Highland Visit

Beautiful period detached cottage in a peaceful location off the beaten trail. Warm and cosy, but spacious, with an open fire in the wood panelled living room. Beautiful 😍

Beautiful house & area

So homely, easy to relax here and whatever the weather there is always plenty to do. Walks are easy to access from the door, dolphins up the road, castles, waterfalls, fossil beach on the Black Isle and always reading or games in the conservatory. Inverness itself is so convenient but you feel as if you’re fully in the countryside. Our second holiday here and hopefully not our last.

Perfect Highland Holiday

We had the perfect family Highland holiday in Mor Carraig with our young son (1yo) and his grandparents (70s). The property is as described and the photos do not do the viewing justice. The owner was quick to respond to queries we had during the holiday. We are already trying to plan when we can return for another holiday there!

A much needed break

The house is set in a private but not secluded position with excellent views over loch Ness towards the mountains. The conservatory might get a bit cold, it was the middle of winter after all, but the main house is cosy and warm with plenty of fuel for the open fire if you care to use it. The kitchen is well appointed and the utility room set out so washing cloths is easy. All in all, an excellent place to stay and recharge. Both the owner and property manager were easy to reach for the few issues that came up and things went very smoothly.

Lovely cosy but spacious cottage with fab views.

Booked this last minute and what a gem. Lovely place our dog loved the garden and snow. We really relaxed and enjoyed our Christmas. The cottage has everything you need. Lovely conservatory over looking loch ness and great to watch the dawn with a cuppa. Will definitely keep on our to go back list. Thanks to the owner for providing a beautiful home from home stay. We had a fantastic stay. The views are stunning. The property is clean and cosy. Our Dog loved the garden. There are great walks from the front door. Would recommend this property. Feels very remote but is only 15mins from the centre of Inverness.

Our 2nd Visit

We love this cottage. Tucked away up a private road, it's really quiet. You can spend time just watching the changing scenery over Loch Ness and the deers and the rabbits playing in the garden. It is so relaxing.

It is such a shame that the owner had no pride in this property. It is a lovely place in an unrivalled position. Sadly when we arrived the place was dirty, the curtain in the bedroom was hanging off the rail, the bedding is old and lumpy. These are all thing easily put right if you have the desire to do so.

Walks from the cottage are excellent no need to drive, however lots of interesting places are only a short drive away.

Interesting hideaway above Loch Ness

Spacious property with great views. Sitting room could do with a better layout and the property would benefit from a deep clean. Property manager was very helpful and friendly and the bottle of Proseco a very welcome surprise.

Celebrate birthday with friends

We had a lovely time in the cottage, fantastic location, views and very comfortable. Had the best 50th birthday ever. Went into Inverness, what a beautiful city. The only thing I would recommend is maybe on arrival there is coffee, tea etc so we could have had a hot drink before we found the nearest shop. The log fire was amazing and the property was very warm and cosy. Fantastic time was had by all.
