Located in a lemon grove

The cottage is surrounded by lemon, orange trees and flowers but is only a 10 min walk to the main piazza and shopping street in Sorrento. Maria Laura is a wonderful responsive host. The property is immaculely clean.

Gem in Sorrento

This property is fantastic! The owner is so nice and welcoming and communication was easy and consistent in the app. House was very clean and plenty of space for the 2 of us. It is nestled in a lemon and orange grove which makes sitting on the patio so relaxing. 10 minute walk to town but like all things on the coast, hilly. Shower has enough hot water for one get ready shower so we had to plan our get ready time accordingly. Needs 30 minutes to recharge, No big deal once you know. We loved it here. Great restaurant right up the hill called Da Filippo which was so convenient and beautiful. Close to the train station and port so it made getting around easy. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone. Thank you!

Sorrento Escape

Great little hideaway near the center of the best of Sorrento. Maria was a fabulous host with many nice extra touches like fresh fruit, teas, and snacks upon arrival. Cozy place where all appliances, heaters and features were in perfect working order. A great place to be immersed in the best of Sorrento with perfect privacy. I definitely recommend!

Wonderful oasis

This cute apartment was perfect for us and our two teen daughters. Laura is very communicative, responds quickly and did her best to assist us in every way. The apartment requires a walk up a pretty steep hill (like a lot of Sorrento!!) but if that's not a problem for you, I would highly recommend!

Wonderful two week stay in downtown Sorrento

We stayed for two weeks in April 2024 and had a wonderful trip. The house was just as expected with all of the amenities you could want. Everything was clean and worked well. Maria is the best host one could ask for. She communicated several times each week asking if there was anything she could help us with. She even provided us a basket with pasta, homemade sauce and goodies from her garden. Having citrus trees in the backyard was great to pick fresh lemons, oranges, grapefruit and more as well as just to sit underneath and read a book and relax. Highly recommended!!!

Sorrento

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights. We had a little difficulty finding the home which is situated in a gated community. A call to Maria promptly led us in the correct direction and in addition she came out to meet us. The home is a 20 minute walk to the center of town however as with much of Italy, there is a significant hill to negotiate on the way back. The home was equipped and Maria and her husband were wonderful. Her husband drove us to the bus stop at 5:30am on the day we left Sorrento. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Affordable Secluded Gem

Loved being able to escape the crowds and heat in the shaded garden at day’s end. While there, we never drove our rental and were appreciative of being able to safely park behind electric gate. Everything was walkable. Also loved doing laundry before returning to the states. Laura’s place was quiet and clean. We would stay again! Sorrento is a great place to base an Amalfi stay from. A day trip to Capri is a must!

Cute, quiet location

The host was communicative and friendly, welcoming us with kindness to her cute apartment in her lemon grove. The apartment is a 15-minute walk from the train station and to the city center. The apartment is inside a gated compound and is clean and spacious. The air conditioner cooled the apartment well.

Very quiet and peaceful place. A little bit of walk with hills. But it was worth it.

It's a perfect place for 4. LAURA was a very nice and help us with directions. Sorrento it's a wonderful place on earth.

A couple of days in Sorrento

We had a wonderful stay in our roomy little cottage in Sorrento. Maria was amazing, she even picked us up at the train station and dropped us off after. Everything was clean and exactly how it looked in the photos. Maria had thought of everything; she had a few snacks on the table for our arrival, lots of tourist information pamphlets and even extra plug adapters which was much appreciated. It was only a short walk to the main square of town and we found the location very convenient. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone going to Sorrento.

Quiet and serene

We loved staying in Maria Laura's apartment for 6 nights. From the first moment we felt at home. As soon as you come through the green metal gate you feel the coolness and scent of the lemon trees. Hidden away between higher houses and busy Sorrento streets this place makes you feel relaxed right away. There is a lovely sitting place in front of the apartment where we had our breakfast. The apartment itself is super clean and contains everything you need. We loved the green yellow and white design of the kitchen and the white tiles that also bring nice coolness on hot days. Maria Laura was extremely helpful and very lovely. Make sure to try her wonderful jams and the home made limoncello! We hope to return soon.

Great Host, short walk to city and beach

Maria was an amazing host who picked us up and dropped us off when we arrived and left even though we left early in the morning. She quickly replied to all of my messages and even let us use her beach towels and umbrella. It was a short 10 min+ walk to the city center and then a little farther to the beach. It was a beautiful town to stay in.

Excellent stay in Sorrento

We had a fabulous 9 day stay with Maria. She goes out of her way to make you feel at home including picking up and dropping off at the train station. It was great to be able to open the door and pick an orange off the tree for breakfast or pick a lemon for cooking dinner. The place was clean and well equipped, no complaints at all. It is a bit of a hike up the hill to her place from downtown but we did it daily with no problems. Thanks Maria

Great Experience

Enjoyed this villa immensely! The owner could not have been more helpful. She provided transportation from/to the train station for our arrival and departure. The villa is clean and well furnished and again, Maria Laura was extremely helpful to us. She made us feel welcomed! We particularly enjoyed the front patio surrounded by a grove of lemon, orange, kiwi and olive trees. The walk to and from downtown Sorrento, as mentioned in several reviews, is invigorating. However, I appreciated it each day after a filling meal at the dozens of excellent restaurants within walking distance. Kudos to Maria Laura for making our 1st visit to the Amalfi Coast a memorable one!

Lovely Apartment in a Lovely Setting

Maria Laura was a wonderful host! She went over maps and directions and gave us tips and suggestions. She even gave us a welcome breakfast basket with home made jams from her lemon grove! There was a nice sized modern bathroom with plenty of towels. We enjoyed the outside patio in the afternoon for a glass of wine al fresco. Ten minute walk to town center with access to buses, trains and ferries. Walk back is uphill but doable. Maria Laura was gracious and friendly.

Maria was a great host. She was very flexible and accommodating regarding check in and check out and provided an abundance of information about the area. The accommodations were exactly as pictured and described. The location was perfect within walking distance of the train station and Sorrento. We enjoyed our stay adjacent to the lemon grove!

Beautiful location in Lemon Grove!

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. Maria Laura was a wonderful host and very accommodating. We were able to arrange check-in and check out with her very easily. The location is about a 10 minute walk to the city center. Very convenient as we walked back and forth a few times per day. The road back is up hill so just be prepared. The unit had everything you would need. Our only complaint was the bed. The mattress was pretty uncomfortable and seemed like it was at the end of its life. It certainly didn't ruin our trip and we would definitely stay again. Before we left, I even purchased homemade limoncello and jam from Maria Laura. She wrapped them beautifully and made it easy for us to transport back to the US. We hope to go back to Sorrento and stay again!
