Unit is a comfortable 1bedroom/1bath with newly installed vinyl flooring, full kitchen: stove/oven, microwave, full fridge and plates/pots/pans/utensils/glass ware, King size bed in bedroom with dresser drawers and closet. Full bath tub with shower, towels are provided along with beach towels & blow dryer. Ceiling fans in both living room and bedroom to keep cool. Oh and did I say AIR CONDITIONING! Yes I did!!!!

Don't stay anywhere else in Kihei!

Wow this apartment is fantastic! If, like me, you are concerned about the lack of recent reviews, don't be! This apartment is exactly as described and the view really is that breathtaking! I don't think the pictures do the apartment justice and when you step into the apartment and see top floor uninterrupted views over the beautiful lawns and ocean you won't be disappointed you booked here. The condo itself is a lovely place in an excellent location with great amenities. The hotel next door have a little shop where you can get any essentials and a great little beachside bar/restaurant who do a really good happy hour (more like happy day really as it runs most of the day). The beach is just a few steps away and oh what a beautiful beach it is. Everything you could hope for from your dream Hawaii vacation! The area immediately surrounding the condo is great for snorkelling and there are loads of lovely of sea turtles just steps away! In fact this little cove is where the tour companies bring boats of people to see turtles and here you can have them for free everyday right on your doorstep! The apartments all face west so the sunsets are stunning! We were undecided about whether to stay in Kihei/Wailea or Ka'annapali and, after visiting the other areas, I'm so glad we chose here! The owners themselves have good communication and provide you with all the info you need to know prior to your arrival. The only small point I think that could make this place perfect was if the apartment included beach chairs/snorkel gear for you to use however you can hire all these things relatively cheaply locally so it's not really an issue. All in all I cannot recommend this place highly enough and I wouldn't think about staying anywhere else if I was to return to the beautiful Hawaiian islands!

Perfect location and incredible views!

My husband and I spent 12 days at this condo and absolutely LOVED IT. The location is perfect (Kihei, in general, but this specific location was perfect for our vibe). It's easy to get everywhere on the island, and while the town of Kihei is right up the road, this condo unit was quiet, yet active and has a beautiful park adjacent to the building. Every evening at sunset the park came alive with neighbors and vacationers to watch the gorgeous sunset. We saw whales every single day from the lanai (we were there the very end of March), and we saw sea turtles and enjoyed watching the daily activities from the boat ramp. There are 2 beautiful beaches within steps of the condo, among the many gorgeous beaches on the island.While the unit could use a few upgrades, the bed itself was comfortable, the AC was very nice to have, and it had all the basics for an extended stay.Thank for your sharing your beautiful property with us - we FULLY intend to come again! 5/5 Stars.

What a view!

The view is spectacular. Whales and sea turtles were easy to spot from the lanai. Kihei boat launch is a very short walk away. Keawakapu Beach very short walk away also. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. No dishwasher or condiments left in frig. No big deal. I would definitely stay here again. Mahalo!

Great Location

We loved this place. IT had a great community feel and the view was amazing. the bed was very comfortable too. We didn't realize there isn't a dishwasher, but it worked out ok.

March break stay

Perfect location! Comfortable bed, nice to have the AC in the bedroom. Bathroom could use a little maintenance… sink tap needs re-caulked behind it. Well-equipped kitchen, Overall fantastic stay!

Kihei Delight

We have stayed at Kihei Surfside many times and it is always very enjoyable. This condo is on the 6th floor, with a sweeping view, quiet (except for the sea), perfect comfort, clean and well equipped. People we've met were always friendly and helpful. There is a community spirit here which is lacking at typical resorts.

606 condominium

I love staying at the maui surf rider. When we arrived the apartment was very dirty and no cleaned from previous guest. we went to the office but the office was closed due to short staffing. We say some housekeeping with a bag labeled 606 so J asked them in Spanish if they were cleaning 606. They said yes but it not booked until tomorrow and showed me the paperwork. We dot a hold of Lauren and she said it was miscommunication. We got the apartment 2 hours later. Lauren was helpful and even purchased 2 chairs since there was only one beach chair but we had already purchased one. She dropped them off anyway. Our stay was good. Over all condition of apt needs some renovation.

Beautiful location! Ideal sunset spot

We loved the location. We've stayed at Surfside before but on a different floor. This 6th floor location was incredible! The views exceeded our expectations, the sunsets were amazing. The unit itself was very comfortable. It was just two of us so we were very comfortable with the space. The dining room table is very small so that's something to consider if you have more than 2 people. There is no dishwasher in the kitchen, so prepare to wash dishes by hand if you like to cook (we do). The lanai is wonderful and we enjoyed many sunset dinners there. (the grills by the pool are fantastic and you can get fresh fish in kihei) There is no air conditioning but the breeze was enough to keep us cool and comfortable. My only drawback was that we both work remotely so internet access was critical. The provided internet username and password were not working so we reached out to the owner but never got a response. Thankfully the next day we contacted the office downstairs and the manager was super helpful and gave us a new username and password. Without his help we would have been very stressed. The office staff was very helpful and handled every question that we had. We'd definitely stay at Surfside again! The snorkeling outside cannot be beat!

Great condo location

Perfect for my family of 4. So happy we opted for on-the-beach over in-room laundry. The setting is beautiful with amazing sunset views from the balcony every night.

This condo was in a great location, and the view was fantastic. However, this condo is about 30 years past needing to be remodeled. Furniture was old and broken, kitchen was very poorly equipped. Sheets, bedding and towels were so cheap and old, and the bathroom had mold. Would absolutely stay at the property again, but not that unit.

It’s a condo. It’s a place to sleep. Unit is nice. Think they need to put a hand hold for coming out of the shower. Oceanfront., sunsets off the lanai. Wouldn’t stop you from renting this.

Surfside good location

Surfside location was very good: nice beaches, quiet, easy walk to town. Host was very responsive. The condo itself could use some updating, but clean, very well supplied with all needed for pleasuresble stay.

Great location, could use updating

We have stayed at Kihei Surfside before with my in-laws and loved it! Pros- great location, had chairs, an umbrella, and water toys (snorkeling items) to use. The bed was comfortable and even though this building doesn't have AC the room had a good amount of fans so we stayed pretty comfortable in mid-Nov. Its close to grocery stores as well as shops and a ton of restaurants which is why we have been coming here for years and my in-laws have been coming to this particular resort for even longer. Cons- THE SHOWER! I didn't go back extremely far in the reviews but after taking a few showers I did to see if this was a new issue and noticed the same issue back in Dec of 2017. The shower was terrible, the water pressure is ridiculous to the point it hurts trying to take a shower and you cannot even wash your face directly in the water. updating the shower head at a minimum with the ability to adjust the water will be extremely helpful especially since we usually shower at least a few times a day after swimming and before dinners etc. I would not recommend it for children it would be too painful and the tub is missing the piece to plug the water so I don't think you could take a bath. The other side is the shower curtain. As the 2017 review stated there is a weird vortex that happens so the whole curtain gets sucked in and wraps around you so while you are dodging the extreme high pressure water you are wrapped in a shower curtain. It usually took 3 of my full size bottles to pin the curtain down so that got old since again we were using the shower at least twice a day per person. The shower was the entire reason the review isn't 5 stars but with updating that would make all the difference. Another update that would be great would be a dish washer. There isn't one listed but that would be a great update to the condo.

Surfside stay

We have been staying at the Surfside for a number of years and love it! Great access to long walks along the beach, beautiful sunsets, a brand NEW pool & wll maintained condo complex. We actually snorkel & scuba right out front...lots to see!

Very disappointing

We arrived and were told the pool would be closed for the next two months and as we went to the unit we heard construction going on below in the pool area below. We were not told about any of this before our arrival. When we finally got a hold of the property manager we agreed on a partial refund. While checking my account I noticed the shorted us on the refund so we had to contact the property manager to correct the amount which they did. With all of this the unit was subpar and needed to be maintained properly.
