Perfect vacation spot for relaxing and exploring!

Our second visit was even better than our first! We have been wanting to come back to Villa Simo since our stay 5 years ago. It was as wonderful as we remembered. The owners Simonetta and Cristiano are warm and welcoming, providing information on the villa as well as the surrounding area, and they take such great care of their beautiful villa. There were 8 of us across 3 generations, and the house was perfect for us. We cooked dinner every night in the well-equipped kitchen then sat around the long dining room table with the windows open overlooking olive groves and vineyards until the sun set. We used 4 of the 5 bedrooms - though it was warm, we only used air conditioning in 2 bedrooms - the evening air was cool. The pool was a highlight - early in the morning we would take a dip or have coffee and read poolside, and after a day of exploring small hill towns, we loved coming back to a refreshing swim. We highly recommend a wine tour and tasting at Tolaini, a local winery that grows its own grapes just 1km from the villa. Several times through the week we had to pop over to the winery to purchase more wine to accompany our Italian meals in this gorgeous setting! We have wonderful memories of our week together at the villa - where the pace of life is slow and we treasure our time together. This is the perfect place for relaxing and a great base to explore Siena and small towns in Tuscany. We hope to be back again someday. Thank you, Simonetta and Cristiano!

A Classic Villa in Tuscany

We just completed a week at Villa Simo and had a wonderful time. This place met all our expectations. This place has great character and privacy and is where you come to get away from it all. It is a classic restored farmhouse amid olive orchards in a quiet isolated location, which is perfect, if that is what you want in a Tuscany vacation. It is close to Siena and a short (<90 min) drive from Montelpulciano, Montalcino and Florence. The pool deck and views are perfect and the living room w/huge fireplace was very comfortable for six adults. The bedrooms are large and the beds very comfortable, however, tall people need to duck to clear the older short doorways. Keep in mind this villa should not be considered a modern or luxury accommodation. However, it is very quiet, peaceful, comfortable, with beautiful views and very affordable. The kitchen does not have modern stainless appliances and the wifi has limited range but are totally adequate. There are numerous great restaurants within a 15 minute drive. Considering the total rental price, ~1650€, incl utilities & cleaning, this place represents one of the better values in villa rentals in Tuscany.

Quiet and beautiful

We’ve spent wonderful week with family in Villa Simo. It’s been one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever seen and we have traveled to Italy for many times before. The house is beautifully located in quiet, remote plot overlooking the beautiful Chianti hills. Interior is very tasty, simple as for an old stone house. In één woord Geweldig

Met gezin van 8 volwassenen een week verbleven in deze geweldige villa. Mooie kamers, een geweldige tuin met heerlijk zwembad! Het ligt wat afgelegen en een half uurtje rijden voor de supermarkt, maar voor ons gezin was dat geen probleem. Pizza’s gebakken in de pizza oven, de keuken was ook ruim voorzien van spullen. Siena is een half uurtje rijden. Aantal wijnhuizen in de buurt bezocht. En ook een aantal keren heerlijk gegeten bij geweldige restaurants in de buurt of iets verder weg. Wij raden deze locatie zeker aan!

Traumhafter Urlaub in einer wunderbaren Landschaft

Wir waren 5 Personen und hatten einen wundervollen Urlaub in dem abseits gelegenen und sehr gut ausgestatteten Ferienhaus inmitten eines sehr gepflegten Grundstücks. Die Kommunikation mit Simonetta war ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie war jederzeit zu erreichen und hat aufgetretene Probleme rasch gelöst. Die Zufahrt zum Haus war zunächst etwas schwierig zu finden und ist für tiefer gelegte Fahrzeuge nicht zu empfehlen. Insgesamt haben wir den Urlaub in diesem Haus sehr genossen und können es guten Gewissens empfehlen.

Tuscany at his best

The house is well equipped and perfect if you are looking for a quiet and out of the way house. Still a quick drive to Siena where everything can be found. would definitely recommend.

Heaven!

The best hide away. Total sanctuary from today’s world. Our adult family had a wonderful week staying at the house, enjoying the space and peace. It’s hidden away down a very bumpy lane. I suggest no low cars if you are lucky enough to visit. An excellent base from which to explore Tuscany. The property is beautifully restored and very well maintained. It is surrounded by olive and fig trees with its own herd of deer who normally appear late at night to chomp on the grass. If you love being embraced by nature this is the place for you. Thank you to the wonderful (& extremely helpful) owners for sharing.

Phantastic location in an outstanding Tuscan landscape

We had an outstanding week in an gorgeous estate in the middle of a splendid Tuscan landscape. The house was very tastefully decorated, the climatization was brand new and perfectly working and really nothing was missing and everything was in the best status possible. The whole organisation from checkin to checkout was seemless, the pool temperature perfect.The whole group loved the house and the enviroment.

Wonderful, memorable Tuscan vacation!

Our family of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) had an incredible time at this property. Clean, spacious well-appointed home with the most stunning panoramic views over the Tuscan hills, and lovely pool area. The hosts warmly welcomed us at check in and had even left us a homemade chocolate cake which was incredible. The home was very clean, each bedroom was very spacious and equipped with AC, and it is very isolated so we appreciated the tranquility and privacy. A car would be a must to stay at this property in our opinion, given the remoteness. Siena was an easy ~20 minute drive and grocery stores/pizzerias/etc are about 15 mins by car. We have to give a special thank you to the host, Cristiano. One person in our group fell quite ill during our week there and not speaking the language, we reached out to Cristiano and he was such an incredible help, I don’t know what we would’ve done without him. He went above and beyond helping us see a doctor and we are so thankful! We had such a fantastic time and would return again in a heartbeat. Thank you Simonetta and Cristiano.

Under the Tuscan Sun

We loved this 100 year old farm house surrounded by olive trees and wineries. Beautiful views and it was wonderful starting a fire in the huge fireplace. We loved it.

Awesome Villa

Dream vacation in Chianti. 1000 year old farm house with everything we needed. Tuscan hilltop with beautiful views. Our hosts drove from Rome to meet us and showed us everything in the villa to get started. Eight family members were very comfortable. Be prepared to drive 10 -20 minutes for restaurants and groceries.

Wunderschönes Haus mitten in der Natur

Ideal house with lovely pool. Clean, had everything you needed. Out in the hills, so needed to jump into the car to get anywhere but if you are looking for a quiet spot it's ideal.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour à proximité de cette charmante ville de Sienne. L’habitation est meublée avec goût et parfaitement adaptée à notre famille élargie. La nuit des cerfs et des biches viennent brouter l’herbe autour de la maison. Bref un très bon séjour

What a wonderful location!

This location is absolutely perfect if you want quiet and distant rural views. It was hot while we were there so the pool was a beautiful necessity. Siena is nearby, and local restaurants are even closer. To be able to walk to two vineyards for wine tasting was an added bonus. Our hosts were a delight to deal with throughout the two and a half years that it took us to complete this trip. We cannot recommend it highly enough - fantastic!

A Dream Vacation

Don't hesitate to reserve this property! We just returned from a wonderful stay with our 5 children for a week in Tuscany. The property was exactly as pictured and a true dream location in the Tuscan hills, yet close enough to Siena for easy day trips. The house was immaculately clean and everything worked perfectly. The hosts were warm and welcoming. We would love to visit again someday!

Toscana-Feeling pur

Sehr schöne Alleinlage. Gute Ausstattung. Hier kann man perfekt entspannen, Landschaft und Natur beobachten. Ein erfrischender Pool, in dem man tatsächlich schwimmen kann (15 m). Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge (Siena, Schloss Brolio mit Weinverkostung, Skulpturenpark, …). Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

A week in Tuscany

Although Pievascatia is hard to find it is very centrally located for visiting anywhere in Tuscany. The home / villa is ideal. Quiet, quiet, quiet!!! All the privacy you could want. The views from all the rooms and pool deck are fantastic!! Vistas of vineyards and olive orchards greet you in every direction. Inside the villa you will not lack for space. Each of the 5 bedrooms are quite large and with 3 bathrooms there should not be any problems. We enjoyed a great week in Tuscany. Make sure that the Siena Duomo is on your list of things to-do. Ciao
