September 2020 Stay

Jekyll Island is one of the best islands in the USA. Great beaches, lots of beautiful live oaks, and one of the best places to ride bikes on beach or on the beautiful bike paths inland. We had gone there for years and will continue to enjoy its wonders.

November 2018 Stay

As always, A Jekyll Interlude is top notch. We love the kitchen renovations . The only negative was the owners of the property next door were here for 3 nights and allowed their dogs to bark all hours of the day and night. Even so, We will be back!

December 2021 Stay

Thanks for making a great week possible. No squawks on the place. The only thing that was not perfect was the heat lamp in the smaller bathroom is burned out. But we didn't need it. The master bed's mattress could be a bit better, but I understand the need to economize. The tub wasn't very clean, but that was easy to remedy. We love having the back yard for the dog. Sand and Surf, History, Walks

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've seen a lot of changes since my family first vacationed on Jekyll in 1966. For some years a bologna sandwich was a better meal that you could get on the island. Today, the total experience of being on the island is better than I can remember.There are few things better than a house rental for enjoying the best this historic island has to offer. Our stay was on Glynn Ave, a very short walk from the surf and a scenic walk to the historic section of the island. A Jekyll Interlude gave us the best of both the beachside and the riverside. We ate at the good restaurants, and we ate at the house, giving us the best of both worlds.And Sir Reginald Bumble Paws (Great Pyr) enjoyed his long walks and lazy days with his people.

We Love Jekyll....

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We travel to Jekyll Island every year. This year we extended our stay for three weeks. We needed a home for three nights and Jekyll Realty was quick to accomodate us. The home is in a very nice location. It has a well kept yard and the back yard is fenced and is a nice size. The home itself is pretty outdated. We have found this to be the case in a lot of homes on Jekyll Island. The furniture could use some updating. The ceiling fan in the one bedroom was very noisy and I feared it would fall from the ceiling. The ceiling fan in the living room did not work at all. This was an issue because the air conditioner would not go lower than 70 and parts of the home were stuffy. With all of that said, the home was adequate and it served our purpose.

Family Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always, this property is never a disappointment. There was still fence damage following Hurricane Irma that had not been repaired. While that is no fault of the owner or management company, since this is a pet friendly property, a temporary repair to the downed fence could have been done. We were aware of the situation prior to our arrival, so we brought materials to secure the area for our dogs. My only other issue and I made it very clear to the management company. The landscape crew did not properly secure the gate when they finished so one of my dogs got out of the yard. All is well that ends well but on a pet friendly property, making sure the fence is secure should be a priority for any service personnel working on the property when it is occupied.

Amazing People

Thomas was a great help after hours!!I won't rent this house again (or any owned by this person) as we received calls on the house phone instructing us on the dos and don'ts of parking. My agreement was with JI Realty and not the homeowner. I didn't go on vacation to be harassed by a homeowner with a ring doorbell.I will recommend JI Realty to friends (and I have) but not this property!

Nice house

Reviewer Comments: The house was nice, but the sheets were horribly rough and they have instructions for their Hulu and other internet streaming but they didn't work the entire time we there.yoi could also tell that they do not mop and sweep a whole lot because there was fog hair everywhere and the floors were very dirty. Other than that it was a nice stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A Jekyll Interlude is the perfect house for a trip away from home. The house is charming, both inside and out. The rooms are clean and the interior is decorated with pictures of Jekyll throughout the home. There are puzzles, movies, and books to keep you occupied if it rains and the kitchen is stocked with all the pots, pans, and dishes you need to make the perfect meal. There is a fenced yard with plenty of shade and a perfect patio area to have a glass of wine while you enjoy nature. It's also a short bike ride to both the beach and the historic area.We will definitely book this house again. Kudos to both the owners and Jekyll Realty for making the week perfect!

Thanksgiving 2023

We have love A Jekyll Interlude and the Jekyll Realty staff. The house is perfect for our family and the fenced backyard is fantastic for our dogs. However, we were deeply disappointed with the sheets that are now part of the rental fee. We were told they would be hotel quality, but one set was so bad, we couldn't sleep on it. it was rough like sandpaper. We would like to see 'linens provided' return to being an option not included. Next year we will bring our own. We are not a fan of streaming services because of connectivity issues we have had at home but the provided service is adequate for our needs. Our less than stellar review is only because of the linens. Otherwise, A Jekyll Interlude is always 5 stars.

Peaceful Vacation

August 2022 Stay

My favorite island and my favorite home to stay at. Stayed here many years on vacation and always have pleasant experience with Jekyll Island Realty. The house meets all our needs. There are a few repairs that need to be made this visit. The two lights on the patio do not work. Sink in kitchen is stopped up on the opposite side of garage disposal which filled up both sides with water when we tried to use the dishwasher. The dishwasher soap dispenser is broken so you can only sanitize the dishes. So this requires hand washing the dishes. The lock on the front door is tricky. We were locked out and the Realtor responded quickly. They didn’t change the door locks but made new keys which fixed the problem. Small problems which probably have never been reported. Love the Island, Love Jekyll Island Realty. If available will always stay here❤️❤️❤️

Just what we needed

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I, along with our two small terriers Lily and Freya found this house to fit the bill for a 4-day getaway in December. The dogs loved the huge, secure backyard, and we all enjoyed the Christmas experience in the community. We attended the parade and enjoyed the gorgeous light show.
