House was great, but the location was even better. Beautiful sunrises can be seen everyday, very quiet and nice private beach.
Would stay here again for certain
We rented this charming log dwelling to enjoy a week with family and get together with local friends. Lake Superior never fails to delight and it's always good fun visiting Marquette.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn't have been happier with the house, amenities, and location. The property was impeccably maintained and provided everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The owners were fantastic at communicating, ensuring we had all the information we needed before and during our visit. We highly recommend this home!
My son was getting married up in Big Bay so since we enjoyed this Beautiful place last year we decided to reserve it again. The weather wasn't as nice but we still enjoyed the beach area. She has many games upstairs to play but we did buy a puzzle and put that together. If you want a beautiful place to stay for all ages...This is a must Stay!! Lots of rooms/bed, huge kitchen, 2 full bathrooms and a 3/4 upstairs. Getting to the beach is very accessible for which I need because I have an adult (child) that has a small form of cerebral palsy and he can make it down there...so It works out Perfect.
We had 6 adults and 4 children in our group and we stayed for 6 nights. We all loved the house and the beach. The location was great! We enjoyed the privacy of being at the end of the road and the view of Lake Superior on every side of the peninsula was amazing. Everyone swam and enjoyed the sandy beach. We only left a couple times to get groceries and spent a day at Agate Beach. It was very relaxing and we would love to stay again.
Large comfortable house with that “up north Michigan” feel. Great views from inside and out. Sandy beach and nice walk down beach. Large kitchen, family room and dining areas. Plenty of tv channels. Canoe on property and kayaks for rent in Big Bay.
Excellent paddling to rock cliffs nearby. Not too busy road and trail bike riding from house. Good breakfast diner and two nice dinner restaurants a mile away in Big Bay. Tennis courts in Big Bay (we modified for Pickleball). Great trails, lookouts and waterfalls in area. Easy drive to Marquette.
Looking forward to a return trip.
Spacious home with large kitchen and wonderful views. The weather was not very nice but we had a great time hiking, golfing and going in the boat tour if pictured rocks. We had fun at the breweries in Marquette as well. I would definitely recommend this place.
We loved the big kitchen. A great property. Wonderful lake Superior views. Bedding and towels could be updated. Everything you could need is provided. The beach was a great plus. Thanks for the use of your home...😊😊😊
Lots of room for our family of 6, with a spacious kitchen, and comfortable sleeping. Beautiful, all sand beach (did miss looking for rocks/beach glass). There’s a great view from the yard. Unfortunately, there was a continuous squeak, coming from the harbor area, during our stay.
We absolutely loved our stay. Ours was a group of six: my husband and I, our thirty one year old son and his girlfriend, and our twenty eight year old daughter and her boyfriend. We live on the East and West coasts, so this vacation provided a way for us to spend time together in a beautiful place after a long hiatus (too long!) due to Covid.
The rental is a lovely large home that is surrounded on three sides by water. There are amazing views and hang-out spots, both indoors and out, with group spaces as well as little private nooks to relax and enjoy the expansive feeling surrounding the place. We loved the sound of the waves. And the water was warm and swim-able!
The house had everything we needed for a fun, relaxing stay. Mary Pat is a wonderful host! She is so accommodating, helpful and friendly. Felt as though we'd known each other a long time. We'll have many fond memories of this vacation. Hope to return.
The host Mary Pat was wonderful to deal with and very accommodating. A wonderful house to stay at, in a great location. Defiantly will be returning someday!
We had it all, beautiful home, amenities, enough bathrooms, boat launch near by and the sandy beach of Lake Superior!! Our host was also Superior. Fantastic memories!
We enjoyed our week on the lake, with plenty of space for our family, and good hiking and biking opportunities near by. The boys enjoyed having the beach right outside the door!
Mary Pat was available to help, she felt like an old friend. We played in the sun, sand and water. Had great meals together. Camp fires every night
Such a beautiful home to stay in
Thank you for a wonderful vacation.
To start, Mary Pat has to be sweetest lady I’ve ever met. The house is beautiful and the view is hard to put into words, breathtaking doesn’t do it justice. My family and friends were there for a week and absolutely loved our stay. Mary Pat was extremely helpful if we needed anything. The town was full of friendly and helpful people. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a beautifully equipped cabin (that could actually sleep more than 10 in comfort!) about a half hour west of Marquette. Games, a canoe, a shallow beach and a complete kitchen (plus TV & DVD player) make life here entertaining and easy. Urban amenities are a ways off, but Lake Superior is at your door~
Beautiful sunrise every morning. Toasting marshmallows over the fire every evening. And in between, swimming and canoeing in Big Bay or hiking to summits and waterfalls.
