm down the road! We loved the location so much and wish we could stay for two weeks! Thank you!!

PERFECT PLACE TO STAY IN VT!

Overall this is the best place we've stayed in VT over the many years we've come here for Christmas with our family. This was a property that is next level with all details taken care of for whatever you may need or not even know you need. Wonderful hosts and amazing accomodations.

Great place for a family gathering!

Spacious, well-appointed, comfortable, fun, cozy. Great place for an extended family get together - lots of space to be together, and to break off into smaller groups, to play games, to watch tv or read, lots of kitchen prep and hangout space. Would go back and highly recommend.

perfect spot for a winter VT getaway

We splurged on this for a February ski weekend - two families w kids - and are so glad we did. The house is beautiful - clean, airy, but cozy at the same time, and the large open living space on the second floor made it easy to spend time together. So many thoughtful touches - everythign we could need in the kitchen, toys and games for the kids - even a big bin of duplos for the little guy - and beautiful hand-painted watercolors on the walls. Can't wait to return someday : )

Perfect house for large groups.

We were in VT for my mother’s burial and wanted a house where my sisters, myself and our families could all be together. This house was perfect!! It is a bit out there but totally worth it. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable and each has its own bathroom attached!! Yay! The upstairs was a huge, open gathering area. Big kitchen, TV area, bar, game area, sitting area, pool/ping pong area and big dining table. It was so amazing we actually ended up coming back to our place with all the extra food to visit with our VT family. The host was also fantastic and very responsive! We LOVE this house and hope to be back again.

Friends Weekend Getaway

We had an awesome awesome weekend. A couple of our guests noted “they need to update their vrbo pictures because this place is way better in real life.” That was absolutely true. The only challenge whatsoever was the road leading to the property, but we were prepared with trucks to make it. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of perfection with us.

Autumn getaway

The place is great. Lots to do. It was a rainy weekend so all the inside game activities came in handy. The extra touches…water bottles in bedrooms, soap and shampoo, tissues in all bedrooms. Little things that made for a wonderful welcome. Explored a few towns nearby and the people were very friendly. Would definitely visit this home again. Thank you

Christmas Cheer with the Whole Family

Our extended family of eleven, 19 to 77yo, stayed at Blueberry Lodge for Christmas Eve & Christmas night. The building's design is perfect for a family get-together: all bedrooms on the first floor and most with ensuite bath. Guests can settle in as they arrive and then come upstairs when they're ready to talk, snack, play a game, cook or listen to music. The open plan second floor is roughly divided into four areas: kitchen/dining; games (pool/ping pong and board game tables); and two separate living room areas at opposite corners, one with and without TV.Comfortable and accommodating throughout. The house is used for outings by and/or visits from the owner's extended family and it is supplied like a house that's been lived in. Anything you think might be missing you'll come across one or two cabinets later. Lots of different plate sets for dinner or dessert & hors d'oeuvres; a bar area with every kind of glassware you might need. The kitchen 'island' is twice as long as any I've seen before and provides tremendous counter space for meal prep or a terrific place for people to sit on stools and enjoy coffee or breakfast.Only one issue (insufficient hot water) which the owner's son solved within 45 minutes ON CHRISTMAS DAY!! Communication was friendly and helpful: we asked about a local place to get a Christmas tree and they offered to set up the tree stand and take out the tree after we left. Can't think of a thing I'd change.

Huge fmaily lodge nestled in the woods

Birdsong filled the air, we used the lodge as home base for a wedding in Dummerston 25 minutes away. We loved passing farms and being out in the woods and - -because it wasn't clear how many family members would be able to join -- we loved how many beds and baths the Blueberry Lodge offered just in case. Well-supplied upstairs kitchem w/dishwasher, microwave, all-important icemaker in the fridge, and outside deck, lots of light, and foosball and pingpong too. The beds were comfortable and having a washer/dryer came in handy. Cindy was very responsive and clear and we loved

Yearly Retreat

This was my third year spending a weekend at Blueberry Lodge with a group of friends. The common area of the house is large enough to accommodate a group of adults lounging, cooking, playing board games, or accidentally falling asleep on one of the couches. And the bedrooms are all clean, comfortable and cozy. The hosts are incredibly communicative and responsive. I was especially grateful for that this year when a nor'easter knocked out power in the area just before the weekend. I was able to discuss all of our options with them and make an informed decision about our trip. There is a reason we keep coming back. Blueberry Lodge is a wonderful spot for a weekend in Vermont.

Annual Fall Weekend

This house is exactly as pictured. It is a lovely Vermont home with many homey touches. You can tell by the decorating and different areas of the home that the owners really take pride in this home and enjoy renting it out so others can enjoy it. The setup allows for TV watching, quiet reading, ping pong or a drink at the bar without being in each other's way. This home was very clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. I would definitely recommend staying at Blueberry Lodge.
